Dave announces that the first challenge will be creating pieces on tattoo virgins which are always fun because they have a lot of skin to work with but difficult because you don’t know how they will handle the pain. Jesse picks his canvas after asking all of them what they want done and then even Dave chants that he isn’t there for friends but there to win. The artist will have 6 hours to complete the challenge and Oliver says they will be picky while Chris reiterates that some first timers are very sensitive. Tattoos start and Crybaby says that his tattoo sucks and his client starts cringing in his chair but Clint tells him he needs to earn it. Sebastian says he isn’t one to be underestimated while Cee Jay starts off rough by spelling her shit wrong.

Mark observes her work and tells her she is doing good but interviews that he is giving her a false sense of security…you dick at least for the client tell her that shit was spelt wrong. Sarah’s client looks like he wants to pass out and what the fuck is she wearing? I really can’t get over how creeped out I am by her. Busta thinks his piece has balls but Chris interviews that his piece shows he isn’t proficient and is struggling in the contest. TJ tells his client that tats hurt and that is why he doesn’t have many himself and that many virgins don’t understand that as his client confesses he is rethinking all the ones he originally wanted done. Time winds down and Cee Jay actually confesses that she fucked up to her client…wow way to make her feel confident about what is permanently on her back.

Gonna do something different this season with the Elimination Challenge tattoos. Since they want viewers to vote I’m going to just give you the link so you can cast your own vote for who you think did the best job. Here’s where you vote. Just make sure you come back and let us all know who you voted on. I’ll throw the picture up of the eliminated tattoo and the one the judges voted on. Cee Jay and Kay were on the bottom with Cee Jay going home because she spelt Corinthians wrong which took them like forever to figure out. The best part is that Cee Jay says the majority of her business is cover ups and that she could easily fix it with lots of whites and oaks…Yeaaaa I saw your website and I don’t think you are that good at covering up tattoos. Chris even tells her that what she is saying is bullshit and if she really could cover up then she should work in a plastic surgery office and make a lot of money. Cee Jay says that if she weren’t a fighter she would reconsider tattooing in general and that she has really embarrassed herself and practically ruined her career. Don’t worry Cee Jay, not everyone watches this show so you should be relatively okay.

    Aw am I the only one who thought Shane deserved to win last season? I guess I am.
    Yay for the Beav! I missed that little guy and his toothpicks. And thank god for Chris Nunez amiright??? He’s so gorg I sometimes forget to actually listen when he talks…

    Oh, yeah, the tattoos were fine. Nothing really stood out to me tbh, and I don’t really have a fave yet. I thought the girl deserved to go because I seriously cannot believe she misspelled that tattoo, but I really don’t like Kay.

    @VGirl, no no no. You were/are not alone with thinking Shane deserved to win. I was disappointed.

    I got seriously hooked on last season and geeked out when the season 2 started and gave us two episodes! I think Shane and Tommy were the best two last season and although I wished Tommy won, Shane was fantatic. I LOVE how Chris and Oliver are so not sugar coating their opinions. The egos in the room are so high it’s like they deliberately aim to knock them down a few peggs from the start. And in general nobody ever gets a “great” without some form of critique.

    Mike’s snake and dagger looks amateurish to me. I really wonder how they cast this show. They are claiming the *best* tattoo artists in the business…uh, no. Not even close. I didn’t understand why Cee Jay didn’t take one minute to wipe the ink off of her face. And I find misspellings on tattoos pretty funny! *facepalm* But I’m a bit of a spelling/grammar geek.

    Nope, not the only one – I could have easily lived with Tommy winning (and can’t wait for his new show!) – but Hubby Butterfly and I were totally Team Shane! :D

    SO glad Cee Jay left, and my guess is that she didn’t have time to clean up her face – or they (the producers) wouldn’t let her leave the room to do so. Either way, made for a good 10 minutes of Hubby Butterfly and I mocking her. TEE HEE HEE!

    SO GLAD INK MASTERS IS BACK! (Great recap, btw!)

    I also can’t wait for Tommy’s new show!

    YAYYY Ink Master is back!!! I’d have to say (for now) Ron is my favorite. I’m not totally into his kind of style (new school / cartoony) but his gallery on spike.com has some awesome work and color, especially his portraits.

    I’m so excited Ink Masters is back, and I’m happy that you’re recapping it again, SG.
    I missed my little Oliver’s flowing locks and Chris’s bitchy opinions. I even missed Dave.
    lol, remember Best Ink? Ahahahahahah omgg. Cee Jay would win Best Ink LOL.

    Speaking of which, the gratuitous shots of CJ (I will indulge her bullshit no longer) standing there with black ink splattered all over her face brought me to tears. Every time I would start to be calm, the camera would swing back to her and I’d start up hollering all over again. I wonder if the cameramen were laughing too. She’s so dumb. I’m pretty sure you do not open a pan of ink that way.
    And who the fuck spells Corinthians like Cortnthians? Who does that?! And when she was tattooing it, didn’t she notice? I hope the canvas got that thing fixed someway, somehow.

    Kay Kutta is so annoying. He and Clint need to be locked in a barrel with some rabid wolverines and sent over Niagara Falls.

    And I also was creeped out by Sarah. The way she was talking and the look in her face when she was screaming into the camera about BEING THE BEST freaked me out. It’s a shame that she’s not a horrible tattooer, because she might actually be around for a little bit.

    I voted for Sebastian as my favorite tattoo this week. Steve’s was really good and was more creative, so it deserved to win, but I just love the color and cleanliness of Sebastian’s. Like, that’s the kind of tattoo that would make me surreptitiously follow someone just to get a better look at. And I just like Sebastian as a person…he seems like he knows how to tattoo, and I like his quiet confidence.

    I’m really fond of Jesse too. And I like Jamie’s face.

    It’s pretty cool that they let you vote on the tattoos now. I wonder if this is something they were planning anyway, or if it’s because so many people were upset that Tommy got robbed last year.
    But do the votes affect the show at all, or is it just for fun?

    Tommy is part of a show airing after Ink Master about cover-ups I think? But good god yes more Tommy is welcomed. Jamie too until he death stared into the camera during the morgue challenge. Freaked me out.

    Best Ink…if it comes back depending on my schedule I would consider it but omg what a mess. I was so glad when it ended. Ill post more Oliver this week!

    Yay! Finally Ink Masters is back!

    I liked Steve’s winning tattoo, but his hair drives me crazy. Is it a bad toupee? Bad haircut? I don’t know but I can’t stand it.

    And yes, Sarah is really creepy. She’s like super intense in her talking heads, and it’s like “dude, chill. you made it. you’re on the tv show, so calm down!”
