In an interview, Deena tells us that she’s totally drunk, and she sees Vinny and Chris talking. She immediately starts worrying that Vinny is being mean to Chris. “These are the negative thoughts that run through my head,” she says. “I feel like you’re being annoying!” she tells Vinny. Surprised, Vinny asks Chris, “Am I being annoying?” Chris says that Vinny isn’t. “You’re not going to buy furniture from him!” Deena exclaims. I guess Chris is a furniture salesman. “I’m not?” Vinny asks. “No!” says Deena. Come on, Deena, even Mama’s boy basement dwellers need a sweet leather sofa from which to play Call of Duty. Vinny interviews that the greatest thing about Chris (the greatest thing, you guys) is that he works in a furniture store, and Vinny needs furniture because he just got a house. Across the street from his mom (I might be reading between the lines again.) “I seriously need to buy furniture, and Deena hates that I’m asking him about it, and I really don’t know why.” It’s not the furniture, it’s Deena’s raging insecurities coming to the forefront once again and making her completely paranoid that her happiness is only temporary. Deena starts bawling.
“What did you do to her?!” Pauly asks Vinny. “I didn’t do anything!” Vinny protests. “I was talking to the kid about furniture, and she starts crying!” Meanwhile, Deena is talking about her feelings to her boyfriend. “I just feel like he’s doing it on purpose!” she says. That’s a fair assessment, people rarely talk about furniture accidentally. “Like, to make fun of you or something,” Deena clarifies. Chris assures her that he didn’t feel that way, but Deena says she doesn’t like it. Wow. Just… wow. Deena interviews, “I think, you know, Mike’s interfered with Ron and Sam’s relationship before, the boys have gotten on Jionni before, I’m freaking out.” What Deena is failing to take into account here is that Mike messed with Ron and Sam because in the first season it was a toss up for a while whether Sammi would end up with Mike or Ronnie, and the main reason the boys ever picked on Jionni was because of Vinny and Snooki’s history. They’ve never done anything to screw with Jenni and Rawdger (although that may be partly because Rawdger is more or less the Hulk.)
“I feel like you’re making fun of him,” Deena tells Vinny. Baffled, Vinny tells Chris, “Dude… I swear on my mother’s life” so you know he’s super serious, cos if God were to kill Vinny’s mom as a punishment for lying, Vinny would have to learn how to steal fluffy bath robes for himself “I’m seriously having a…” Deena interrupts, “Yeah, yeah, yeah!” Mike is looking back and forth between Vinny and Deena, trying to understand why nothing makes sense. “I’m trying to understand why this chick is crying right now,” he tells us, “but at the end of the day it seems pretty serious I mean, she seems like the world’s ending right now.”
