Later during the rehearsal, Kelly notices that Brooke is grimacing and holding her back.
This is my happy face
She surmises that Brooke’s hip and back hurt. Geez, Louise, these girls are a mess this week. Kelly interviews that at Brooke’s age, people usually stop doing acro routines because it’s harder for them to move like that. That’s why I don’t do acro routines anymore.
Out in the parking lot, Shrill and Kendall arrive. For a minute I thought Kendall was wearing a pageant sash and I was like “what is Shrill up to NOW?” but it was only her bag. You never know with these people.
Anyway, Shrill says she and Kendall were not invited to pyramid because they are not on the team, but they are there to take classes. Shrill says she is prepared to “be patient” and wait for an opportunity to present itself. She is like a spider hanging on its web waiting for a hapless fly to make a wrong turn.
They enter the dressing room, and lo and behold, there is a big fat juicy fly with a broken foot waiting for them. Paige is sitting there with her notebook. Shrill cackles and rubs her eight legs together in anticipation. Shrill says to Kendall “what do you say to Paige?” Kendall chirps “Good luck!” and goes into class, leaving the prey alone with the predator.
So sorry about your foot… who’s filling in for you?
Shrill interviews that she feels bad for Paige, but maybe “I” can fill in for her.
I know Christi said the same thing, and I’m sure other people have thought this too, but isn’t it just a little suspicious that two girls have broken a foot in Shrill’s presence? She’s like the Drew Peterson of Dance Moms.
Shrill continues to interrogate Paige about her injury and elicits the info that Paige was supposed to do a duet with Chloe that week. You can actually see Shrill’s ears perk up. She interviews that this sort of thing happens all the time. It’s unfortunate for Paige, but fortunate for Kendall. Which is true, but she could at least wait until the CSI team dusts the scene for fingerprints.
Paige goes up to the observation booth and says that Shrill was sniffing around and asking questions. Kelly says that Shrill needs to get it through her head that she is not part of the group.
Shrill saunters up to the front desk and says she “heard” that Paige broke her foot.
We can’t even keep our faces straight
Jabby says Paige didn’t break her foot, she broke her TOE UP IN her foot. Big difference, apparently. Shrill says she heard Paige is out for four to six weeks. Jabby says that has nothing to do with Shrill. Shrill sees that her subtle line of questioning isn’t working so she comes right out and asks if there is a spot for Kendall.
