Poor Red, she really didn’t want to kill her mom, it was an unfortunate side effect of saving Snow. She cries and says she’s sorry, and before she die mommy says Red chose Snow. No! She didn’t! She chose HER. She is NOT a killer. And then mommy dies. What a bitch.
The mob (complete with pitchforks and torches) has tracked Red down back in Storybrooke and George is just about to shoot her when Charming and Granny arrive to stop him. Well, Granny stops him. With an arrow to his gun. God I wish I had a Granny like her!
Charming uses this opportunity to tell the crowd that Red didn’t kill Billy, George did. He lays it all out for them, the plot to kill someone and make it look like Red did it, all so he could get control of the town. He insists Red won’t hurt anyone; she’s just scared.
And then he goes to calm her down.
It works and he’s able to throw the cloak over her, turning her back into Red. A fully clothed Red. Huh. I bet some people are wishing that this show was on HBO or something right about now.
Red tells Charming he saved her, but he says he didn’t; she saved herself. He just reminded her of who she is.
Of course George has used this distraction to sneak away. He doesn’t seem to have gone far, in fact, Charming finds him hanging out by a nice toasty campfire.
Did you remember to bring the marshmallows?
He killed an innocent man! “He was a mouse” George replies. Damn, he’s cold. Charming says he hopes George doesn’t want to make a deal because it’s not gonna happen. Good because he’s not interested in making a deal. He just wants to see the look on Charming’s face when he realizes that he’s never going to see his wife or his daughter again.
Ahhhh! He’s got Jefferson’s hat and he’s gonna burn it!!!!!! NOOOOOOO!!!!!
Charming can’t get to it and George monotones at him that it doesn’t matter how much fairy dust he gathers or how much he rallies the town behind him. Without that hat his family is G-O-N-E.
Charming also takes out his gun and looks like he really might blow George’s brains out, but Red tells him not to; George SO isn’t worth it. George laughs and tells Charming he told him; he shoulda killed him when he had the chance.
I hate you, you fake king daddy!
We rejoin our dynamic FairyLand duo one last time as Red buries her mom, telling her she hopes she always runs free beneath the moon’s pale light. Snow says she’s so sorry, she knows what it’s like to lose your family. She didn’t lose her family, Red replies, she protected it.
