Grimm Recap: The Other Side or Turtle Time

I’m not v familiar with this part of a stadium.

Ahhh… under the bleachers… here’s something I can relate to.

Nick and Hank arrive at the stadium to investigate. (Who found her? Did I miss something?) They recognize her and realize that she has the same injury as Brandon. Nick finds a broken watch in her hand and it has an inscription on the back that leads them back to Pierce.

Bullying is never okay. Unless it’s funny. Then it’s mandatory.

“I’ll only love you if you’re really smart. — Love, Mom.”

Pierce is outside playing basketball and Nick and Hank ask him a few questions until his overprotective mother comes outside. Once they hear that the detectives found his watch on a dead Jenny, they woge into Genio Innocuos. They are terrified of Nick’s Wesenness and make a hasty retreat. Hank waits patiently to be filled in on the deets.

 It’s Turtle Time, y’all.

Things are about to get wild… just very slowly.

Pierce is laying down with his body pillow/girlfriend, when his mom brings him some hot chocolate. As he tries to drink it (while laying down) he spills some on the pillow, so he takes the case off of it and heads to the laundry room. (Three things my daughter would never do… drink while laying down, remove a pillow case, and do laundry.) When he opens the running machine, he sees blood on the turny part (technical term) and the water is red. His mom walks in and quickly escorts him away from the bloody clothes.

I wish you were a real girl, Pillow-Girl.

How about a little drink to loosen you up?

Oh silly Pillow-Girl, did you spill on your dress?

Let’s just slip you out of this. There you go.

At the Grimmobile, Nick and Hank are researching Genio Innocuo . Nick’s book describes them as “intelligent, compassionate, and thoroughly non-violent, which made dispatching them quite easy”. Apparently Grimms killed off a bunch of Genio Innocuos back in the day. Nice one, Nick.  After a short chat, they decide that since Pierce is incapable of killing, the coach is still their best suspect. (It’s sad how quickly Nick has ditched Monroe… he used to need him on every case, but now that Hank is in on it, he has no time for Monroe.)

Your captions are great, but Wu really outdid yourself with the pillow/girlfriend ones! Per usual, wonderful recap!

Thanks guys… I’m kinda laughing bc for some reason when I did the screen shot it captured him making goggly (googly?) eyes at his pillow… so I had to go back a couple times to get the whole “love scene”… Glad to know my efforts made at least one other person laugh.

And I tweeted Reggie Lee (Sgt. Wu) a couple pics I photoshopped of him and Renard and he responded. He always retweets the recaps, so of course my obsession grows deeper. Although there’s a good chance I’m a foot taller than he is.

Reggie Lee (Wu) is listed as 5’6″. Sasha Roiz (Renard) is 6’4″. (Yes, he is one tall dude.)

I laughed so hard about the pillow girlfriend. Did anyone else crack up at the Genio Inocuos being from Galapagos? And Hank going “Your ancestor must have gone there w/ Darwin!” Of course they did.

I love Renard and James Frey (actor playing his brother). Sexiest family ever! They should have a shirtless wrestling battle for the throne. Mmmm.

Your recaps are always so funny.
    Thanks for being awesome.

And if I were Monroe (he is to me what Wu is to you), I would be happy that Nick isn’t always calling anymore. Now he can spend his time on the phone with Rosalee and reading about old stuff. Instead of gallivanting about town, risking his life for pretty much no reason.

I like monroe too, but i kinda feel like rosalee makes him boring… i liked all his “aloneness” and hobbies… but we’ll see…

Yes, the Renard’s are a v good-looking family. Half brothers or not… they just have the attitude. Wu just has that puppy dog quality… he’s so eager to help and be part of the big boys club and i just love him for it… plus he rolls his eyes and that always cracks me up.

i’m glad you enjoy the show and the recaps. it really does mean alot to me to think someone reads what i write and actually finds it amusing (unlike my fb friends who just block me after a certain point).
