   Soooo happy you guys recapped this. Ten minutes into the show i prayed you would. I like to read about the love to hate super trashy shows, miss advised, bh nannies, bc the people are so ridiculous. They are asking to be made fun of. Maggie definitely slept with her boss, and I despise Liz.

   early thoughts:

   Angela and Chantal are the worst kind of hipster. Snobby, rude, and trying too hard. Probably in an attempt to forget all the teasing suffered at the hands of the “popular kids” in high school.

   Liz is surprisingly refreshing. Not as neurotic or arrogant as the Brooklyn girls, or as pathetic as Maggie and Amy. Maybe because she has the gallery owner by the balls and comes from money, so she doesn’t actually need this gig and can afford to be honest (literally).

   Kerri, meh. I kind of forgot she was there.

   Claudia is kind of a trainwreck but I think her fears are valid. Hope that business plan was solid, but the meltdown in the supertrailer says otherwise.

   Eli is gross.

   I have been checking in all day waiting for this recap….my question is, rather than steal mary blakemore’s blog title why don’t they call it what it is…..”girls with big legs trying unsuccessfully to camoflage them in black tights”??….just sayin’

   I accidentally bumped into this show and decided to watch, since i’m from the LES. OMG. The Williamsburg girls are EXACTLY the type of girls we old timers can’t stand… The LES has gone through so much change within the last couple of years and these young girls come into our neighborhood with no regard to others and act like they own it and have this entitlement that is disgusting. Chantal is the worse and I so agree with shellshell’s remark you can absolutely tell that her and Angela were picked on and now have decided to be the cool mean hipster chicks, except they are not fooling anyone!

   I am trying to watch this show, but the vocal fry party that is going on makes it difficult. It’s, like, difficult? ’cause, like, if you are, like, distracted? by, like, the voices, you, like, miss all the, like, dramaaaaaaaaaaa.

   Amy Poliakoff is a spoiled piece of work. go to http://www.newsandinsight.thomonreuters.com under Rejected from Sotheby’s artschool student sues…the title and article are a bit misleading ..if you read the article she was thrown out and sued by didn’t win her case…If any of you watch Million Dollar Listing NYC and know little spoiled Mikey..can’t you just see them together?
   As for the Brooklyn girls they are a mess and should stay in Brooklyn. I love this show already!!!

    I agree she would be good with Micheal but only because she has bad taste in men…I mean really who would want to sleep with Eli Klein willingly without having an ulterior motive? Micheal for the most part was just a sad puppy dog that tried too hard to fit in and that’s exactly how Amy is.

    ChickStar I know exactly what you mean about the hipsters trying to move into other areas. Since you’re from the LES you also see how hilarious it is that they are trying to also take over Red Hook. What is even more laughable is almost all of them are transplants!

    Yay, I’m glad someone recapped this! Great work too btw! I didn’t intend to watch this but I left it on and was intrigued enough to watch again. I didn’t expect to like the UES girls better, but man those hipsters are some faux-snobby broken down dolls! You called Angela exactly right too, I’m not even sure why she’s on this show except she auditioned with promises of wild promiscuity.

    So who leaves their house knowing they have 1-a rip or stain on a garment, 2-visible undergarments? Gross.

    Also I am usually the most obtuse person ever but even I picked up on Maggie clearly having had relations with Eli and barely being able to control her hurt. Bad idea to go on this show. For her and for him. I guess they thought they could fake it for the cameras, but one of them is not a good poker player. And the other shouldn’t be allowed to poke anything.

    I like that she handles herself with surprising class, but I can’t quite get behind Liz yet after the “I don’t want to do any work, I’ll just call my daddy if Eli tries to make me do something” attitude. Blech.

    I watched a bit of this….love it!
    A commercial came on for it and I turned to Rodel, “I need you to DVR this.”
    I didn’t even give him a chance to respond.
    “DVR for Mummy…DVR for Mummy…I want, I want, I want!”

    He puts up with so much.

    I love the girls from the LES!! I think they are so hip. I guess I might be in the minority. I feel sorry for Maggie. Eli is just gross. Liz has his d@@k in her purse. And who (Amy) calls her dad while taking a bubble bath? Ewww!!!!!!!

    Eli is a pig. I don’t remember if it was this epi or the second one when he says something along the lines of , “At least you got to meet me.” It had to be an ultimatum that got Maggie into his bed. Ewww.

    Chantal’s voice is sooo annoying. It almost sounds like an affectation cuz maybe she thinks it’s kinda hipper like that.

    Just watched episode 1 this morning– and will watch it again (lol) and get all caught up.

    Big huge whopping pet peeve of mine– the faux-hipster. Its the off-shoot of the Sex and the City girls–we all know them. They walk 4 abreast down any street, avenue or boulevard. Yet they take a step from center– they go with hipster–not a rich girl–I am a such free spirit and interesting– vibe.

    Maggie totally did Eli–hey did we see him recently on RHNYC??? Slightly in the background of one of the parties–may have been the one that $onja’s friend threw.

    Amy may be our train-wreck of the group. Need to know more about Kerri–am a Lawn Gisland too also. Lara-whiner and background noise. Chantal–hhmmmm not sure. I feel like I have seen her on another show. Angela–please shut up. Claudia will be in a hospital by the time the series is over.
    Liz–am not sure about you too. I want to reduce you to “spoiled rich girl” but that apartment in Gramercy. Le sigh……like being in an Edith Wharton novel.
