Nope, not a joke Snow. Emma is freaking out because she told Henry that his dad was dead and now she doesn’t know what to do. Snow naturally counsels her to come clean with the kid; no matter what Bae did to Emma, Henry has the right to know who his dad is. She of ALL people should get that.
Rumpy and Henry are still waiting for Emma to get back and Henry wonders why Rumpy is so nervous; when he found his mom he was excited. Because Rumpy knows that sometimes things don’t happen the way you want them to. Sometimes? How about most times?
But can’t Rumpy see the future? That’s what it says in Henry’s book. Why can’t he just look and see what’s gonna happen? It’s complicated. He didn’t always have that particular ability, and then when he did he found out that maybe it’s not the gift that ya might think it is. Seeing the inevitable can be a terrible price. The future is like a puzzle with missing pieces; difficult to read and never, ever what you think.
Emma gets back to them and breaks the news to Rumpy that his son got away from her. Looks like she’s taking Bae up on his offer of never seeing him again.
We haven’t checked in with Belle yet this episode, so let’s drop by StoryBrooke General and see how she’s doing. Looks like Regina’s had the same thought because she’s stopped by for a little visit as well. Belle wonders if they were friends, and Regina skates around the truth telling Belle that they spent some time together. You’d think that Belle, having returned to her StoryBrooke self, would remember being locked up in this hospital and maybe even remember that Regina was the one who threw away the key. You’d be wrong.
Regina tells Belle she needs her to help find something; something that belongs to Rumpy. Who?
Oooooh. That guy. If you’re looking for the teacup, I threw it against the wall. Other than that I don’t know where the creep keeps any of his stuff.
Yeah, yeah. Regina hits Bella with some knock out magic and proceeds to go through her purse.
She zones in on the yellow index card with a number written on it. 915.63 What could it mean? Well, given Belle’s chosen profession, Regina assumes that it’s the number of a book in the library. So she rounds up her mom and Hook so that they can search for it together.
Hook would have rather pillaged Rumpy’s shop, but the ladies know he would never have hidden his dagger there. Hook should know it too ESPECIALLY after he already stole something from Rumpy right outta his shop! Like the guy wouldn’t take anything of value to him and move it right after that.
