It is a miracle. Through the love and guidance of dudes in wigs, RuPaul’s Drag U manages to make over biological women into drag queens so they can live the life they were meant to live. It’s all so Hallmark Channel inspirational.
This week the queens are making over three women whose style needs to grow up. Cristy didn’t really have a sob story so she was out of the running immediately but the the formula for picking the winner kept pointing in two directions. MJ was definitely the skinniest at 92 pounds but she was the oldest at 33. Nicole was younger but not particularly prettier than MJ. I couldn’t even decide who had the better back story. It was a quandary.
I started looking for other tiebreakers. Professor? Raven v. Latrice…dead heat. Prettiest dragulator photo? Damn, another dead heat. Actual dance abilility and rhythm…we might have a winner here. Tallest? Ooh, different winner. So I tossed a coin and picked Nicole because she looked like a couple of other winners.
Time for the performance and I’m not at all sure about my pick…because even though she seemed nice enough MJ kept making a stronger and stronger impression. I couldn’t figure out how they’d justify not giving her the win and I was kind of hoping for her to upset my perfect streak. So did she?
Jamal Sims is back as Dean of Dance, Joely Fisher is the visiting professor and I’m still laughing my ass off at the himbo they brought in to be this week’s expert for the lady lesson. He’s like a bad penny that just keeps turning up.

I’m behind in my viewing, but managed to see this last night. I’m glad we have our ringer contest to entertain us!
I can’t remember the names, but I’ll let ya know how I did when I see the full cap. Not sure if I picked right either . . .
all the dance routines have been better this year, the grrrls seem to perform as a group. I’ve seen some bad examples . .. .sigh . . .
Maybe we should try and invent our own Ru words . . . they can be rather flat for some of them.
