Kimmie knows she’s going to be eating shit on this one. It was her big Southern challenge, and after everyone laying eggplant and garlic and all that on Clemenza all season, no one’s surprised that Kimmie will be taking the majority of the heat. No one wins, and each team has to nominate a single person for elimination. I’m calling Kimmie and Robyn down front, but you know both of them will argue for Barbie and Brian, respectively.
Right away, Clemenza starts in on Robyn’s chicken, and sure enough, she tells him to shut the fuck up: she may have sent up raw chicken, but she didn’t get kicked out of the kitchen—Brian did. Does it not count as getting kicked out if the whole team goes with you, Robyn? And over on Red, Christina immediately throws Kimmie’s name in as an option, and Kimmie immediately votes for Barbie. Damn, I am a fucking prophet with this show. Dana wants Kimmie to stay, but knows they’ll be deadlocked if she votes for Barbie to go.
So I guess she eventually decides, because they end up putting Kimmie up because of her fish. The Blue team sends up Robyn, based on the chicken. She had to know it was going that way, but she somehow looks surprised and completely betrayed. She tells Gordon she’s not ready to leave, and that the chicken fucked her. Gordon says the chicken didn’t fuck her, she fucked the chicken. I did not make up a word of that exchange, in case you were wondering—that was an actual conversation.
Then he starts in on Kimmie’s Southern thing, and she admits she lost control of it, but has never been up for elimination and doesn’t think she deserves to go home based on one service. Then Gordon asks her if she thinks she’s better than Robyn. Gordon loves to turn friends against each other. I say be honest, Kimmie, because one of you is leaving anyway. Plus, I think that whatever problem you have with either of their personalities—and let’s face it, there are plenty of issues on both sides—Kimmie has proven to be far and away a much stronger competitor. And she thinks so, too—she flat out says she can cook better and has more drive, passion, and fight. Robyn just gives her the sideways glare of death, then says the same things in her own favor when Gordon reverses the question.
Gordon says this is the hardest decision ever. I don’t see how. He calls Robyn’s name…then sends her back in line. Whaaaaa? Kimmie is sent home. Over Robyn? Gordon, they both bring the white trash—in fact, Kimmie is at the top when it comes to drama, so seriously? I’d have sent Kimmie home if she’d been up against literally any of the other contestants (it’d be a draw with Clemenza), but not Robyn. Robyn has overstayed her welcome by several episodes now. She really should’ve gone home somewhere around the time when…oh, say….PATRICK was eliminated. No, I haven’t let that one go, but thanks for wondering.
At least she wasn’t accused of fucking the catfish.
