Flipping Out Recap: Survival of the Crudest

Last week, Jenni, Jeff, and Andrew went to Chicago to make some progress with wedding plans.  Work continues on Gramercy, and Jeff Lewis Designs will be moving from West Knoll to Spring Oak.  Jeff and company met with Jeanne at Mulholland to move forward with remodeling plans.

There’s often conversations and practical jokes that go on at Jeff Lewis Designs that would be deemed inappropriate in most work places, but Jeff likes joking around and having fun, so the line is blurry.  Outside of the private office, though, Jeff expects everyone to behave professionally.  This week’s episode will help define the lines for Andrew, a new employee.

WEST KNOLL

Andrew has found some cabinet pulls that Jeff has been looking for.  There’s some talk about the size and shape, leading Jeff and Andrew to joke about it like they’re describing a penis.  Gage is somewhat appalled but knows it’s Jeff goofing off.  Gage seems a little more concerned about Andrew taking stuff too far.

Is porn okay in the office?

Jenni gives Jeff a gift card and note thanking him for being a good friend and going with her to Chicago.  Jeff thinks it should be in a much larger amount than she’s given him.

CALABASAS

Lisa G. is a new client and is meeting with Jeff, Jenni, and contractors to sign off on the plans for her remodel.  Lisa has bought a new home and wanted some simple changes, but Jeff has talked her into a much bigger remodel to make it spectacular.  Jenni loves watching Lisa deal with Jeff because she is firm and sticking to her budget.  Jeff has met his match.

Lisa shows Jeff who’s the boss.

GRAMERCY

Someone missed a turn and plowed down a stucco wall in last week’s episode, so repairs are underway.  With setbacks like this, Gage thinks they might never be able to move into Gramercy.

SPRING OAK

Jeff is preparing for a final inspection and permits before he can move into Spring Oak.  He goes over the property with Andrew to make sure everything is scheduled to be completed before the inspection.  Andrew has been doing a good job so far.  While the contractor is there taking a measurement, Andrew offers to hold his stick, which upsets Jeff.

Jeff makes it clear to Andrew that he’s not happy about the sexual innuendo and that Jeff could be sued for it.  He asks Andrew to focus on the job rather than Frank’s penis and keep his hands to himself.  That’s gonna be hard.

Is that Andrew in the tree dressed like a squirrel screaming, “Look at my nuts?”

Jenni has been appointed to Human Resources and is trying to learn the various codes and laws.  She’ll be taking reports and opening files as needed.

Living in New Orleans, it helps to be a good swimmer.

These Flipping Out recaps are the worst ones on this site. Seriously, are you even trying? There are so many hilarious moments in the show and the recapper should be someone who knows how to write something (anything!) funny. No one needs a play-by-play of the show…we want comments and snark and cleverness. Good grief.

God I love this show and Jeff is a human resource dream come true! Placing Jenni in that position is sure to cause her some serious conflicts. He’s the worst offender. I’m surprised he didn’t kick that little yappy dog Andrew was dog-sitting to the curb, but Jeff is an animal lover, not a people lover.

Watching Jeff Lewis go toe-to-toe with Lisa Gregorisch from “EXTRA” was like watching a Dominatrix with her whip, lashing out at Jeff, who is on his knees with a ball-gag in his mouth, to keep him from asking for more money…. viciously entertaining!

A little more snark in the recap wouldn’t be a bad idea….. the captions are great…. just sayin’

These recaps aren’t great, but I have seen worse. More snark would be awesome.

I haven’t been able to find the ones for the past 2 eps…. are they up anywhere?
