Grimm Recap: Over My Dead Body

Don’t shoot. She brought chicken nuggets.

This is NOT the night to fk with me.

Hmmm… I’m starting to remember my wild days of yore… when I bought her nuggets.

Monroe gets a call from Rosalee and she (conveniently) has been called out of town due to a sick relative. They both say they’re sorry, but end on a good note and now Monroe is supposed to watch her shop (assuming he’s alive).

Woo, Monroe. I’m sorry, but the elves aren’t making the toys fast enough.

Meanwhile, in another room, Angelina is giving Nick what details she has about the hit on Monroe. She tells him about how she killed the Skalengeck because he was trying to rape her, and Nick is all “oh, so you killed another person, great.” She says that because she killed the Skalengeck, she had to do his dirty work and kill Monroe.

Monroe is dropped off at Hank’s house for his protection and I totally love this scene because Hank gets a lot of his Wesen questions answered. Monroe is kind enough to morph into a Blutbad and explain to Hank why sometimes he can see the Wesen, but not always. Hank pushes it a little too far and wants to see it again and Monroe gives him the “I’m not a party trick” look, and they go about drinking. It’s so awesome to see Hank in on the secret. It’s not as awesome that Sgt. Wu has yet to appear.

 More white people problems.

 I don’t see anything…

 And now?

Oh snap. Now I remember why I went crazy.

Easy now… It’s just me. (Where’d my bow tie go?)

Nick and Angelina are heading over to The End Up Bar parking lot to help the cops there with the investigation of the dead dude in the parking lot. (This can’t be proper protocol, but it’s Portland. Whatevs.) Turns out that he was a serial rapist and no one was really mourning his death. Angelina is pretending to be Nick’s partner and oddly she’s able to recreate the entire murder (because she committed it) and they find his wallet and there you have. Crime solved.

In case of emergency, please remain seated.

The exits are located to the front and to the rear. (Rear, haha… rear)

I’m always up for nuggets. When I babysit for my friend, she pays me with a rotisserie chicken. I wish it was a lie, but it’s not. and I wish it didn’t make me so happy, but it does.

Great recap, as always!!! Episode was just okay . . . I’m glad Hank is in the know. I don’t really care about J and her memories, but I suspect this happened when she got kissed, and she might only love the one who gave her the kiss, which is why she’s got nothing for Nick. (he is rather wooden, does he give anyone any kind of, you know . . . not me!)

@juddfan… I agree with Nick being a bit, shall we say, stiff… I think he’s cute… Or as a friend says, he’s almost “pretty”. But he doesn’t have alot of passion or give off much emotion. Maybe it’s supposed to be a Grimm thing. Or maybe it’s bc Juliette is dull off camera too and he’s losing his will to live. I’m glad you find him a bit wooden, bc I feel like I find too much wrong with everyone. But that’s really nothing new (and the reason I have 2 friends).

Thanks for the fun recap! I actually think Nick has gotten better this year, to be honest. Yeah, he was stiff to begin with and still needs work, but I think he’s getting there. What I think is too bad, is killing off that wolf chick. I actually think Nick had more chemistry with Angelina in this one episode then he has had with Juliette for the entire series so far. Maybe he just needs a stronger female character to um, how can I say this? Un-stiff him completely.

@cat, agreed, it’s sad to me they keep getting rid of all the bad ass chicks in this show!

@madelyne27 . . . it’s odd to me when someone is so physically good looking, and yet so un charismatic . . . he totally reads like wood, and I can’t put my finger on why . . .

Why was she cooking chicken in that volcano thing? What is that? She should just get a rotisserie oven so she can set it and forget it.

And have you ever noticed that Renard never has anything on his desk? He has the cleanest desk ever.
