Drag U Recap: NERDS!

Then Dylan gets even more emotional in an interview and tells us that she is a failure and even though she hasn’t talked to her mother in two years she’d like to tell her she’s sorry and loves her, even though she hurt Dylan, and wants her “mommy” back. That’s sad.

So of course, it cuts right to this:

Stay classy, editors. But it is time for Quick Drag so the ladies have to get over their fear of dressing up and have at the hairdids, frocks, makeup and glitter to put together a drag look. Ready, set…play.

Immediately Dylan heads for a Ronald McDonald wig which doesn’t make Delta happy and Shante doesn’t want to show off her back because she has deep indents in her shoulder from wearing the wrong bra for so many years. Stacy would have told you about that. As Pandora and Kristy shill for a sponsor Jujubee and Shante shill for another then Pandora offers a drive-by read about Juju’s feet and it’s time to meet Ru at the Dragulator.

If you want to be the new Raven you best come harder. Bitch.

Ru likes Kristy’s quick drag and wants to know why she picked such a fun and sparkly dress. It fit. Okay. Next up…Shante. Shante just goes right into explaining that she wanted the jacket to cover up the marks on her shoulder and Ru doesn’t question her. Finally, Dylan’s wearing a red sequin mini dress, neon green strappy platforms and carrying a bubblegum pink bag. Ru likes it and Dylan says she chose it to be the opposite of what she normally wears. What a good little Do-Be.

Back from break and it’s time for the Dragulator looks. First up, Kristy.

She gets goggle-eyed at Felicity, and I’m about 98% sure it’s a good thing. She just says “Wow” but in interview says she does see some of herself in Felicity. Then she tells Ru she looks like Dame Edna, so analyze THAT. Ru says he likes that it shows a little bit of leg but is still a gown.

Next up, Dylan.

They’re all reduced to just making Batman noises like “What the…?” and “Damn” and “Holy Moly,” but in interview Dylan says “What the hell is that?” Heh. Ru points out that the slit elongates her leg but Dylan’s a little uncomfortable with how high the slit is. Since it comes with leggings Ru just rubs his hands in glee and says “Higher higher” like he’s the piano player in Reefer Madness. (“Faster…play faster.“)

Finally, Shante.

Jujubee is meowing and Shante says in interview that it doesn’t look like her. But she tells Ru, admiringly, that she is “Japanime realness” and that Dolores looks like she has confidence that Shante doesn’t. Jujubee tells us in interview that she will become Dolores Day…with a little work. Seriously, when did she join the Junior League?
