Grimm Recap: The Hour of Power or More Wu, Less Juliette

Please hold, there’s a TV on in another room in my house and now I’m scared I’m being robbed (by someone who decided to watch TV). Good news. I’m safe. Hubby left TV on… but he made the bed, so it’s a fair shake. (The TV in my bedroom is broken, and if you turn it off it can take like 30 minutes to turn back on, so I have a rule that it must NEVER be turned off… only muted… during my absence from bed. Which isn’t often.)

Okay, so back to the kidnapper. It sounds like they have a “buyer” for the girl they kidnapped and he’s looking forward (read, DROOLING) to getting his merchandise.

While he finishes up his call, he gets a knock on the door. It’s Nick and Hank. They show him a picture of the black girl and ask if he’s seen her or knows her. He says he doesn’t. Hank says that they are just interviewing everyone that works in the same building that she works in, but he says he doesn’t know her. While Hank finishes up the questions, Nick sees the remnants of a burning photo and hollers out that he’s burning pictures of her. The guy woges and runs. Not just out of fear of the cops seeing the pictures, but also because he sees that Nick is a Grimm and it completely freaks him out. Nick chases him out of the house and through the yard and tackles him. Then he punches him in the face and the guy woges back to normal. (We will learn that he is a Schkal.) Hank, who apparently is a VERY slow runner, shows up and asks if he’s a Wesen and Nick says that he is… origins unknown. They arrest him and take him to the station.

I’m looking for a man to kill my girlfriend.

You came to the right place.

Did you really ask him to kill me?      No, my OTHER girlfriend.

Back at the halls of justice, Nick and Hank interrogate Adrian, but without the pictures, they don’t really have any evidence. And since Hank didn’t see the pictures, they really only have Nick’s word. They have to release Adrian, but as he is leaving, Nick gives him a stern Grimm warning that it’s one thing to lie to a cop, but another thing to lie to a Grimm. Adrian goes batsht crazy and starts yelling that Nick is trying to kill him. No one in the precinct is impressed with his theatrics, and he is sent on his way.

I’ll kill Juliette for free. She sucks.

I punched myself just thinking about Juliette.

It's never too soon. It's never too far. And it's never the wrong time.

This was such a great episode. The intern question I had last week was solved, although they really should’ve stretched it out because the idea that someone would pose as a Grimm was excellent.

All this time I’ve defended the Juliette character, but this time I was incredibly annoyed with her. The opening scene was ridiculous. No one with a brain and/or any kindness would wake up a police officer like that. They work crazy awful hours and need their sleep (I was married to a detective). She was sooooo rude about it and then HE’s apologizing at the end. WTF? I wanted to reach through my screen and choke her!

Anyway I’m curious to see how this Renard obsession will end. Excellent recap, as always!

I totally agree about stretching out the intern role. But they had to go somewhere.

    Juliette is a whore-cow-bitch. It’s a word. Just don’t look it up.

She was awful this week but so was Renard. I know he’s under a spell, but with his pecs I’d hope he’d have more self control.

It was def a fav episode for me. Monroe, Nick, Bud, and Hank all had great roles. Just wish Juliette’s role contained a stabbing.

I know that Bitsie Tulloch has a contract that will probably cover her through this season, but PLEASE have her death be the season finale cliff hanger. Juliette must DIE !!!!

I gotta come back to read this, but I thought I’d flip through and look at your pics and captions!!! You are incredibly clever, I’m amazed at how you strung all that together!!! Can’t wait to read the whole thing!

Bitsie is an itsy bit annoying. I’m going to look her up on IMDB and make myself watch her in something else so that I can decide if I dislike her. Or just her character. Bc I have a feeling it’s her. There’s something I just don’t like about her.

But hey. I’m sitting in the Bahamas as I type this. I can’t believe I flew out of the country to watch Law and Order reruns from a different bed.

Thanks for reading and commenting. I love knowing what other people think of the show.

I am glad I’m not the only one annoyed by Juliette. She’s particularly sour & annoying this season. I hope the writers kill her character at the season finale!
