Mob Wives Chicago Recap: The Dramastic Fight That Never Dies

We start out with confrontation time between Giana and Renee.  Giana says that each of her parents have two completely different stories about her childhood and her father’s involvement in it.  Renee says she never once called the cops when Giana’s father showed up to see her.  Instead, her father never tried to show up to see her.  He would call to say he was coming, but would never show and Renee would cover for him for the sake of Giana.  Then Renee tells Giana that her father lied about having Leukemia so that people would feel sorry for him, which sends Giana off the handle.

This must really suck for Giana, because I have no clue who’s telling the truth either.  I’ve seen stuff like this on both sides.  I know that deadbeat dads have no shame in telling their kids all sorts of lies when they never once made a real effort to see their children.  I’ve also see cases where the moms purposefully kept the father away from their children only so they could hurt the father who wanted so badly to be a part of their children’s lives.  The main people I feel sorry for in either situation – the kid.  So, I can’t at all blame Giana’s feelings in all this.

C-Wow’s ex has come home and immediately starts acting like the stereotype of an Italian-American husband.  He asks her if she’s going to start trying to make some money and her plan is to make high-end clothing out of sweatsuits and force them on her friends who are too nice to tell her they’re hideous.

Because Pia and Renee are besties now, they and Leah go to do some yoga.  Renee is fully prepared with her massive ghetto hoops and probably some vodka in her water bottle.  She misses the whole point of being quiet during yoga, but who would think “zen” is a word that applies to any aspect of Leah’s personality?  Luckily it was just a private session, so it wasn’t ruined for anyone else.  Renee takes this opportunity to tell Leah that she wants to do the walk for Leah’s mom and all, but Nora makes her sick.  So, screw cancer awareness and supporting a woman with breast cancer, because someone she doesn’t like is going to be there and might make her uncomfortable.

You know, because it’s way more uncomfortable than BREAST CANCER!

Leah tells them both that Nora’s defense over the things she said at C-Wow’s party was that both things were true.  Renee wants to know why the hell Leah is talking to Nora at all.  Pia tells Leah that she’ll tell Nora to her face that she’s a freakin’ liar to which Leah replies, “Not at the walk.”  I love you Leah, but this can’t be a reality show without someone bringing up some stupid beef at an event that is supposed to be serious.  Is it highly inappropriate?  Hell yeah, but name one thing in all of reality TV history has been appropriate?

About

Hi, there!  About me...well, let's see.  I like to think of myself as an enigma, wrapped in a riddle, shrouded in a mystery.  Sometimes my personality doesn't even reconcile in my own head.  I'm a really caring and sensitive person, but I have a dark, dry, sarcastic sense of humor which tends gives the impression that I have no soul.  I am married to a great guy who shares my sense of humor and we have a son who, both fortunately and unfortunately, has his mother's personality.   I'm an independent contractor who works from home and keeps the kid all day, everyday.  I've loved to write my whole life and have big, never-to-be-achieved dreams of one day writing a book.  My favorite past time is laughing, which is what brought me to this site.  I can laugh at almost anything, so beware.

When I watched this last night, I felt the wine surge through my veins, overtaking me to want to beat the living crap out of Renee…

This was a pretty boring episode, compared to the last few. Although, I now see why Nora and Renee were such good friends – they both like to play the “victim “. I have a feeling that Leah is going to end up sorry that she ever told Nutcase Nora to call her if she needs her, even at 4 am. I wonder what Leah does for work, I don’t think they have ever even mentioned her having a job.

Awesome recap for a ho-hum episode Sugarbush.

I love that knowledge of Leah’s mom cancer has not slowed her chain smoking down one bit. :) C’est la fucking vie

Modeling for Pia is an option?

I believe Renee is telling the truth. The father seems like he is telling the one time he tried to come and get Gianna versus the 30 times he said he was coming and never came.

I guess after you strip for years what else can you do? Sexy modeling gets you off the pole at least.

I believe Renee as well, BUT why would her daughter NOT? Something smells dirty.

I will admit I know nothing about modeling…isn’t Pia a little long in the tooth for that?

@sheesh, because Gianna wants her father in her life so she wants to believe everything he says. When she gets older she’ll realize her mother was right and that her father had her duped.

Pia would probably do print work for longer in the tooth women things. I don’t think she’d be walking the runway in the Victoria Secret showcase.
