Victor interviews that the kids made mistakes – for example Jessi fell out of her turns. Jessi cries, as does Susan (of course). Susan says Jessi was shaken up because of Mia being there. Okay, can we please stop using Mia as an excuse for everything?
The trio seems to portray Mia as the other woman who steals Lucas away from Kimmy, so no wonder Ani was so upset. Poor Kimmy.
Group awards. The trio gets first place and the group only gets third. Leo says that Mia isn’t used to getting anything less than first place and that she (Leo) is “embarrassed” for Mia. Well then, it’s time that Mia got an intro the real world, isn’t it? I was neutral on Leo before, but now I’m leaning towards “dislike.”
Meanwhile, the moms and kids STILL don’t know if someone’s solo is going to be pulled. If this whole thing is real, it’s pretty shitty not to tell the kids until the last minute. Leo comes into the green room and asks what’s going on. Abby tells her to mind her own beeswax since her kid is getting a solo no matter what. PLUS, Mia had a trio and was featured in the group number. Leo tries to say that as the “guest,” Mia should get a solo, otherwise what’s the point. Susan points out that Leo and Mia could end up staying and if that’s the case, it’s only their first week with the group so it’s not fair. Leo again says it’s not her fault. Is anything this bitch’s fault?
Bob tells VictAng that they should have known ahead of time what was going on and registered for three solos. Right! I hate when Bob and I agree on things. She says it’s not right to wait until the last minute. Right again! VictAng pause and preen dramatically before announcing that there will, in fact, be three solos. Even so, that was so uncalled for. Give me as much fake bullshit as you want, but make it not ridiculous. Abby is pissed because Sammy is going on first and wasn’t even sure until the last minute whether she would go on at all. I don’t disagree with that.
Sammy goes on, then Hannah, who fears that she won’t place high because her solo more about artistry than technique.
Mia goes last and she is very good. It definitely helps that her “chorography” is not the typical VictAng zombie/robot dance (as someone mentioned in the comments). Also, she is a cute little girl and a really good performer (although she does have a small case of the Maddie Ziegler Distracting Face™ going on).
Sorry, Miss. Toddlers and Tiaras is down the hall
But it’s still disgusting how much VictAng are fawning all over her. It’s not fair to throw the other kids under the bus (you knew the bus was coming, didn’t you?) Susan says Mia was amazing, but it’s not fair how VictAng are “over-glorifying” her. Is “over-glorify” like “below herself”? Susan needs her own glossary.
Solo awards. Hannah comes in sixth and Bob is happy. I guess she could do worse. Maddie, I mean MIA, comes in first, naturally. Sammy places second, which is great considering she was dancing against much older kids.
In the dressing room, Mayra asks Leo if she felt like a celebrity. Leo says she does, she does! Bitchette, who is still a bitter kitten, says Leo is a “celebrity in her own little mind because I don’t think she’s a celebrity at all.”
So this is where things get weird. Leo points to the moms and says “this – won’t affect my daughter. Everyone is concerned about their own kid, not mine.” Bitchette says “Never mind about your kid.” And Leo says something like “for six weeks you were concerned about what others thought about you, now my daughter and I come and it’s an issue.” I have NO IDEA what they are talking about. I feel like I missed something, and I rewound a couple of times. I feel like there is missing footage or something.
