Gilles & Cheryl (Season 8) - Skip ahead to 1:28 to see the dance.
Apolo & Karina
Both were definitely sexy. Gilles’ was a more subtly sexy while Apolo and Karina just dry humped one another on the dance floor. I like the idea of a statue coming to life as the concept for this dance. However, I think the two background living statues were just distracting. Also, what is with the costumers and those fringed pants? How long before we all join hands across America to stop that?
OK, my rant is over. Let’s see what the judges have to say about this dance. Len wishes the foot placement was a little cleaner and he wanted them to be more in hold. Bruno said something about a muse of dance and spending the night together. He is surprising calm. Maybe he finally had his orgasm. Carrie Ann thinks the dance will be one they never forget.
Carrie Ann – 9
Len – 8
Bruno – 8.5 (He didn’t yell “and a HALF!” Maybe he really did have his orgasm!)
After the commercial break, Kelly and Val are dancing the paso doble that Maks and Laila Ali did in season 4. Oh, man! Kelly is putting brother against brother! I’m sure this was in no way set up by producers to try to create any type of drama. Sadly, we really don’t get that.
Laila & Maks (Season 4) - Skip ahead to 1:48 to see the dance.
Kelly & Val
I should probably say that Laila and Maks were better because, well, Laila could kick my ass. However, I think Kelly and Val vastly improved the dance. For starters, Kelly actually danced a lot more than Laila did. Also, even without hearing the story, there was a pretty clear narrative going throughout that dance. Just from watching it, you knew what the story was.
Now let’s hear from the people who actually know anything about dance! Bruno is back to building to his orgasm. He stands up and tells Kelly that he’s tingly with pleasure. Carrie Ann loves the chemistry that Val and Kelly have. Len wants to know where the talent suddenly came from. He loves Kelly’s expression throughout her entire body.
Carrie Ann – 9
Len – 9
Bruno – 9
27/30 They’re currently tied for first place!
Hooray! Kristie is going to recreate Carson Kressley’s cha-cha from season 13! I loved Carson like it was my job (partly because he was from my hometown – yay, for the Lehigh Valley!). If anyone was going to bring the same level of entertainment, it would be Kirstie. The two of them are just nut jobs, but they own it!
Oooh! Before we get to the dance, Tom has a “bombshell announcement.” Paula Abdul will be a guest judge next Monday night. Because Carrie Ann and Bruno just didn’t bring enough crazy, I guess. I’m kind of excited to see what Len does when he has to deal with Paula. I can’t wait to see what happens!
