Krystle says she feels sexy all over then points out her boyfriend Kevin in the audience and gets a little choked up thanking him. He says he’s speechless at her transformation because it feels like she got her old self back. Bunny was most impressed with her new attitude because she’s a natural show girl and was giving them pageant flair while Tamala said Touché sashayed, shantayed down the runway and she loved it.

Missy’s favorite part of the experience was working with Chad (awww) and how he helped her find her inner confidence to get through the tough times and work “all this.” Ru agreed with me that Missy was channeling JLo and Bunny jokes that she was tougher, though, putting the “jail” back in JLo. (Huh?) Tamala said she walked like she owned the runway and Jamal tells her she had definite drag swag.
As with everything else this episode, they all performed really well. If the “nerds” last week were likeable in their earnestness to do well, Cynthia, Krystle and Missy actually put on an entertaining performance.
I don’t think any other group managed to be this in sync.
If Krystle was weaker it was only because Missy and Cynthia were so strong. And it felt like they featured a lot more of the performance than other episodes. But what did the falculty think. Well, by the editing it seemed like they felt Krystle was just a little off the standard set by the other two but seemed to prefer Cynthia to Missy, which would kind of break the pattern. So who wins?
The prettiest one!
But this was such a close episode. I could have easily seen it going to Cynthia, too. Missy’s so excited she says she’s jumping out of her heels while her husband says he’s proud of her. They’re cute. Cynthia feels that even if she didn’t win doors are going to open for her and Krystle thinks the whole experience was worth it and she’s proud of all of them.
And that’s it for another week. It might be formulaic and the whole thing is scripted and planned to within an inch of its life, but they’ve been featuring some really likeable women, and Tamara, so formula or not it’s just nice to see the nice side of drag. And from Raven of all people.

@valle,
“I don’t think any other group managed to be this in sync.”
I couldn’t agree more. They really were good, and heck, when Krystal said she thought they all did well, I got a little wet eye.
Cynthia, I hate to say, looked kind of like a guy in a dress (sorry) She is so fierce and beautiful, but sometimes over-doing the makeup on a grrrl like her does the opposite. Loved her abs, her BF was crazy!!!
I love Ru’s music, truly! I listen to Glamazon and the Main Event, and Jealous of my boogie all the time. She is very clever and I love her to death, but I don’t think she should be using “hallalou” . . . that was coined by a much lesser Queen, and Ru deserves the best! So there!
Ha! “Tyra’s flogging a Jay” is my new favorite phrase!
@Juddfan I wholeheartedly agree! I still have a picture I took with my first boyfriend, who wore makeup. For fun I had him do my makeup that day, but when we got the pics back I looked like the boy and he looked like the girl! I didn’t look bad, just a bit masculine (though it didn’t help I’m somewhat androgynous naturally)b/c his style put me over that edge.
I love his music too! <3 all those songs, and Lady Boy! "Don't you know, I'm that chick you know, that my world won't stop if you clock me. You got me!"
I’m starting to get really mad at this show.
