Aside from making fun of reality television on a weekly basis, PopePhilly is a legal assistant by day and avid kickball player by night (well, at least on Thursdays). On the nerd front, she is an active member of the forensic speech and debate community. Bravo, Popephilly! (pun intended)

You’re a brave person for putting up with the Madison/Altman/Heather BS all season. And again, I call BS on that, because both Heather & JA were arguing with Madison on A-hole Andy’s WWH, which was filmed AFTER this. (that was live)

I do think JA & Madison hate each other, but all Bravo ramped up the drama, because other than the douchebag clients, there really wasn’t anything except JF & Colton’s gradual coming to terms about adoption.

And Edith! Yay! I wanted to know her reaction to JF/Colton’s news. Love her trying to be hip and text. That’s just great that she keeps up with technology. My grandmother would never even *touch* a computer, even though we tried.

Camilo – stay the F off my tv permanently. Madison, I love that you loved your dog. But services that include friends? You usually do something private with your family. You really are socially inept. I hope you get another dog, so that we don’t have to hear you whining more than usual next season.

JF/Colton – I have a 23 yr old you can adopt. I’ll exchange Edith for my geeky son. I don’t want her money, I just want her to hold & comfort me and talk to me, and keep my spirits up.

Just started watching this show and caught up on some previous episodes via a mini marathon they had recently.

Love that you use initials. When I first read this blog, the only thing I could think of was JA= JackA-s.

    Great recap!

A boob holding a boob..great caption! Speeking of JA and his brothers ..what an ugly crew..his parents are not beautiful by any stretch..by they are ok looking..how did they have such ugly children?
I was wondering what the plastic surgeon was thinking as he stared directly into the Altman faces..I bet the 1st thing was 2 nose jobs needed and that was only the first..wait until he sees Heather.BTW.. I am not convinced that Heather is trying to be good ..even if she went to the beach service…she did go late and that is not respectful..I am thinking she wanted camera time….
Not onto JoshF and Edith F and the entire Flag family..they are a class act. I loved when his mother said she hopes it is a girl..me too…how sweet would those two dads be with a girl!!! OMG ..she would start collecting Madame Alexandra dolls and work her little way up..move over Suri ..new girl in town..I just hope they adopt soon so that Edith can have some joy in her 90s…I wish we could meet Dana (Josh’s half sister) I bet she is as divine as the rest of the flag family! Also I must say ,I would like to see more of Madison’s mother she seems very special as well…and speaking of the Altman family ( they are a differnt kind of special) ..I hope that is all we will be seeing of them. Good ridance Altmans..BRAVO take note on this..
Thanks for the great recaps Pope Philly you did an amazing job!

@hutchlover: I have a feeling that Grandma Edith would spoil her great-grandchild rotten!

@Musicleader: I think the “JA” standing for “jack ass” is just an added bonus. Thanks for reading!

@TV Junkie: Maybe we only saw JA’s family on the last episode because Bravo knows they suck. I agree that we need more of Madison’s mom. She is such a sweetheart.

My TV seems to constantly run Bravo and I just looked up to catch Edith’s blueberry/strawberry message.

I want her to live forever.

@MrsMia (I hope it’s OK that I always shorten your name): I’ve started looking at things in terms of Edith Flagg. I was reading a book about WWII today on my lunch break. I came across a part about the Dutch Resistance and a number of their victories. My first thought was, “Go, Grandma Edith!”

I wouldn’t even be a little bit surprised if that womans lives for another 90 years. :)

Wow I feel bad that you have no life and need to waste so much time writing about a show that seems so bad to you. As far as Josh and his brother go, I know people that know them and always say they are a class act. Yes reality does make things bigger than they really are as otherwise no one would watch. But those two kill it and have sold over 100 million this year so far…it seems you are just a jelous writer that has nothing to do but make yourself feel better. The show is about real estate and seems Josh A is the only one that ever sells any.

@Pope-you can call me anything you like!

@Karen – Yes. This. The cruel teasing that he would make an appearance on this franchise has left me wanting him more than ever. I would like to have a bottomless supply of champagne and a hot tub full of Edith, Freddie and Tim Gunn. I would die of prune.

@Alex – Your last name is exactly the kind of animal JA and Heather both remind me of! If you’re right that they are good people, it should be an easy trick to do a little image rehab next season and we can write nice things about them!

@Alex, thank u for sharing ur viewpoint. This only reinforces my belief that the whoke Madison/Heather/JA conflict was pure BS.

I watched a mini marathon over thw weekend, and JA seems to be smiling alot for the camera, so that makes me think he’s in on the joke, like JF.
    .
And while I probably wouldn’t buy a house from JA, I always said I’d let him sell one of mine, because he’s aggressive.

But tell him to stop listening to Heather for fasion advise!

Alex is right. I’m totally jealous of JA. I have nothing else in my life except this recap. Oh, and my job, my work in the debate community, and grad school. Wait, “jealous of” isn’t the right phrase. I meant to say “amused by.”

@MrsMia: Can I join that hot tub? I think it would be a blast…except for me feeling bad that Grandma Edith no doubt is fabulous in a bathing suit and I know that I would not look nearly as good as that 93-year-old woman. :)

@hutchlover: I think JA was more in on the joke than anyone else. By the end of the season, he was really mugging for the cameras a lot! He really seemed to be enjoying that more than anyone else.

@featherhead: That may be the best comment I’ve ever received. You win the internet!

@TV Junkie: I thought the same thing! *High five!* I’m totally “Team Flagg!” and I’m more and more becoming “Team Hildebrand” (not just Team Madison). I like Madison just fine. However, it’s his crazy sweet mom that solidified my spot on tha team.

I also want to apologize for my last comment sounding like one of those crazy pageant moms on the T&T recaps. Ha!

@PopePhilly, the difference is that we actually believe that you are in graduate school. With the pageant moms who have their master’s, it’s difficult to believe that they even have a GED.

Well, if this show is renewed next season and PopePhilly recaps it, then we can substitute JA for Alex Grubb.

@hutchlover, I thought this whole thing was pure bullshit, especially since Heather claims Madison owes her $7 grand. While I do think it was nice of Heather to show up to the funeral, I just found it extremely bizarre that she was owed money and would go to the dog’s funeral of the man who she claims owes her the money and has filed a legal claim against her.

I do like this show a lot, mainly because JF is geeky and sarcastic, but it comes off as cool and relaxed, rather than douchey and assholish.

@PopePhilly, I really hope I watch your next recap venture because I like your style and I love when the bloggers comment with the other gasmii.

@Derek: Thanks! I like commenting here because I always liked it when the recappers did that as well. To be honest, whenever I get a “new comment” email, I feel like I did in college when Facebook first came out and I got a new friend request. Haha.

Anyway, next season, I’ll be recapping “Dancing With the Stars.” I don’t blame you if you don’t watch that. It is a time consuming show. :)
