Grimm Recap: The Hour of Power or More Wu, Less Juliette

Ah yes… we’ve found the perfect car to abduct Juliette.

Sorry. Just another great shot of Wu-action.

You can’t make me entice Juliette into my car.

Oh great… it’s coffee time with Renard and Juliette. Renard is waiting at a table in the world’s most awkward looking coffee house when Juliette arrives, taking off her sunglasses like she’s something important. They sit and chat and Juliette flubs up and says she’s “just starting over with you”… when she meant to say “just starting over with him”… referring to Nick. I don’t see an Academy Award in her future. Or Renard’s future either if he doesn’t man up and go back to more #shirtlessrage and less #wimpy. Juliette says she has to go (she’s been there like 2 minutes… great planning. Idiot!) She leaves her sunglasses and Renard takes them.

 A btch walks into a coffee shop…

…and her date says “wow, I must be drunk”.

Don’t judge me because I’m lame, judge me because I’m an idiot.

You’re not lame nor are you an idiot.

You’re simply annoying and disposable.

Richard is being interrogated while his van is being searched. He’s the dumbest kidnapper ever seeing as he left her purse and ID in the back of the van. He’s very worried that Nick is going to kill him and less worried that he’s buried himself in evidence. Nick and Hank go down to meet with a forensic tech and when they come back, Office Franco (that’s the old white dude that is always bringing Renard files), says that it’s a shame they had to let Richard go. Nick and Hank are like “huh? We have him balls to the walls.” But Franco says that Richard is gone. They show the empty interrogation room (like I didn’t believe Franco).

Why didn’t you abduct Juliette like we asked?

He did take her purse, but it was so cheap he let her go.

Franco, get me the file on Juliette’s personality.    Sorry, it’s empty.

Portland SWAT and Nick and Hank hightail it to Richard’s house, but of course, he’s already dead. He’s sitting in a chair with the same branding on his body that Adrian had on his. Nick gets a call from the Endezeichen Grimm telling him that he failed again by not killing Richard as soon as he knew he was a Wesen.

It's never too soon. It's never too far. And it's never the wrong time.

This was such a great episode. The intern question I had last week was solved, although they really should’ve stretched it out because the idea that someone would pose as a Grimm was excellent.

All this time I’ve defended the Juliette character, but this time I was incredibly annoyed with her. The opening scene was ridiculous. No one with a brain and/or any kindness would wake up a police officer like that. They work crazy awful hours and need their sleep (I was married to a detective). She was sooooo rude about it and then HE’s apologizing at the end. WTF? I wanted to reach through my screen and choke her!

Anyway I’m curious to see how this Renard obsession will end. Excellent recap, as always!

I totally agree about stretching out the intern role. But they had to go somewhere.

    Juliette is a whore-cow-bitch. It’s a word. Just don’t look it up.

She was awful this week but so was Renard. I know he’s under a spell, but with his pecs I’d hope he’d have more self control.

It was def a fav episode for me. Monroe, Nick, Bud, and Hank all had great roles. Just wish Juliette’s role contained a stabbing.

I know that Bitsie Tulloch has a contract that will probably cover her through this season, but PLEASE have her death be the season finale cliff hanger. Juliette must DIE !!!!

I gotta come back to read this, but I thought I’d flip through and look at your pics and captions!!! You are incredibly clever, I’m amazed at how you strung all that together!!! Can’t wait to read the whole thing!

Bitsie is an itsy bit annoying. I’m going to look her up on IMDB and make myself watch her in something else so that I can decide if I dislike her. Or just her character. Bc I have a feeling it’s her. There’s something I just don’t like about her.

But hey. I’m sitting in the Bahamas as I type this. I can’t believe I flew out of the country to watch Law and Order reruns from a different bed.

Thanks for reading and commenting. I love knowing what other people think of the show.

I am glad I’m not the only one annoyed by Juliette. She’s particularly sour & annoying this season. I hope the writers kill her character at the season finale!
