Oh yeah I am so pumped. Remember way back like three weeks ago when I said I was super psyched for the sexuality episode of GleePro? Because of the inherent awkwardness and problems and stuff? But it turned out to not be that great? Well the episode I was REALLY thinking of was this one! Romanticality (not a real word, but just roll with it).
I had listed some things I wanted to see then. Here’s a reminder of what they were/are.
1- Freak outs over having to portray a homosexual romance on-screen
2- Awkward accidentally groping by Blind Side (NULL AND VOID)
3- Someone having issues with being with Tyler because it’s unclear if he still has lady parts down there (NULL AND VOID)
4- People having no clue how to interact romantically with Wheelchair Barbie
5- The Generic Hotties making out with each other
6- Magic Carpet getting called out for the slut she is (KIND OF NULL NOW THAT CHARLIE’S GONE, BUT NOT REALLY)
So we still have some hope. Here’s an additional one:
7- Someone (Shnnanaaa) not wanting to get too down and dirty because of Jesus (or Allah I guess? Never mind, I forgot it’s Carpet we’re dealing with.)
Alright, let’s hit it!
Generic Cutie wants to beat Blake and knows that it’s tough because there are only two guys left. Good luck buddy, Blake is unflappable to Ryan and the mentors.
Oh lord Lily has a crush on Blake. This is like last season’s Hannah (<3) who had a crush on Damian. Why are the fat girls on this show always so unrealistic?
“More than Words” is the HW song. The original artist for the song will be there as well to play guitar for them. He must really be desperate for gigs.
This week the contenders choose pairs to perform the HW assignment in. 330 It turns out to be Magic Carpet and Lily (Laylin), Generic Cutie and SHannananaa (Mannannnanana), and Wheelchair Barbie and Blake (Blali). Laylin decide to kiss and surprise everyone. Wow, Carpet really will get with anyone.
The special guest mentor is the adorable Darren Criss. I’m not one of those huge Darren Criss fans, but I like him fine. His outfits on the show are kind of a turn-off though.
He says romance is all about vulnerability. We already had that theme! Also, the “More than Words” guy says that Robert lost his virginity to that song?! I kind of always saw Robert as one of those asexual, hermaphroditic creatures that pops out offspring by parthenogenesis or something. I don’t like this new sexual idea of him. I don’t like it at all.
Blake- ok. Better than usual I guess. Meaning slightly above awful. His acting is decent, though. C+
Lily- sounds fine. Scrunchy face though. B
Carpet- her voice works pretty well with Lily’s. That’s the most I can say about her. B-
