As they get ready to leave the restaurant, Snooki groans, “My water broke,” and then says she has to poop. It’s good to see that even though she’s pregnant and can’t get crazy drunk, she still adds such a tone of refinement and class to every situation. As the girls walk down the boardwalk, Deena and Jenni talk about rides they want to go on. “Or we could go shopping,” suggests Snooki, who can’t go on any rides due to her delicate condition. Sammi says that she’ll go shopping with Snooki. The girls split up, and Snooki and Sammi hit the shops. “I look fat,” Snooki complains as she tries on clothes. “It’s cos you’re pregnant,” Sammi helpfully reminds her. And Snooki really doesn’t look fat at all, her face doesn’t have that rounded pregnancy look and her belly hardly shows. But I guess when your size and shape are publicly scrutinized it would lead to being hyper-sensitive about any weight gain, even normal, healthy, expected pregnancy weight.
Sammi finds some shirts she thinks Snooki might like. “I don’t know what size I am,” Snooki moans. “Medium? Large?” She holds up a pair of teeny, tiny shorts, saying, “Look at all these nice skinny clothes.” “Don’t they have, like, pregnant stuff, where it’s bunchy here so it looks tight here?” Sammi asks, gesturing to her belly. Snooki tells her to wait until she gets pregnant. “Maternity world is not cute,” she proclaims. She complains more than all of the girls on 16 & Pregnant combined, and they have way more legitimate things to complain about than she does. Entitled little brat.
I can’t tell if Sammi is disturbed by Snooki’s behaviour or by the prospect of having to wear frumpy maternity clothes one day.
Mike tells us that it’s definitely starting to look like summer because as he walks down the boardwalk he sees bikinis, the beach, and sun. MVP and Ronnie are enjoying the rides, but only Ronnie and Pauly want to go on the roller coaster. Vinny and Mike recline on a bench. “Do they do, like, self help in rehab too?” Vinny asks. “Like, spiritual shit?” Mike says that you’re supposed to meditate and shit. “I go through the same shit,” Vinny says. He tries to crowd his mind with as much positive stuff as he can and keep the bad habits out. Mike interviews that it’s comforting to have someone in the house who can somewhat relate to what he is dealing with. “I’m so more in the moment than I ever was,” Mike tells Vinny. Vinny replies that that is how he tries to live his own life. “I try to, like, be in the moment everywhere I go,” he says. Vinny tells us that it feels good to share a bond like this with someone in the house. Instead of having to go through it alone when his anxiety pops up, Vinny feels that Mike is on the same agenda now, they have to do the same things to keep the bad thoughts away.
