Monroe gets awaken late at night after smelling something funny so he starts walking around his house following the scent. He starts to hear growling and then his kitchen door opens. He tackles another creature in his kitchen but it turns out it’s his friend Larry from his Wesen Support Group. Does he not lock his doors or something? That’s how people get robbed you know. Larry tells Monroe that it’s not working and to get out but he doesn’t quite understand as Larry is in a lot of pain. Meanwhile, Nick is woken up late at night by a reporter wanting confirmation of the Bigfoot sightings. He arrives with Hank at the police station while Captain is giving a press conference to a bunch of reporters telling them there is no Bigfoot.

Is that bacon I smell?
Monroe calls Nick because Larry cannot go to the hospital because she’s stuck in his Wesen formation. Sgt. Wu tells Nick and Hank that the dogs have found a wallet and they now have an ID on the suspect that may have killed the kids. Hank splits to check with the dog search team while Nick goes to see Monroe who may have Bigfoot dying on his couch. Juliette gives a call to a friend about using his equiptment to test the hair samples she found. Apparently Juliette is not only a veterinarian and detective but she is also a forensic scientist. No wonder why Nick keeps her around with her many talents!

I have to know…does the carpet match the drapes?
Nick arrives at Monroe’s house to see Bigfoot laying on the couch as Monroe attends to his wounds. Monroe introduces Larry and says that he is a Wildermann which are loners who like to be left alone in nature. Monroe explains that anyone can see Larry in his present condition and that he appears to be stuck in his transformation. They apparently “vulga” which translates to the wave that overtakes everything and it is a hormone surge that causes them to transform. Nick tells Monroe that he killed two people last night but Monroe defends him saying he’s a good guy and it doesn’t make sense that he would kill anyone. He says they met in a support group and that Larry was recently seeing a psychiatrist who was helping him control his inner demons.

Hi Hank!
Monroe picks up another scent and realizes that search dogs are outside about to locate Larry in his home. He tells Nick that he marks his scent which is throwing the dogs off and making Nick uncomfortable. Can you imagine Monroe peeing on everything LOL? Monroe tells Nick that he has to lead them away because legends end up killing people and he doesn’t want his house torched if they find Larry inside. Monroe decides to take Larry’s shirt and draw the dogs away from his home by sprinting through the woods. The dogs close in on him and he is left with no choice but to transform to scare the dogs away which Hank hears. Monroe follows the dogs as they run back towards the cops and away from Monroe. He ends up running smack into Hank who can only make out the red flannel shirt and wolf like appearance. Hank doesn’t know what to make of what he has seen or if it was all in his head from being knocked down.

Hank gets a little too close to Monroe.
Monroe finally returns home and tells Nick that Hank saw him in his transformed state. Monroe explains that they can be seen when they want to be seen and he had to transform to scare the dogs away. He didn’t “log out” in time and Hank saw him though he also saw him in the red shirt. Larry wakes up screaming and clawing at his neck. He rips out a device and says that he didn’t want to or mean to and that he tried. Larry dies and Monroe is worried about what they should do and Nick suggests moving the body so Monroe is not tied to the incident. Hank calls and he tells Nick that something strange happened to him in the woods and that he was hit by something strange that was moving fast.

Finally he’s getting it…
If you like it, spread it!:

Great recap, really funny. I loved this episode, even though it brings up more questions than it answers. Looking forward to the finale, but sad that I’ll be going thru withdrawal over the summer.
I like and hate this show more with every episode…
Haven’t watched the season finale yet, but if there is no disclosure to either Juliette or Hank, I may have to bail. As I said before, it’s becoming a little too “Gilligan’s Island-y” for me.
