Mrs. Eastwood and Company Recap: Mrs. Doubt Tyler

Last week, Tyler and Dina had a blow out when Tyler overstepped his boundaries and took charge when Maddi’s nose started bleeding. Overtone started arguing more and more within themselves regarding Ed being a homosexual and his potential relationship with Riaan. Emile’s girlfriend didn’t do anything but stir the pot by trying to out the situation to Dina. She should have just shut her face and enjoyed her free trip to Maui on Dina’s dime. Tyler and Fran fled to a hotel to avoid any further confrontation while Overtone prepared for their upcoming HUGE concert.

Seriously, chick is useless. 

This week we open at the McCoy Studio Theater where Overtone is preparing for their HUGE make it or break it concert. I think this was played up a little too much because it didn’t seem that make it or break it to me. I think there was like 100 people in the audience and for some reason Morgan and her friends were dressed like belly dancers. Dom performs a song about all the ridiculous going on with Tyler and Fran and Dina and everyone laughs. I’m just surprised he didn’t perform that bullshit “Call Me Maybe” song that everyone seems to be up on. Tyler and Fran break into Dina’s house in Maui to get Tyler’s stuff back while everyone is at the concert. So if this was Fran’s home for many years, why doesn’t she have a key and how the hell did Tyler get into the house? I kind of wonder how staged this scene is because you have to think that someone like Clint Eastwood would have better security on a home that he seasonally stays in. Like they don’t have alarms on the door, locked doors, security dogs or security cameras on the premises? They might want to beef that shit up now that viewers know how unsecure it is.

The problem’s name is Krissy.

After the concert, Overtone is talking shit in their hotel room with the unnecessary girlfriend and wife about Ed and his homosexuality that seems to be a huge issue within the band. Emile says that Ed is too emotional and Tino’s wife confesses that Ed told her in secrecy that he is in love with Riaan. So if he told you in secret why would you tell everyone his private business? Nichole says that they are all missing the big picture and should put themselves in their position and how they feel being told that they cannot be together. Emile has a moment of clarity and says he feels terrible that it was to that extent and that he would feel shitty if they told him that he couldn’t be with someone that he loved. Krissy is making stupid faces and not adding anything to the situation. Why the fuck is she there? Meanwhile, Ed is drinking heavily in his room and Riaan walks into the middle of the shit talking fest about him and Ed. He tells them that Ed heard they couldn’t be friends at all and FINALLY Emile gets that he was wrong and his choice of words suck. Seriously this guy is really stupid, he says things that come across as homophobic and shitty but doesn’t realize it until someone points it out to him. Take a minute before you speak Emile.

That’s about as snarky as I can get on this.

Overtone finally gets that they have been dicks to Ed so they all go looking for him in his room (which is not next door as you would expect) and find that there is blood everywhere as he has cut himself. I don’t want to snark too much on a serious matter but I will say that it was just a cry for attention because he cut across the road and not up and down. It’s down the street not across the road if you want to really cause some damage. Krissy of course adds nothing again while Nichole cries and Ed tries to get the camera out of the room. The guys do not understand how it got so far to the point where Ed felt that he had to cut himself but they resolve to stand by his side and put all the stupid stuff aside. Um that stupid stuff like calling him emotional, not letting him be with who he wants, saying his homosexuality is a problem and blaming him for band strife is what caused this issue in the first place. Tino says they need to apologize to Ed for overstepping their boundaries and I’m pretty sure it’s a little too late for that but A for effort.
