Make it or Break it Series Finale Recap

Last week Jordan and Kaylie’s old coach surprised them with his arrival and position helping the girls train for trials. Jordan finally confessed to Kaylie that Keegan had molested her as a child and she shut Kaylie out in order to protect her. Lauren’s heart surgery was sort of a success but too much stress causes her to blackout which puts her training in jeopardy. She confides in Payson that she is scared that she won’t make the team due to her illness. Payson is told that her position on the team is guaranteed if she plays it safe but she wants to show the Coach what she is really made of with a spicy routine. Kaylie cried over Austin and Wendy put her plans in motion to get her off the team by spiking her smoothies with banned substances.

So did he molest you?

Kaylie is walking furiously with Payson trying to stop her. Kaylie is on the way to tell Coach Mac what happened between Jordan and Coach Keegan but Payson warns her that she doesn’t know if it is the truth and it could hurt his reputation.Kaylie says she believes Jordan and that for years she was molested and she can’t let that continue to happen. So Kaylie is going to take it upon herself to turn in Coach Keegan even though he never touched her? Why does Kaylie make everything about herself? I mean she is an only child she already has enough attention devoted to her as it is. Payson questions the decision but decides to go along with Kaylie because these girls can’t do anything alone. Coach Mac asks Kaylie if Jordan will confirm the accusation because if she doesn’t it won’t matter.Kaylie says that Jordan didn’t want to when she talked with her previously but now that Mac knows she will definitely confirm it. Coach Mac says Keegan won’t hurt anyone else again.

Uh…it’s turbinado!

Wendy is making more smoothies and adds the powder to it as Lauren walks in. Lauren looks suspicious and asks her what she’s doing so she pretends that the powder is lip gloss. carol you called it on the fact that it was in a makeup jar in last week’s comments. Lauren goes to take the smoothie since Kaylie isn’t around and Wendy stops her saying that it’s only for Kaylie. Wendy asks about what is going on with Jordan as Kaylie walks in to grab Lauren to talk. Wendy looks pissed that is being left out but does nothing about it since Kaylie is drinking her smoothie.

Kaylie told me everything…because it affects her.

Jordan and Coach are talking and he says there is a strict protocol that has to be followed with these types of accusations. Jordan will have to answer questions but she won’t ever have to face Keegan again. Mac tells her that she does not have to do this alone because he and Kaylie will stand with her. Jordan says that Kaylie is lying and just scared that Jordan will beat her at trials. She walks off and denies it ever happened. Kaylie doesn’t understand why Jordan lied to Mac and he tells her that she has a history of self destruction. Kaylie says she likely has that history due to what Keegan did to her and then lets it slip that Jordan fucked up Keegan’s car the day before. Coach had no idea and tells Kaylie to let him handle things from here and to focus on trails instead. Kaylie seriously is an idiot. Why would you slip that she busted the windows out of Keegan’s car…not only could that get Jordan kicked out but it could get her arrested. Man these girls are dumb sometimes.

Jordan falls attempting her landing and Kaylie approaches her about why she lied to Mac. Jordan tells her she isn’t interested in talking and that she needs to stick her landing or risk not making it to London. Jordan tells Kaylie she is done talking because it doesn’t solve anything. Kaylie tells her it at least starts something and Jordan explains that it is not like she never told anyone. Her fosters told her she should be lucky to be training with someone like Keegan so she stopped telling people what happened.

Little baby beam

Lauren is practicing her beam routine which has been simplified while Annie and Coach monitor her heart rate. Annie tells Mac that she seems to be healing but he thinks it is because her routine is so simple. Pan out and we find that she’s on the 2 inch from the ground beams. Wendy walks over after completing her beam routine and tells Lauren that she reminds her of herself when she was 5 and how cute she looks on the little beam. Wendy is then given her sample to pee in and as she walks off Keegan walks in and hugs her a little too tightly. Mac sees this and yells at Wendy to go take her test. He looks over at the girls and tells Keegan to walk outside with him.

Don’t mind me…I’m just molesting kids over here.

Outside Mac tells Keegan to leave because he doesn’t want him around the girls as he got a report that he has been acting improperly with the girls. Keegan brushes off saying that he knows the rumors aren’t true and he has been teaching for 25 years without incident going through all the same background checks as Mac. Coach says that this is coming from a girl who doesn’t lie and is in fact a little too honest. Keegan continues with denials and Mac asks him why he hasn’t asked who his accuser is or does he already know. Keegan tells him he doesn’t need to know because it isn’t true and he goes to walk into the gym saying the NGO is who he works for and not Mac. Mac is enraged and punches Keegan as he tries to walk into the gym once more. Keegan asks him who is going to need the lawyer now and walks off.

Bitch Slapped!

Regina talks with Mac and tells him that he shouldn’t have punched Keegan and that they can’t just trust what Kaylie told them. Keegan is allowed to work under the presumption of innocence but Mac warns Regina that if he steps foot into the gym he will hit him again. Payson and Kaylie are talking and they don’t understand why Jordan would have destroyed the car if she were lying about Keegan. They know that in his years of teaching that Jordan couldn’t have been the only person he molested so Payson suggests using social media to contact girls they know who trained under him. They hope that one of them will step forward so Jordan knows that she is not alone so they set a ringer up in case they get messages from other girls.

Pay and Kay’s version of To Catch a Predator

Lauren meets with Jake who is covered in paint and dust. He hands her some flowers and says they are for good luck since they usually get flowers on the podium and it is the day before trials. She says if he wanted to give her good luck then he should hand over Otis but he replies no way. His real reason for seeing her is to give her the good news that he has made the Olympic team and is headed to London and wanted to give her the chance to give him a hug or a kiss. Lauren says that she only kisses gold medalists and he tells her that when he medals she will have to get in line. I really like them as a couple because he’s a smart ass and Lauren has finally calmed herself down. How come we couldn’t have this earlier??

Who knew they would be the breakout couple?

Payson and Rigo walk into a latin dance club because she thinks that it can help with her routine. He looks like Damone from Fast Times at Ridgemont High with his doofy hat and curly cue hair hanging out. Rigo tells Payson to just let loose so she does and ends flash dancing with him around the club. Everyone is sleeping but Payson and Kaylie are awakened by the ringer they set for the messages by girls who were molested by Keegan. They wake up and view the messages and see that Jordan wasn’t lying and there are others out there. Jordan walks up and asks what they are doing and gets mad when she finds out. Kaylie tells her that she is not the only one and there are tons of other girls that are ready to step forward.

Of course ABCFamily has to hashtag the show so #notalone flips up on the screen. Jordan breaks down crying and the girls hug her and tell her it wasn’t her fault. Jordan comes forward to Coach and Annie and then some police investigators. Keegan is arrested and Kaylie and Jordan watch. Kaylie says it is over and Jordan says it’s not yet and she will be speaking with a counselor in order to heal.

So I guess she’s not going to get arrested for breaking his car windows?
