Christi pipes up, but Cathy tells Jabby to “put a muzzle on Blondie.” Hey! Don’t mess with Blondie. Sunday Girl is a great song. Jabby manages to push Cathy out the door and Christi puts a stool in front of it and sits in it, say that she never agrees with Jabby, but this time she has her back.
The Candy Apple’s practice their sad routine with umbrellas, when Jabby comes in to harass them. She comes into their practice room and tells them it’s bad luck to open an umbrella indoors. Cathy again brings up the mysterious phone calls, but Jabby says it’s just one mom she needs to worry about. Justice’s mom, who, Jabby says, is “not doing Justice justice.” Does anyone know what’s going on here? I sure don’t.
As it turns out, Justice’s mom, Tanya, apparently called Jabby or called Melissa or something without Cathy’s knowledge. Cathy is mortified and angry and takes Tanya outside to take a walk and yell at her all the way down the street. I suppose this is to suggest that Justice is going to leave the Apple’s and join ALDC next season? We will see, I guess.
Back in her studio, Jabby yells at the girls that if they don’t win tomorrow, there will be hell to pay and they will all have to audition next season with all the others. Jabby tells them “there should be red beef jerky blood on that stage tomorrow!”
Competition day. The Candy Apple’s cheerlead and chant outside the ALDC dressing room while the girls get ready. Jabby interviews that Cathy is making a complete ass of herself and she would be mortified if her teacher acted like that. I agree. For all her faults, at least Jabby’s not batshit crazy.
Maddie’s solo is first. She looks great.
I’m not even complaining about her face this week.
Justice’s mother in the audience looks like Cha Cha DeGregorio from Grease.
The best dancer at St. Bernadette’s (With the worst reputation)
Jabby says that Maddie looks like a 25-year-old professional. Professional WHAT?
Justice is up next and apparently he’s doing a routine from Les Mis or something? I don’t know.
One day more!
He does some acro moves, but the rest is nothing special. Jabby says she’ll be livid if he beats her girls because his choreography sucks. Cathy of course says his technique is flawless.
In the green room, Jabby says Maddie set the bar high. Kelly says that Jabby is so sidetracked with Cathy, she’s not paying attention to Brooke. Oh my god. Did Kelly not get enough attention from her parents or something?
Anne Frank is up next.
Brooke does a great job, although, seriously, would Anne Frank be crawling on her chin in the attic like that? Kelly is happy (for once) and says that Brooke actually expressed emotion on her face.
