Renee is still in rehab, but is about to graduate. She talks to CousinSuckUp to check in and can’t quite resist bringing it back to herself. I won’t judge in this instance, because I just spent several paragraphs talking about my own personal experience with hurricanes, but I wouldn’t be a good recapper if I didn’t point out what she did there. She says that she wasn’t there for a reason. If she had been there, the stress of all of it would have pushed her over the edge.
My DragQueenRenee is slowly coming back to me.
Drita talks to Aleeya about the things they need to do in order to prepare for Lee’s return. I immediately get angry. Is she really going to allow this guy back in her home? I get that he is the father of her girls, and the love of her life– blah, blah, blah… But, seriously?
The second she says “Sleeping with the Enemy,” I am on guard. I get her being in love with this guy. But, really Drita? He’s getting out in three months, you know he has to go to a halfway house before he can re-integrate, and still? Still, you bring this shit up to your daughter? So, you’ve already decided to take him back? No negotiation? No debate about his cheating? All of this while describing him as an abusive asshole?
As much as I have been a supporter of Drita, I can’t with this decision to prepare for Lee to be home. I just can’t believe that she would submit her daughters to what she knows is going to be an awful experience. If she does this, I have to admit that I will lose respect for her. It should be the opposite. He should have to adjust to what their lives are like now. They have been living without him all this time, he is the one who should be trying to fit into their life, not the other way around.
Karen and CousinSuckUp take cleaning supplies and other necessities to victims. She even tells one of them that she has a place to stay if they just need somewhere warm to sleep. Why does it take this type of tragedy to bring out the good in people?
Love brings the only real comedy in this episode. She is on the phone with the boyfriend that she stabbed in front of his mother. Apparently, she stabbed him several times throughout their relationship. But, she is very embarrassed by the fact this last stabbing happened in front of his mother. I love how matter of fact she is about all of these attempted murders. And I especially love that the biggest issue with the whole stabbing thing was how embarrassing it was that it happened in front of his mother.
