This week’s episode of Mob Wives really pissed me off Gasmii. Surprisingly, it wasn’t the Drita/Lee situation that caused most of my ire, although I do have some things on that subject as well. No, this episode pissed me off because of three things:
- It was very much a “what hurricane?” episode.
- Renee is still acting like an asshole. She’s a more tolerable asshole, but an asshole nonetheless.
- Why the fuck do we have to listen to anything regarding CousinSuckUp? No one cares!
But, there were some fun things in this episode too. So, let’s dive into these bitch infested waters and see what happens, shall we?
Let’s start with the Drita/Lee situation. Drita is giddy as a little girl at a princess party, as she tells Ang and Carla about Lee being back. I am not amused at all. She says that she came home, Lee was holding Giselle, and Giselle was saying “look mom. Daddy!” Aleeya was just as bowled over and excited. To me, it sounded like Lee was using the kids as a shield so that Drita wouldn’t automatically start in on why he was at her house instead of the halfway house, or why he didn’t tell her when he was getting out so that she had some warning. But, that’s just me. Drita was too happy to see him to even think about that.
Ang, being the lovable woman that she is, wanted to know if Drita fed him. And, Drita definitely fed him some muff pie (that’s right. I said it).
She is absolutely tickled with her joke. But, and this is the only saving grace for that scene in my opinion, she still says she doesn’t know what to do about Lee once he gets out of the halfway house.
So, at least she is thinking about it. At least I hope she is actually thinking about it and not just pretending.
Anyway, Ang wants Drita to take him back. Carla wants Drita to be practical. Ang says something about how Carla was done with Joe because of the cheating, and she makes it sound like an accusation, which is really weird when you think about what Ang tells Carla later in the episode when it comes to the divorce.
Karen, Love, and CousinSuckUp are at some event. I feel jarred. It’s like Sandy didn’t happen, and while it wasn’t subtle, it was still subtle enough to suck me in while still being bothered by it. I do think that Jennifer G. is a master manipulator. But, I didn’t expect this scale. Just watch, in 2 maybe 3 episodes (maybe within 1 and half episodes), the story will have either moved to the point that we are all caught up in the drama and totally won’t notice the lack of any hurricane damage, or we will be treated to an episode dealing with more recovery efforts in order to humanize the women before they turn into raving bitches on steroids.
