Desperate Housewives Recap: Series Finale (Part 1)

Lynette’s walking back with the ice when she’s stopped by Tom.  Long story short (too late), he apologizes to Lynette and tells her that he realizes that their problems seemed big but now he realizes that he loves her and he needed to tell her that.  Because, you know, “you have to say these things while you still can.”  He tells Lynette that even though Lynette’s moved on, he hopes she’ll be happy, because Lynette will always be the love of his life.  Lynette’s all, Um, wha, I’ve moved on?  Tom thought she was in love with someone else.  Lynette says that she is:  She’s in love with Tom.  Awwww.  Then they kiss and they’re reunited and it feels so good.

Well, that’s it for part one of the finale!  Part two comin’ up!

Nice recap. I total got a Lohan vibe when Bree was walking into the courthouse. I’m really going to miss these ladies (except for Susan, sorry!)

Of course, they left a huge amount of plot holes. Nothing’s going to happen to the cop who falsified evidence? No one’s investigating Mike’s murder? Susan’s fine with letting Ben hang out with her kid even though he’s indirectly responsible for Mike’s death? Like you said, just let it go.

Bree shot the Applewhite kid? Didn’t the police shoot him through the window?

I cried. Loved the finale. Don’t remember half the people at the ending.

That was one messed up street.

Will miss this show. I heart Ben and Renee.
