Nashville Minicap: We Live in Two Different Worlds

Juliette blows her interview big-time by basically saying “Y’all are haters.  Why won’t you let me be great?”  The resulting shitstorm puts her tour in jeopardy as sponsors start pulling out.

If I was Rayna, I would be humiliated playing a country club.  She looks so awkward, she sounds awful and the sight of a room full of rich, white Republicans trying to clap in rhythm is just painful.  It all ends in hurt feelings, exhaustion and tears.

The episode ends with Juliette and Deacon making plans to get together.

FYI – I’t not the first time Katie Couric has whored herself out on a show. She did an interview with Sue on Glee after she lost the national champion ship…..my capture code is “it’s over”…should I take that as a sign?

I think I’m in a minority, but I like it when reporters do something like that and show they don’t take themselves too seriously.

On to the show, I was confused about Rayna saying she needed to fire Deacon after the club dust up. Didn’t her father start it and Teddy jumped onboard? Why isn’t she angry with them instead?

@Tx gal – I was confused about that too. I thought maybe something happened while they were singing and I had missed it. Teddy is scum!

Glad I wasn’t the only one confused at the whole Deacon/Teddy fight and then Rayna saying she would fire him.

I was wondering if maybe the situation between Teddy and Peggy would be something other than an affair? I know that’s the obvious choice, but maybe the writers are toying with us and it might end up being something to do with his shady money business. Or it could just be the obvious affair story.

I agree with you Kammie, I don’t think it’s an affiar that Teddy and Peggy are hiding. I think it has to do with whatever Teddy did at the Credit Union.

It seems like the situation is being set up where Rayna and Juliette will basically need each other to salvage their careers — I like that they didn’t make the coming together of the two women overly simple!

I think that Scarlett has an amazing talent, but she annoys the heck out of me. I’m glad that Gunnar is finding other waters to swim in! Of course we know she’ll suck him back in with those big puppy dog eyes of hers. Ah well…

Kammie: I wondered and thought the same thing. I think they might be going for the oh its an affair when really it is a money thing. Or both.
