Grimm Recap: The Good Shepherd, B-a-a-a-a-d Sheep

Damn, Nick is a good artist too.

As he leaves, he is attached by David and a big fight ensues… I’m not sure how it all happens, because they are outside, then under the trailer, then around the trailer, and then inside the trailer. And at the VERY beginning of the fight, David CLEARLY shatters the window of the trailer, yet when they are fighting inside of it, the window is not broken. And if it were broken, how do you get it fixed? “Um, yeah, I need this window replaced, but you can’t go inside the trailer, and I’d rather you not even look inside. So if you could just blindfold yourself while you fix it that would be great.”

Grimm vs. Nuckelavee

Anyway, Nick wins and kills David and as he morphs from jackass to Belky, Nick finds the drawing of the pliers, I mean the keys.

Nuckelavee down!

Hmmm. He’s looking for pliers. Interesting.

(Spoiler Alert… Nick must drag him to the river, because later in the show, Sgt. Wu talks of finding this guy in the river. I could never drag a body. I’m really weak and don’t have a lot of stamina. I would have just left him in the trailer and ask the window repairman to get rid of the dead body when he was done.)

Nick and Juliette have a scene about one of them moving out. But they decide not to. I consider becoming a cutter so I can feel again.

Do you want me to move out? YES.

Do you want ME to move out? Yes, if you don’t grow a pair.

The church congregation is having a bake sale to recoup the $350,000, but I agree with Donny Downer that it’s going to take a lot of bake sales to make that money back.

We raised $12 so far. Only $349,988 to go.

A young couple at the sale are having a fight about what to name her soon to be born child and the guy tells her he doesn’t give a crap what she names the baby. She cries. (A man would say it’s because she’s hormonal… a woman will say it’s because she’s not sure who the baby daddy is.)

I’ll see you on the Maury show for some DNA tests.

Oh wait, she’s inside and Megan comes to comfort her, and the pregnant girl says that the baby is actually the Reverend’s child. Megan goes for 0 to insane in about 2 seconds.

It's never too soon. It's never too far. And it's never the wrong time.

So the baby will be half sheep and half wolf. Will it be a vege or a carnivore?
Sheep look cute when they’re babies but the males become vicious monsters who head butt people (well me) unexpectedly when they are not paying attention. I fully believe if provoked a herd of sheep would attack a wolf.
I agree Juliet needs to go. She has no manners. Of course she should have told Nick she was going out. Even if they are only housemates at the moment it is only courtesy to let him know.

The umbrella plot is frustrating me with its vagueness. Shouldn’t we be moving beyond the dark hint stage with Renard? I feel like the writers keep giving themselves chances to tweak it. What was the point of having Adalinde lose her powers if she’s just going to get them back next episode?
Re killing off a main character: If it is Juliette, it should have happened at the end of last season when it would have had some semblance of shock value. I really want to like this show, and I keep hanging in there, but I wish it would make up its mind about where it’s going.

One more question: What happened to Renard having to become “pure” to kiss Juliette? Was that just a temporary thing? If so, that was quite a lot of time wasted!

@bluedog, if Juliette should have told nick she was going out… As a courtesy, then nick may have wanted to mention that he’s some sort of mythical being with magic powers that might bring great harm to the house. But either way, I think she should go out. For good. Also, I’m sorry about your sheep experience, I had a similar issue with an angry goose when I was younger.

@maryedith, totally agree that the master plot is plodding along, if not forgotten at times. Maybe the writers are trying to figure out how to keep us watching… But there are alot of discrepancies. But as for Renard becoming pure… Let’s just remember, it did allow us to see #shirtlessrage. And for that alone, I am happy. They are saying Monroe’s ex is coming back too… Why can’t hank get a girl?

Oh well, it’s a pretty good show. Not the best. Not the worst… And I do love the special effects.

    Thanks for reading.
