Meanwhile, Ang and Neil seem to be back together. Or, at least he is in the house and helping with her efforts to do as much as she can to help the victims of Sandy. I think that Ang does love Neil, I just think that they are both kind of unprepared for being in an actual relationship-based marriage and can’t figure out what they are supposed to be doing when it comes to the other person.
Ang has her “Bronx Boys” over to deliver a literal truck load of goods for the victims. I love her so much you guys!
They pull up in a moving van sized truck full of water, baby supplies, food, clothes, and sundries. She makes a joke about things that “fell off a truck.” You guys know I fell in love with Ang the first second I saw her on screen. But, OMG! Seeing the way these guys interacted with her, seeing the way, she interacted with them, seeing her response every bit of devastation that happened, I absolutely adore this woman!
Renee is graduating from rehab. I wonder if the center decided that it wouldn’t be a good idea to show everything. Because it doesn’t seem like she has been there all that long based on the episodes. Either way, I’m ok with it. I don’t like the idea of showing addicts while seeking treatment – it’s why I will always hate Dr. Drew. But, being invested in the lives of these women, I do wonder what I missed.
Anyway, the other patients have some things to say. It is all very complimentary. One of the guys talks about how he thought she was full of shit, but learned that she wasn’t. Another talks about how much he is going to miss her. One even calls her a mother-figure (that kind of hurt me on AJ’s behalf).
But, she is going home and feels like she is ready to face what is ahead.
And now it is time to discuss the part that I have been dreading throughout this recap. You guys know that Drita is my girl. She has been the only one on this show that has seen her weaknesses and tried to come back from them since Season 1.
She has been the only one to be completely honest about her husband and her expectations from him, even while he was behind bars, since the very first episode.
I begged and pleaded with Drita throughout each season to not take Lee back. But, throughout this episode, she talked to her daughter and the camera about what it would be like to have Lee back in the house.
She says that Lee is like sleeping with the enemy, and that in and of itself gave me red flags that this was an abusive relationship. In this episode, she talked to Aleeya about what she will need to do to keep her father happy as far as his OCD.
