Previously: Shrill and Kendall came back; Maddie won a role on Drop Dead Diva; Jabby made Maddie display all her crowns; Paige hurt her foot.
The girls file into the studio, sans Kelly and Paige. Turns out that Paige is at the doctor’s because her foot may be hurt worse than previously thought. Instead of offering any kind of sympathy, Jabby says she TOLD Paige not to fool around on the cement dressing room floor. Christi interviews that most people would accept it as an accident, but Jabby needs to assign blame.
Christi asks where Shrill is and Jabby says that Shrill is not an official member of their team so she can suck a bag of dicks. (I am paraphrasing.)
Jabby says that congratulations are in order. Last week the girls performed three solos and all three ended up in the top ten. This week, they will be going to the City of Brotherly Love, i.e. Philadelphia. Note that it’s not called the City of Jabberly Love for good reason. The comp is at Starbound and of course it’s a must-win because they are Starbound national winners. They are in the brochures. Just once I’d like Jabby to say “I just want you to try hard and do your best.”
Pyramid time. Paige is last because she had the nerve to go and hurt herself. Then we have Mackenzie who is there to learn or something. Then Chloe. Chloe did great in the group number, but she didn’t have a solo so Jabby has nothing to judge her on.
Second row, we have Brooke because of her “maturity” during rehearsals all week. Next is Nia. Jabby says she really sold the number. Yay, Nia. Finally, on top, as usual, we have our little Drop Dead Diva, Maddie. The top spot is warranted for once because she beat everyone at the comp with the highest score ever, or something.
This week, everyone will be in the group number except Mackenzie, but Mackenzie will get a solo. Maddie, of course, will do a solo as well. Brooke also gets a solo and it will be about the Diary of Anne Frank. Holocaust numbers must be all the rage lately. Remember that Schindler’s List dance that beat them a few weeks ago? Brooke interviews that she knows who Anne Frank is but she’s not sure what she has to do with dancing. I think all of America would agree with you on that, Brooke.
Next we learn that Chloe and Paige have been begging Jabby for years to let them do a duet together and this is finally their week. That’s so awesome that their long-lived dream will finally be realized. I hope nothing goes wrong.
Paige finally arrives and she has a big Boot of Sadness on her leg.
Turns out, her foot is broken and she can’t dance for four to six weeks! Poor Paige. Chloe is really upset and cries too. Jabby makes her feel worse by screaming at her that she’s only upset about the duet that they can’t do now. Jabby says that Paige is not off the hook and that she should show up to class every day with a notebook to take notes and learn while she is incapacitated.
