Kelly says her kids are ALWAYS on the bottom and Jabby is always mad at Kelly. Hmm, interesting theory. She’s probably right.
Melissa says no, of course not. I didn’t notice this the first time I watched, but Holly and Christi exchange a hilarious look when Melissa says no. LOL.
Melissa is wack!
Anyway, Melissa maintains that everything is fiiiiiiine between her and Jabby. In an interview, she tells us that she’s not working at the front desk anymore because she doesn’t have “time.” She has to pay for all those “cease and desist” letters somehow, y’all.
Christi interviews that Melissa constantly makes it clear that she doesn’t “have” to work anymore. Then she says that this has caused a rift between Jabby and Melissa, because Jabby’s used to Melissa being at her beck and call.
Paige’s solo is called Tongue Twister, and she learned it a year ago but never finished it or used it on stage. Jabby screams at her to be “big” and says she’ll either make a fool of herself or win. Jabby should do motivational seminars.
Jabby’s rehearsing Brooke’s solo (“Paint the Picture,” because she’ll be Painting a Picture with her body.) After, Jab tells Brooke to send Kelly down because she has to speak to her about something Very Important. Jabby tells Kelly that the chair Paige is using in her solo needs rubber stoppers on the feet by TOMORROW. Got that? Tomorrow. Kelly’s like, “yeah, no problemo.”
So, when you say “tomorrow” you mean next Tuesday, right?
Then Jabby says something to Kelly about Brooke taking voice lessons, and tells her she needs to take them from the woman at Abby Lee Studio. What? Since when is there a voice teacher at Abby Lee Studio? What else do they have going on there? Clown school? Mime College?
Kelly is leery of this prospect, but Jabby tells her not to be a “momager” and to get a clue. Jabby reminds Kelly that Jabby is Brooke’s manager, so she has final say. Kelly says that Jabby is only Brooke’s manager for dance and not singing or one-week fake forays into cheerleading. Kelly tells Jabby that she wants to take care of Brooke’s voice lessons on her own. Jabby says that Kelly doesn’t know what she’s talking about. Kelly agrees to let Brooke take one lesson, probably just to shut Jabby up (and because the producers made her).
Jabby’s still at the front desk when Melissa comes down to talk about how great Maddie is.
Maddie’s great, isn’t she? Do you miss me? I miss you. Do you want to come over and watch Modern Family tonight?
She says all the other kids run out of the studio at the end of the day but she has to beg Maddie to leave. Probably because Maddie doesn’t want to go home to god only KNOWS what.
Melissa mentions that since Maddie hasn’t had a solo in two weeks, she hasn’t had any quality time with the Jabinator. She asks if Maddie can have an hour-long private the next day. When Jabby says she doesn’t have an hour, Melissa says she’ll take a half hour or ten minutes or she’ll wash Jabby’s car or whatever.
Jabby says that she has tons of ideas for Maddie, but none of them matter if Maddie has no confidence – which she didn’t, even in the group dance. Melissa says that Maddie was still better than everyone else. Jabby finally decides that if she has alone time with Maddie, maybe she can get to the bottom of why Maddie’s been so crazy lately.
Brooke has a voice lesson with a woman named Cathy – sadly not Crazy Apple Cathy – and Jabby sticks her nose in to see how she’s doing.
Not our Crazy Apple
Cathy says that Brooke can sing as well as she wants to. Jabby makes Brooke sing and I feel like it could be okay if she keeps up the lessons. She seemed a little flat (or something) but I think overall has a good voice. (But I sing as well as I dance, so take that for what it’s worth.)
And Iiiiiiiiiii, will alwayyyyysssss love youuuuuuuu
