Kevin leaves and Zoey offers to move out–she doesn’t want their friendship affected by aky awkwardness that would result from her being too close to Jackie’s personal life. It’s a very thoughtful insight, but Jackie doesn’t want that–she doesn’t want to be alone and risk joining Charlie back in rehab. She wants Zoey to stay. Free childcare trumps all!

Next week, Cruz reaps what he sows with the firing rampage, and it looks like what’s left of the nursing staff finally gets fed up. Only 2 episodes left!

    @BlueCanary You did a great job on this. Even though this episode had 1 of the most depressing themes of any show that’s supposed to be entertaining us.

    I hope next week they’ll #giveJackieherpillsdammit and get us cheered back up.

    Didn’t Kevin find her lost Tic Tac container full of drugs in the car when they tried to go on the weekend getaway with the girls? That’s pretty solid evidence that she was probably high around the girls, too. I also think Akalitus tossing Jackie’s sample was a “known unknown” for Jackie. She was forced into giving the sample that she and Akalitus knew would be positive and yet she wasn’t stripped of any duties or responsibilities? She had to know Akalitus did something.

    I can see how his losing control around the girls is a problem for him but it would just point to neither parent being fit, not suddenly make Jackie a likely candidate to have full custody because even her own attorney knew she didn’t really have a chance in hell of beating him. She’s barely in recovery, Kevin has those bank statements and Cruz is a wild card who can rain down hell on Jackie. If Kevin is deemed unfit, it would seem more likely that neither would get custody and the girls would go into DFS custody, not that she’d suddenly get full custody.

    But I know as much as you do, so I could be totally off base.

    oh what a awesome recap!! I cannot stand Cruz he sucks! gosh i hope they bring back Ackulitus I love her! Is there gonna be season 5 ?
