Drag U Recap: Where Are Our Cupcakes

How did they do on the performance? Well, Marilyn will get her participant ribbon and while she was in her own world doing her own thing she didn’t seem embarrassed or self conscious about not knowing the routine which, for her, was the victory. And while it seemed more even when I watched the episode live…Sarah was making big chunks of it, too, whereas Lovely was far and away the best performer, even without the lollipop.

Not Jiggly Caliente.

For me, I thought it was a clear win for Lovely. On all three points she was the most focused and comfortable. But what did the judges think? Bunny didn’t really think Lovely transformed all that much but Candis and especially Angela seemed to think she did well and is a natural performer. They all kind of agree that the personal victory was the most important for Marilyn since she wasn’t going to win the competition. But she did loosen up and have fun. Angela thought Sarah came in with the idea to just play but discovered other aspects in her personality while Candis misses the mirror paddles to give her a B- for the dance.

So who won?

Really?

Even if it should have been obvious, I didn’t think she performed at Lovely’s level. Regardless, she’s happy and continues to be sassy in her post win interview while Alexis BAM’s. Then Lovely jokes about wanting to snatch Sarah off the runway when she won. Heh. Everybody say LOVE!

Ugh, this is the second time they picked the wrong person. -___-
Sarah had no issues and I feel like she wasn’t even taking the whole thing seriously. She didn’t even need to be in Drag U…she just needed to go on What Not to Wear so she could get some new clothes and a better hairdo. Or she just needed to crack a damn Glamour, because if she wants to look cute for her husband, it’s as simple as buying a dress, combing her hair and slapping on some eyeliner. Coming to Drag U was overkill.

To be fair, Lovely didn’t need to be on Drag U either. She needed a day planner and a watch, so she could write WORK from 8 am – 7 pm and then PLAY from 7 pm onward. Also, she needed better friends because friends don’t let friends work themselves to death. But I feel like she tried more than Sarah did, so I wish she would have won.

Or even Marilyn would have been better than Sarah. She’s the only one who really had issues. Blehh.

What was really going on with Latrice’s bodysuit though?

Nice to see you all getting upset over the winner . . . I think this show is more of an appetizer for me, so I don’t overly care who wins. I did think it was close, and I agree, chaos, neither grrrl really needed Drag U, but I do believe the contestants they have are, for the most part, tragically lost in a slump. I can see how interacting with the Drag Queens and Ru could give them a charge!

    see y’all next week!
