Grimm Recap: The Hour of Power or More Wu, Less Juliette

I may be an intern… but I’m Bat-tern… and I date no fool.

Woe is me. She’ll never be written out of the show.

Oh yes she will. I will suck the life out of her.

Turns out that Ryan wasn’t a Endezeichen Grimm at all. He was actually a Lebensauger. (German translation “live sucker”.) I guess it’s pretty low on the Wesen totem pole… and it is one ugly looking beast. Ryan hates being a Lebensauger so much that he begs Nick to kill him, but Nick won’t. He just arrests him.

Bud is so relieved to be untortured that he hugs Hank and Nick before he leaves. Hank looks like he needed the hug too. Bud rocks.

 Thanks for trying, Hank.

 Thanks for trying, Nick.

And now for the scene that I almost refused to recap. Renard shows up at Juliette’s door to return her sunglasses. They make stupid faces at each other and then Renard leans in and kisses her. And she kisses him back. They pull away and she says “It was you. At the hospital.” And then they kiss again. Then she pushes him out of the door and closes it. Renard stands on the porch and looks lost. Juliette slides down the inside of the front door like a rape victim taking a shower.

 DO NOT ANSWER THE DOOR.

Would you care for a dance, me lady?

WAIT. WHAT? UGH. STABBING EYES OUT.

You’re even more boring close up.

I kissed a bore and I liked it… (sang no one ever).

Phew, I made it through another episode.

UGH! But great episode, nevertheless. Loved Wu’s closing comment: “Next time we hire an intern, I’m gonna suggest we do a better psych evaluation.”

Feel free to read past recaps, help plot Juliette’s demise, and discuss this week’s episode below.

This was such a great episode. The intern question I had last week was solved, although they really should’ve stretched it out because the idea that someone would pose as a Grimm was excellent.

All this time I’ve defended the Juliette character, but this time I was incredibly annoyed with her. The opening scene was ridiculous. No one with a brain and/or any kindness would wake up a police officer like that. They work crazy awful hours and need their sleep (I was married to a detective). She was sooooo rude about it and then HE’s apologizing at the end. WTF? I wanted to reach through my screen and choke her!

Anyway I’m curious to see how this Renard obsession will end. Excellent recap, as always!

I totally agree about stretching out the intern role. But they had to go somewhere.

    Juliette is a whore-cow-bitch. It’s a word. Just don’t look it up.

She was awful this week but so was Renard. I know he’s under a spell, but with his pecs I’d hope he’d have more self control.

It was def a fav episode for me. Monroe, Nick, Bud, and Hank all had great roles. Just wish Juliette’s role contained a stabbing.

I know that Bitsie Tulloch has a contract that will probably cover her through this season, but PLEASE have her death be the season finale cliff hanger. Juliette must DIE !!!!

Bitsie is an itsy bit annoying. I’m going to look her up on IMDB and make myself watch her in something else so that I can decide if I dislike her. Or just her character. Bc I have a feeling it’s her. There’s something I just don’t like about her.

But hey. I’m sitting in the Bahamas as I type this. I can’t believe I flew out of the country to watch Law and Order reruns from a different bed.

Thanks for reading and commenting. I love knowing what other people think of the show.

I am glad I’m not the only one annoyed by Juliette. She’s particularly sour & annoying this season. I hope the writers kill her character at the season finale!
