Fine. He’s got three minutes.
Have you been wondering what ole Greggy boy’s been up to? Well. He’s been cleared to leave, but he’s gonna just stick around for a little while. Know why? He saw Reina’s magical purse perusal and even got it on tape!! Yeah, that’s not gonna be good, is it?
Meanwhile, over at the library, Hook as successfully deciphered the map and points Regina and Cora in the direction of the dagger. They repay him by leaving and knocking him on his ass (and out) before doing so. Sayonara sucka!
Regina wants to know if that’s what it was all about; her mom getting the dagger so she can get the Dark One’s powers. No silly, she wants the dagger so they can control the Dark One. Then they can have him kill everyone that stands in Regina’s way and she’ll be blameless in the eyes of the only person that matters: Henry.
Oh mom, you spoil me!
Over in NYC, Henry and Emma have a little chat on the fire escape. She’s sorry she lied to him, it was selfish of her. She was thinking of herself, not him. He thought she was different, but turns out she’s just like Regina; Regina always lied to him too. Damn. That’s gotta hurt.
Rumpy’s trying to explain himself to Bae, but Bae’s not super interested in anything his dad has to say. I can’t say I blame him given that Rumpy chose keeping his powers over his kid. But he wants to make up for it now; there’s no greater pain than regret.
I dunno, I think abandonment might trump it.
Rumpy wants to make it up to Bae, but Bae doesn’t see how he can do that; he grew up alone, without a dad. There’s no making up for that. No, no, no! He totally can! You see, in StoryBrooke he has magic so he can take Bae back there and then turn him back to 14 years old again. He can relive his childhood years, only this time with a dad around.
Are you fucking high?
Seriously, Rumpy. What adult wants to relive their teen years?? I sure as hell wouldn’t go back to 14. Now, 27…28….then maybe I’d take him up on his offer.
Rumpy pleads with Bae to give him a chance….he once loved him. Bae says Rumpy was once a good man, but Rumpy thinks he can be that man again. He’s changed! He came here without magic to find his son. Sure, but he’s still trying to use it to make up for his mistakes, to make everything all better. He can’t. Not when the last image that Bae sees (and has seen for YEARS) before he goes to sleep is his own dad letting him go, choosing his magic over him.
Sometimes sorry just isn’t enough DAD
