Grimm Recap: The Hour of Power or More Wu, Less Juliette

Juliette? Scream if you’re dead.     Kill yourself if you’re not.

I’m not Juliette, but I did die of boredom.

At the station, Intern Ryan, is escorting Bud to see Nick. Bud is a mess. He tells Nick that all of his Wesen friends are worried that Nick is the person responsible for the tortures because Nick is the only Grimm they know of in town. Bud explains to Nick that he’s got his back and is trying to assure his friends that Nick is cool beans, but that Nick needs to hurry up and solve this… quickly.

Look, I’m a Wesen mouse, and even I want her gone.

Wu has pulled the security footage from the interrogation room and all that can be seen, at first, is that someone walks by and opens the door and Richard leaves. BUT, Wu being the genius of everything that he is, tells Nick and Hank to watch the reflection in the door when it opens… and guess who it is? GUESS… it’s Intern Ryan… he let Richard out. We KNEW he must have had a bigger role in this.

 I have a plan a-Wuing..

We’ll set her up with the intern. He needs to take one for the team.

YES! Make the intern date her.

They all head out looking for Ryan, but Franco tells him that last he saw Ryan was when he was following Bud out to his truck. Ryan did catch up to Bud and approaches him and then stabs a syringe into Bud’s neck. Poor Bud.

Nick and Hank head to Ryan’s house and find his mother and her hoard of alcohol and cigarettes in a giant mess of a house. She said that Ryan wasn’t there and that he was planning to move out because he “didn’t like who he was”. They go into Ryan’s bedroom and see that he has a Wall of Nick… stalker style…

I’m not a drunk, I just couldn’t stand seeing Juliette on the show any longer.

See Nick, you’re so much more better on your own.

Nick calls Bud’s wife and learns that Bud hadn’t made it home, so they headed to the local AC shop. Ryan has Bud strung up to the ceiling and is wearing a WalMart looking Batman costume. He’s about to start branding Bud when Nick and Hank burst in. Hank stays with Bud, while Nick chases after Ryan. It’s the same song and dance. Wesen woges and runs. Nicks runs faster. Wesen fights. Nick fights harder. Wesen falls. Nick punches him in the face.

It's never too soon. It's never too far. And it's never the wrong time.

This was such a great episode. The intern question I had last week was solved, although they really should’ve stretched it out because the idea that someone would pose as a Grimm was excellent.

All this time I’ve defended the Juliette character, but this time I was incredibly annoyed with her. The opening scene was ridiculous. No one with a brain and/or any kindness would wake up a police officer like that. They work crazy awful hours and need their sleep (I was married to a detective). She was sooooo rude about it and then HE’s apologizing at the end. WTF? I wanted to reach through my screen and choke her!

Anyway I’m curious to see how this Renard obsession will end. Excellent recap, as always!

I totally agree about stretching out the intern role. But they had to go somewhere.

    Juliette is a whore-cow-bitch. It’s a word. Just don’t look it up.

She was awful this week but so was Renard. I know he’s under a spell, but with his pecs I’d hope he’d have more self control.

It was def a fav episode for me. Monroe, Nick, Bud, and Hank all had great roles. Just wish Juliette’s role contained a stabbing.

I know that Bitsie Tulloch has a contract that will probably cover her through this season, but PLEASE have her death be the season finale cliff hanger. Juliette must DIE !!!!

I gotta come back to read this, but I thought I’d flip through and look at your pics and captions!!! You are incredibly clever, I’m amazed at how you strung all that together!!! Can’t wait to read the whole thing!

Bitsie is an itsy bit annoying. I’m going to look her up on IMDB and make myself watch her in something else so that I can decide if I dislike her. Or just her character. Bc I have a feeling it’s her. There’s something I just don’t like about her.

But hey. I’m sitting in the Bahamas as I type this. I can’t believe I flew out of the country to watch Law and Order reruns from a different bed.

Thanks for reading and commenting. I love knowing what other people think of the show.

I am glad I’m not the only one annoyed by Juliette. She’s particularly sour & annoying this season. I hope the writers kill her character at the season finale!
