It seems so weird to actually see the girls interacting with each other. I wish we could see more of this instead of Kelly and Christi complaining about nonsense.
In the green room, Jabby says the number was disappointing and she notes that Mackenzie was late to start. Holly says the judges didn’t like the number, but Jabby says the judges didn’t like Nia falling on her back. Holly interviews that Maddie missed the same trick a few weeks ago. Oh Holly. Don’t get on the Maddie train like the other moms. You’re better than that.
Time for Payton’s solo.
Kelly rolls her eyes throughout the entire performance, or so we are led to believe.
This is your brain on “lemonade”
In the green room, Jabby asks Leslie how she thought Payton did. Leslie says that Payton didn’t have enough practice time. But Jabby’s like shut up, you’re the one who asked for the solo. She adds that when you go to an audition, you have to learn it right there. Jabby interviews that ALL the moms need to zip it! It’s her way or the highway!
Then Jabby asked Kelly if she remembers when she asked why Payton was there. Kelly tries to backpedal and say she only was asking why Payton got to do a solo out of nowhere. Then Kelly says the “kids and I” don’t want Payton around because Leslie bullies them. This supposedly makes Leslie cry, although the editing once again is suspect.
I’m either crying or I have a coke problem
I hate when they show a supposed conversation, but they don’t show the two people on camera together. That always makes me think that they are splicing shit together.
Anyway, confronted with Leslie’s tears, Jabby tells her to save her tears for her pillow. (Ha!) Leslie says don’t talk to her like that because she’s an adult. Yes, throwing plates is certainly adult behavior. Jabby says if she’s an adult, she shouldn’t be sitting here “boo-hooing.”
The girls are about to go on for the group so Jabby gives one of her patented pep talks. She tells them if they come in tenth place, they’d better get supportive shoes because they can plan on walking home.
The group dances and I guess I have nothing to say about it, because I didn’t write anything down other than the costumes are ugly.
What’s with the black socks?
Jabby says they were right on the money, so I guess that’s good.
Awards. Chloe gets fourth for her solo. Maddie gets first overall for hers. Melissa claims she is “surprised.” Whatevs, Mel. Payton supposedly gets second in the teen category, but there’s some discussion saying she actually came in seventh. I can’t IMAGINE that this show would EVER fudge the results so that MUST be a mistake.
