“I have no idea why he would say that,” Sammi interviews, “And, like, we’ve still got a whole summer to go.” Ronnie is still berating Sammi. “I’ve said it all fucking week, you’re not yourself! You’re not you, you’ve been blocking me off!” Sammi protests that she isn’t. Pauly interviews that now that Sammi and Ron have had a big blow up, summer has officially started. Sammi tells Ron that she is sick and tired of of being treated like this. So break up and stay broken up this time! What can Ronnie possibly have to offer that is worth putting up with this Jekyll/Hyde routine? Ronnie tells her to watch it. “What are you gonna do?” Sammi asks. She tells us that she was trying to remain calm, she doesn’t want to fight, but it’s not okay for him to talk to her like that, drunk or sober.
“You’re gonna be so much happier without me,” Ronnie tells her. He’s not wrong. “The way you fucking treat me, no I ain’t fucking happy!” she retorts. “Then go! Get the fuck away from me! I don’t want you, go!” Ronnie shouts. Jenni interviews that Ronnie is “drunk Ron. Like, he’s ‘Ronning.’” If there is a verb specifically created to describe your behaviour while you’re drunk, that’s a clue that it’s time to start reevaluating your choices. “You see his eyes separate, and then he thinks Sam’s, like, the devil. He thinks everyone’s against him, especially Sam.” At Karma, Jenni pushes Ron towards the guys to try and diffuse the situation before it gets completely out of hand. “This isn’t the first time and it won’t be the last,” she says. That’s really not okay. I’m sure Sammi isn’t blameless in their relationship woes; she strikes me as high maintenance, whiney, and passive aggressive, but that doesn’t excuse Ron’s behaviour, especially since he could throw Sammi through a plate glass window if he got really out of control. They need to break up, and if they won’t break up then they need couple’s therapy, STAT.
We see clips of various and assorted girls dancing up on Pauly, Vinny and Mike. “Being clean right now and focused, I’m able to see things,” Mike interviews, “and I’m looking at Pauly, I’m looking at Vinny, and and I’m like, ‘Wow, I don’t know if they’re making good decisions right now,’ you know what I’m saying, ‘do I have to save them?’ And then I was like, ‘Maybe I wasn’t making good decisions.’ But then we all know I wasn’t.”
Thank you, Captain Understatement.
Snooki and Jionni are walking home after their date. “Did you have fun?” Jionni asks. “Oh yeah,” Snooki tells him, “I love being with you.” I guess Snooki’s sex drive didn’t show up tonight after all, because she hugs Jionni goodbye after he sees her safely inside the house. “It’s really hard to say goodbye to Jionni, cos everyone’s out at the club and I just feel really alone and I wish that Jionni was here 24/7,” she tells us.
