Once Upon a Time Recap: Mother F***er!!

Emma is looking as traumatized as I was when I discovered my parents little drawer of delights back in the fifth grade.  Finding your mom’s crotchless panties and emotion lotion can really do a number on you!

Tell me about it!  No, wait…..don’t.

Emma makes an excuse to head out to the kitchen (mucho tacos to make)but tells her parents that next time they might want to put a tie on the door or send a text.  Maybe a #dontcomehomewerefuckingourbrainsout Twitter.  SOMETHING!

Charming is thrilled to find out that even at this late stage they are able to provide Emma with some traumatic childhood memories.  LOLOLOLOLOLOL

The joys of parenthood

Back in FairyLand, Regina watches a castle burn and discovers that Snow and Charming have defeated nasty ole King George.  But all is not lost yet; she finds out that Snow and Charming are not together; Snow is at this time on her way back to meet up with Charming.  What a perfect opportunity to catch up with her step daughter!

This is gonna be so gooooood

Snow falls right into the Queen’s trap…or does she????  Snow and Charming KNEW Regina would never be able to resist coming after Snow, so they set a trap of their own for her.

Too bad, so sad, I win again

Charming tells her that her reign of evil is over.

Back in Storybrooke the Charming family arrives at Granny’s for a Welcome Home party.  Big hugs and big mugs (o’beer) abound and Emma and Granny bond over cooking something that doesn’t requiring a whole lotta killing first.

Meatloaf back at home?  What a bitch.

I love Granny.

David makes a toast, saying that he and Snow have a saying about how they’ll always find each other, but he hopes that they won’t have to go looking for a while!  Here, here!  In the middle of the festivities, Regina shows up carrying a baking dish.

Pot luck, right?

Grumpy grabs a nearby knife.  Emma tells everyone that she’s the one that invited Regina and her parents are almost as shocked as she was when she walked in on them boning.

Okay, maybe an eighth as shocked as she was.

Snow reminds her daughter that Regina tried to kill them just yesterday, but Emma is determined to give Regina the chance that Henry wants her to have.  If Henry believes she’s trying to change then Emma does too.  She points out that she couldn’t have changed if no one gave her a chance, so she’s giving Regina one too.

PottyMouth

When she isn't screaming curses at various dance show judges or washing her OWN mouth out with soap, PottyMouth is a proud mama to a gorgeous little boy. And yes, she knows everyone says that about their kids, but it's true when she says it. YES IT IS. Fuck you. She also laments throwing away the chance to be a trophy wife, and would like to find a rich husband so she can sit on her ass all day long and watch TV. If you are fabulously wealthy, look like Hugh Jackman (or ARE in fact Hugh Jackman), and are turned on by foul-mouthed, mature, slightly smooshy women, then she just may be the gal for you. Looks like Cora killed someone else and only made him look like Archie (but who did she kill? Why was that person in Archie’s office? How did Pongo not realize that it wasn’t Archie?) Damn me and my questions of logic!

My guess, Cora killed whoever first, shrunk the body,Put it in her pocket or somewhere on her, switched it with Archie, shrunk Archie and changed the body to look like Archie. Pongo’s memories stopped as soon as Cora froze him, so she could have done all that without Pongo seeing it. Besides she was covered in purple smoke. Option 2, she froze Archie and switched bodies as soon as Pongo took of to tell people that Archie was in trouble.

I think when the smoke covered them, that was Cora actually switching are Archie with whoever she killed.
How many people are StoryBrooke?Shouldn’t somebody notice that a couple of people are missing?

We’re going meet Snow’s mom this season! I can’t wait, I don’t think any other version of Snow White has really given Snow’s mother some back story.

I wonder how long Rumpy has this thing set up. I wonder if the others are going to realize the hand he’s had in this whole thing.

I’m so happy that I know had traumatizing memories regarding my parents sex life. Just horrible memories of my mother give me “sex talks.”

    Loved the Les Miz references!

ITS BACKKKKKKKK. I didn’t actually get to watch it till yesterday and it was awesome.

Im so glad Archie isn’t dead. I was really upset that he was gone and the show Joss’d him (In honor of Joss Whedon and his habit of killing every character I love) BUT the twist at the end was great. I definitely thought maybe she had Bae in that cellar which would have gone along nicely with the Lost Boy idea floating around.

There were some really, really funny jokes in this episode. The best being traumatized Emma.

Storybrooke seems like a small town but in reality I think it has to be much greater with how many people are in the stories.

It’s so heartbreaking to watch Regina’s suffering and attempts at redemption be dramatically foiled like they were. She was really heartbroken to hear about Archie.

I need to read now. I got over excited.

Happy New Year PottyMouth! How was new Fantasyland?!?!?!? Great recap as always!

I wonder who tackle-shop guy was. I still can’t figure it out and I know it’s not important but I wanna know. Like GusGus.

The scene with Snow and Charming in bed was really priceless. Emma’s face! Oh the therapy Emma is going to need from Archie now…Well…that is if anyone can ever save him… I think it’s time for Emma to start looking for her own place though, a studio apartment with your mother and father (and son?!)

Whenever my parents get vaguely close to talking about anything sexual involving them, I say “Therapy!” really loud and remind them that they’ll have to pay for it.

Doesn’t work quite as much now that I’m in my twenties but….Everyone still gets a laugh out of it. I was just glad my parents never gave me the super awkward sex talks.

    Granny is best character.

Emma sticking up for Regina was a really touching scene, as was towards the end seeing the fully eaten lasagna dish.

And I can totally see where Regina is coming from about Doctor-Patient confidentiality. Even if Archie was trying to help I’d be upset if he blabbed about me to the town too.

I love how Rumpy has his fingers in every pie in Fairytale land. Spinning his threads neatly together to achieve what he wants. Though, I love to see his softer side with Belle and how hard he’s trying to change for her.

I totally agree how frustrating it is to watch Regina earnestly struggle and try to be a better person throughout the first half of the season only to have everything blow up in her face without her knowing why. Which, of course, is going to send her back into a well of darkness. I hope when Cora is revealed, Snow and Emma realize that it wasn’t Regina, it was crazy mom. The scene with Emma in the car nearly killed my poor allergies. Her heartbreak was deep.

Can I just say that the blue velvet dress Regina was wearing was AMAZING. Someone let me smother the costumer designer in love, these costumes are gorgeous.

Poor Archie……He’s in for a rough time….We can only hope he provides as little as he can muster or twisting words.

You just know at some point Hook is going to go off to make brooding smolder eyes at Emma from afar. Hook’s got it bad.

New things I want to know,

Will someone discover Wonder Womans invisible jet….I mean Evil Mother’s invisible Boat?

Will Henry go back into believing Regina is evil or will he visit her and help her keep the faith cause he knows she’s trying.

    Who gets Pongo now?

How cute will Belle be in next weeks episode? (The answer to this one is very cute)

Why haven’t we gotten any new glimpses of August or Henry’s sperm donor?

Great recap!!! Sometimes I like reading the recap more then watching the show. I of course know absolutely nothing but my guess is the fake Hopper Grass at the office was the fish. I also wasn’t so happy that the real Hopper Grass wasn’t D E A D dead. What makes him so much more special then anyone else who as bit the bullet on this show??? Besides who ever heard of a green cricket??? I think he is a Hopper Grass posing as a cricket. I also love my Evil Queens being evil!!! Not trying to suck up to the underlings like she is having to do. My favorite part was her telling Red to go walk herself!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAAAaaaaaaa!!!!!

Hello all! PottyMouth, I’ve had the opportunity to spend the holidays in Disneyland and Disney World and it truly is magical! Plus everything smells like gingerbread cookies and it snows on Main Street but not the bitch kind of snow we can get on the easy coast I’m the winter (though it’s been so beautiful I fear even bringing up snow will remind the weather that it’s winter so shhhh, I said nothing!)

I actually enjoyed my hiatus. I did my final for one of my classes using Once Upon A Time and the last class someone approached me to tell me that they had watched all if season one and caught up on season two, I was so proud. Actually a lot of people I know got sucked in during the hiatus which is exciting because we already talk about the show endlessly. Personally I whiled away the time getting completely and irrevocably immersed in Doctor Who which was not only exciting and entertaining but emotionally draining and anxiety inducing. It has become very clear that I am a masochist when it comes to my TV shows and I am learning to live with the constant agita. I also recognized our dear Prince Charming in an episode of Doctor Who, something I know I mentioned on the last recap but I felt was necessary to say again because he’s literally just a face.

Anyway, I felt most of the episode was slow. I was shocked that Cora had not killed Archie and I was shouting at the TV that everyone needs to stop abducting Belle before I cut myself off in shock.

Emma, Emma, Emma! Poor Emma. I remember my awkward sex talk well, oy! Would you believe the Internet was angry about that scene?! I actually read that people felt like they should only show them passionately kissing because they’re still Snow and Charming and beloved fairy tale characters don’t have sex. I actually felt bad for the person blogging about this. The poor thing. Maybe my expectations are higher even though it is a family show because I really really wanted some shirtless action, the gun show was nice but I want to see the whole torso!!! I digress, I think the show has made it pretty clear these are our fairy tales and Disney characters all grown up. Sex is a part of that. It’s why Hook is so sellable. However, I think the boundary of it still being a family show is good. Keeps our attention on the plot lines. Anyway, I was proud of Emma in regards to Regina and then I wasn’t because she invited Regina because of what Archie said. Emma should have done it anyway because Regina saved their lives!

Speaking of Regina what funny lines she had to Archie and Red! It was great! I’m tired of her being picked on. I know she’s more interesting when she’s evil but it’s a lot of anyone. At least Lana shines no matter which side if Regina she’s acting. I liked that banishment was a worse sentence than death, very medieval, very Shakespeare.

Moving right along, since Pongo needs a home where’s Roger and Anita and Pertie and Cruella?! Also, I would love some version if Lady and the Tramp (I feel like Emma and Neal/Hook could make this happen).

Everyone something bad happens to Regina I think of the Wicked song “No One Mourns The Wicked” speaking of I I feel like Whale is the Wizard of Oz and Belle could totally be Dorothy!

Also, where is King George? If he teamed up with Cora once he’ll surely be up to no good again!

And as far as the fairy tale character Cora killed, I’m not sure it was important, that’s not to say not every character is important but I feel like it’s the idea that she killed someone to replace Archie that matters and not who she killed, if she did kill someone like JackJack the whole deception and framing of Regina feels a lot like what Regina did to Snow with Catherine.

Did anyone else find it interesting that Regina told Emma that magic comes with a price and not Rumpel?! I foresee the blossoming a of a beautiful apprenticeship once Regina’s name is cleared and Cora is out of the way.

We’re getting another Whale flashback soon and eventually Charming’s name (seriously, Charming who? lol!) all because Hook gets hurt. Also, tons of guest stars are going to be popping up, one is a mysterious stranger from what I read, perhaps that’s the human who crosses the boarder into Storybrooke?

I hope August comes back, poor Gepetto is going to wrought with grief over Archie, he needs his little (okay all grown up) wooden boy to be by his side!

And finally, Michael Raymond James tweeted all about Neal shows up and remains until the end of the season…Lot’s to make if that piece of info!

So glad it’s back and the recaps are back!

I actually like Doctor Who more than Once Upon a Time. More exciting, less drama.

I am guessing the dead body was the fish too. It did remind me of the fairy tale where the fisherman found a magical talking fish that would grant him 3 wishes if he let him go free. That is about only thing made me think of.

I am going against the grain and saying Hook is not going to be as good as you guys think he is again. I am not so sure he is going to turn out a conflicted good/evil character like the Queen. I think he might just be bad now.

Have you guys seen the Babble picture article that shows all the Disney men in super sexy ways? I will try to link it….http://www.babble.com/babble-voices/casa-de-chaos-ciaran-blumenfeld/2013/01/09/disney-dream-dates-the-hottest-disney-dudes/?cmp=SMC|bbl|soc|FB|Main|InHouse|011013|Photo||famE|Social||&utm_campaign=babbleeditors&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_term=SMC|bbl|soc|FB|Main|InHouse|011013|Photo||famE|Social||#prince-eric

    don’t know if that worked….

I thought it was Belle in the boat but was surprised to see Hopper.

    Great recap.

I do feel conflicted about the Queen because like when Emma was like “No he can’t spend the night” I probably would have said the same thing to her the Queen did. Emma thinks too much of herself sometimes. You are the bio mother, but you were gone for 11 years and did not do crap so you are not the perfect mother you think you are. I feel if you combine the Queen and Emma you would probably get the perfect mother for Henry and that is maybe the point. He needs both of them and they need to work together and stop the competing bull crap.

Of all the typos in my previous comment the worst one is in the 7th paragraph, it should say every time not everyone. Sometimes I wish we could edit out posts because that one is just riddled with typos, I apologize! And blame the fact that I forgot to check the site until really late at night and then got over excited about commenting.

@April: I think OUAT and Doctor Who are a lot alike an also very different. I like them both a lot. I especially enjoy having my mind blown beyond the capacity I thought it could be blown previously. And after six and a half seasons of Doctor Who I have cried more than I have ever cried watching OUAT, that’s not a measure of anything by any means given that OUAT is knee deep in only season two. But I will admit that I felt like this nonsense with Cora impersonating Regina would have been solved much quicker if The Doctor was around(though I think I could come up with a million excuses to have David Tennant guest star!). That being said I much prefer Russell T Davies as a head writer, Moffat doesn’t seem capable of igniting my emotions the same way, I feel like he disregards all the stuff that came before the Matt Smith era of Doctor Who and also we had to endure Amy Pond for two and a half seasons and that was just bad. But then again my opinion regarding the Ponds seems to be rather unpopular. Conversely, OUAT doesn’t go for the twisty mind blowing character arches but digs deep and brings out something that is completely obvious. I think OUAT needs the drama just like Doctor Who needs an adventure. It’s a completely different animal when you consider that Doctor Who has all of time and space to deal with while Storybrooke is one tiny little town in Maine that was basically stopped in time until Emma came along.

I was trying to make a point that I can’t like one better than the other because they’re messages can sometimes be similar but the way they go about sending them is totally different and I enjoy the differences but I think that idea might have gotten lost in my ramblings…Whoops!

So when Cora turned the guy into the fish I believe my first thought was lol, it’s flounder! But I agree, I think it was that guy, mostly because if someone else goes missing from Storybrooke it’ll be another witch hunt ((pun intended/not intended, I’m not really sure!) against Regina and let’s be honest Graham’s death is still technically unsolved, it all seems very unnecessary and done before.

Hook-y is going to get injured somehow, me thinks this will enlighten everyone to Cora running amok but also change Hook. He’s not going to get to kill Rumpel, this is a sure thing in my opinion. So the only other options are for him to get killed or change. In which case it seems like the latter is more likely. Though Storybrooke doesn’t seem to have the greatest evil villain rehab…Someone should open one!

In regards to Emma’s response about Henry not staying with Regina I was hoping Emma would realize that Regina has a big house, Snow has a tiny little apartment. You would think that the events of walking into the apartment earlier would be right behind her eyes (and possibly in a moment of insanity) I expected Emma to ask if she could stay there with Henry. That would have worked. Regina could be with Henry, Emma could watch and Regina and Emma could forge a friendship outside of the entire town’s bias of the Evil Queen they know. But maybe I just really want to see Emma and Regina work together, maybe because Regina is an outsider and Emma feels like an outsider they would understand each other if they were given the opportunity…IDK…I just feel bad for Regina and I’m tired of Emma being afraid of herself.

Also, I really think Emma should have given Regina the opportunity to tell Henry her side of the story.

I wonder how magic will change Emma…

@Adventure Emma did invite Regina cause she saved them. She mentioned the Archie because she was just talking to him. When Regina leaves you can see Emma talking to him.

I don’t think the body is the fish. Hook pushed the fish into the water.

Does anyone else think they are going to kill Belle off? I really hope not, but if they need Rumpel to turn really bad, that will do it. They seem to like their villans two sided though with some good and some bad, so maybe not.

I think there is a little bit of Lost going on here where the other people that are not main characters are expendable and never noticed or cared about and they are just there in the background. Like red shirts on Star Trek or something.

PottyMouth, a Jesus Christ Superstar joke followed by a Les Mis one? I am in dork heaven right now! Yay!

Weirdly, what I care about more than anything on this show is why Original Henry (Regina’s dad) was in Wonderland. When Cora fell through the mirror, did her preexisting heart collection go with her? It would make sense that she’d “captured his heart” or something like that, but I want to know how he got there! Also, depending on when Regina got him out, Jefferson had seriously been there for a long time. I miss Jefferson. Come back with your sexy guyliner and craziness!

My heart broke for Regina in this episode. Cora, you are so eeeeevil! It was nice to see Hook be kind of scary at the end, too. He’s become Cora’s lackey so much that I tend to forget that he’s a baddie.

Where is King George hiding? Where are Hansel and Gretel? Did they ever find their parents? Where does Sneezy live now that he’s forgotten who he is? These are all things I care about more than August and Bae at this point, although I seriously hope August shows up to comfort Geppetto.

April: Maybe not kill Belle off but potentially have her kidnapped/maimed/wounded/something horrific happen to her that will cause Rumpy to snap. Especially if he and Belle continue down Romance lane.

Jessi: I agree about Jefferson. I, for one, am excited to see his actor in the next Captain America movie!
I also agree with you on people missing. It’s probably been my biggest complaint of the season that we were introduced to so many people only to have them not show up again. I know, I know time management, but even a glimpse of Ashley and her Prince walking the baby down the street or Hansel and Gretel’s dad waving bye to them at Henry’s bus stop.

Adventure: While I don’t want to go on my Moffat/Who rant (cause it’s long and I do love Moffat! Sherlock!), my biggest issue with Moffat is his disregarding of anything during the Davies era in the first two seasons and the lack of character building. He’s gotten better with the rise of the 50th anniversary referencing Jelly Babies and mentioning Rose once but still. I realize I love, love, love Davies and Moffat tells stories really differently but it can be frustrating who Who.

I love Ragina being \EVIL!!!\ I don’t care!!! I don’t want her going all goody two shoes on us. I actually want to see her get more EVIL. More EVIL then her mother even!!! She needs to kick ass on that pussy Charming clan and show them exactly who the boss around that place really is. She needs to feed that little jerk stepchild of hers a little gunpowder every day. They do that to dogs to make them just as mean as mean gets. Make that Henry so damn mean that Rumpty Dumpty looks like a Fairy God Mother. Now that to me is how I want my Evil Queen to be!!!

@Sagi: Ah, I must have interpreted it wrong. Even so, Emma shouldn’t have brought up what Archie said after Regina thanked her. The whole scene felt like an unnecessary lash out on Regina’s part. I think it plays into why the earlier part of the episode was slow to me, the whole thing felt like a set up built around what Cora was orchestrating. Also, it really bothers me that Red is always convienantly around whenever something is amiss. If she’s doing wolfie things or hanging out with Snow/Belle she’s witnessing something she shouldn’t see (or in this episode was shown something she was supposed to see) it makes her more of a device and less of a character, she needs to keep to herself, get herself a boyfriend…WHERE IS AUGUST?! They would be perfect for each other! She’s a werewolf, he’s a wooden guy. They both need to keep their compulsions in check. They could channel all that energy onto each other, it would be exciting!!!

@April: Can Belle be left alone? I think she’s been through enough! The poor girl doesn’t know what a telephone is. Rumpel has no reason to be bad right now. Not one. We’ll see what happens if/when he and Bae are reunited.

@Jessi: I have wondered about Henry Sr. and Cora in Wonderland too. Regina knew exactly where he was and it was obvious who had taken him but timeline speaking it is curious when he meant missing, how Cora got him there. If I remember correctly Cora wasn’t just letting Henry Sr. Walk around Wonderland with his heart among her collection, he was in the box and Cora brought him back. Then again I’ve only briefly considered that scene from the Cora and Regina dynamic perspective and why Cora simply let Regina go. I believe the conclusion to that was Cora had no interest in killing Regina until Regina had shown interest in killing Cora. I’m interested to learn more about Cora and Henry Sr. Can’t wait for the young Cora episodes and to find out if she is the Miller’s Daughter and if Regina is the child Rumpel was promised.

I imagine that now that essential characters are back/have arrived and the central plot is focused around Storybrooke we’ll start to see old faces return. This is what SHOULD happen anyway. If not showing them then mention them. King George threw Jefferson’s hat into the fire, Charming almost shot him, he was supposed to be locked up but we haven’t seen him since and with Regina heading behind bars he can’t be out and about but the jail isn’t that big. At the end of the Hansel and Gretel episode their father picked them up, I imagine they were still together when the curse broke so surely they’re together now. Fairy dust seems to be being cultivated so Sneezy could already be cured. I imagine fairy dust plays a role in allowing Rumpel to cross the border.

@Wendy: I won’t go on so long as before since this is probably a discussion for somewhere else but I just feel like Moffat’s writing is inorganic. This isn’t really true because he wrote a lot in the Davies era but like having Amy narrate the opening of seasons five and six was annoying and also a complete disregard of all past companions. It just makes Matt Smith seem like an island. I’m not going to complain about his fumbling around looking like he knows what he’s doing because I really don’t mind Matt Smith. He’s just not my favorite Doctor and that’s not his fault. David Tennant is just unimmitatable in many ways and that’s good. I’d much rather miss David and watch thinking how he would have handled the situation differently than watch and upset myself because Matt was trying to be him. I just think that Moffat is all about the big reveal and saving The Doctor whereas the Davies episodes were more about The Doctor saving the world and how his companions saved him. I also really miss seeinf returning characters, liked that Martha would call The Doctor in season four after she had left and I miss Captain Jack and The Doctor yelling at him flirting. And I miss how other experiences would be referenced by The Doctor when something seemed familar. That’s why I’m not a fan of Moffat or his beloved Ponds who in my opinion were useless, well Rory was alright but Amy couldn’t talk The Doctor down or make him realize his humanity like Rose and/or Donna. Amy was a pawn. I do like River, Moffat definitely shocked me there! But I like the possibilities of the new companion even more, maybe because it’s reminiscent of the days of Rose. I am excited for this 50th Anniversary! Everything is very hush hush but there’s lots to hope for! It’ll be really interesting because it’s about time for a new Doctor…Which had me thinking if David Anders was English and wasn’t Dr. Whale he could actually pull off The Doctor, he’s really funny outside of acting like the town douche.

Okay so that ended up being not short at all…Please carry on with your OUAT discussion

Adventure: Careful Red might use August as a Chew Toy…..Well he might like that.

As for Cora, I’m sure she lured Henry Sr. into Wonderland somehow, perhaps via a looking glass? He obviously still has some sort of feelings for his wife (and daughter) no matter how evil either of them got.

I just wish for those little glimpses. I’m probably asking too much from the show and it’s awesome. But I really do wonder about everyone and where they are and what they’re up to. Even just little background glimpses that you have to be watching to notice.

I feel like Moffat was trying so hard to pull away from Davies he left everything int he dust. I liked 5 I loved the story about the crack in amy’s wall, but I got really annoyed with how she was portrayed almost in a Rose fashion. I loved the fact we got two companions again, we hadn’t had that in awhile and I always enjoy the power dynamic. I actually really enjoy Matt Smith’s Doctor, he’s not my favorite but like how Nine was the darker, more solemn doctor and Ten was a happier, light hearted doctor, Smith’s Doctor after the trauma’s at the end of 10′s life was the more scared, childlike doctor who covered up his Darkness and Fears with this goofy, playful shell. It was a great move in his part to play him that way. In season 6 when it became ALL about River Song he lost me. It took me until this past august to actually watched “The Wedding of River Song”. There was so little Doctor and so much River and Amy became really insufferable which was sad because I loved Amy’s snark. I liked River as a recurring character who would pop in like Jack or Wilifred or Jackie but six lost a lot for me. I’ve heard 7 is good so far, I watched the first episode and I’m being made to watch the others this week when my Whovian friend pays me a visit. I’m hoping we see more Doctor especially with the Anniversary…….Speaking of the Anniversary if Rose and Human Doctor don’t make an appearance I will throw something. Not sure what, BUT SOMETHING. Also Jack. and maybe just a glimpse of Donna? Ugh….Donna :( she’s even more Heartbreaking than Rose because she can never really come back.

I apologize for all the Who in the Once.

Here’s a Once Question for everyone, when Neal shows up, how long will it take someone to punch him? And will it be Emma, Charming or Snow first?

@Wendy: August would definitely be okay with being Red’s chew toy! She has a penchant to attract the dark loner types…The sexy wolf that brought her to mother seemed interested. Granted he got killed and she did seem to be looking forward to getting to know GusGus but that wouldn’t have worked long term. Red and August need each other. Why hasn’t this happened already?!

I was looking at GIFs of Graham last night because I miss him so much and I still hate Regina a little for killing him and I don’t understand why Whale hasn’t brought him back yet but then I know that won’t happen so I hope Mulan and Aurora will bring him back with Phillip but that seems even less likely so I’m just waiting for him to come back in a flashback!!! I do wonder if it’ll come out now that Regina killed him. Emma always suspected but there was never any proof so that’ll be fun rehashing all that emotion. I probably should prepare myself.

This Who discussion isn’t going to end anytime soon so I’m just going to add my two cents and not care that it’s interfering with OUAT discussion. I just…Amy Pond is a blah character…She just irritates me a lot and I felt like she was so weak after Donna. She is just in love with The Doctor but also Rory and it’s just bothersome. IDK she’s all hype to me and she didn’t add much in my opinion because she was too busy not being really there half the time anyway. I can’t talk about how Matt Smith recently won over as being a good Doctor because you haven’t seen it yet but it seems much older in the Christmas Special and it was a good change, it made his antics in that episode more interesting because he was physically rising from his own gloom. I’m saying too much, I’ve said a lot already! I enjoyed parts of season six. I like how River is major character in The Doctor’s life but their timelines are going in the opposite directions. I can’t say much in regards to The Doctor and River’s relationship except I think that’s the point, she loves him but I’m not sure he loves her, not like how he loves Rose. And when you consider the fact that they’re destined to drift apart he can’t carry a torch for her when he knows how it ends. It’s like his love for her grows backwards too (I hope that makes sense but like he meets her and after a lot of convincing knows he’s supposed to love her by then but still doesn’t really know her and by the time he does she doesn’t know him). Season 7 is fantastic! Episode 5 is very Moffat, very very Moffat. DON’T BLINK! And the Christmas Special was magical!!! You’ll have to let me know what you think after you see it! We have to wait all the until April so I crave any and every opportunity to discuss Doctor Who. I want to see Rose and Tentoo also! It’s a great way for David to come back without messing with timeline stuff. Plus I think it would be really funny to see Rose and River meet. We have to get a glimpse of Donna at some point, The 10th Doctor said he would meet Wilfred again. Call me crazy but I want The Master back too!!! Oh now I’m excited for you to see season 7!

We should take bets. Since Charming and Snow don’t know who Neal is and unless it is revealed that he’s Henry’s father at exactly the same moment that Emma realizes he is in Storybrooke my bets are on Emma punching him and punching August when she finds out his hand in all of this. But with all the punching comes Henry’s anger at Emma lying to him and then will he run back to Regina? Ooooo. Whale will be off to the side being thankful it’s not him for once.

Emma will punch Neal first, then Snow once she finds out what he did. Charming, who is enjoying recovering lost childhood moments with Emma, will get a shotgun. Yeah I picture Charming as the type who won’t just tell the boys he has a shotgun, but will show them.

Well we did see some attraction between Ruby and August, in the episode she quits the diner. And starts working for Emma.

Charming is too old fashioned to use a shotgun, he’ll borrow Granny’s bow and arrow!

I genuinely want this Red/August ship to sail! Partly because it feels like it works but mostly because the show has been really sparse with the relationships. There’s the Graham business that can never be. Aurora and Phillip reunite, his soul gets taken by a Wraith and we’re left wondering who he really loves (Mulan or Aurora? Despite the fact that in his abc ends they’ve totally fallen for each other). Red and GusGus meet and it looks like the beginnings of newfound love except King George literally rips that dream apart. We get a nice glimpse of Emma and Neal and then he abandons her because August tells him to. And finally Daniel is given new life only to ask Regina to let him go in death. We’re getting some cute moments with Rumpel and Belle and there’s been A LOT of Snow/Charming which is all good and fluffy and nice and it was fine last season because the plot had to move forward and the curse had to be broken but I’m ready to see more relationships! Holy run on sentence, Batman! Anyway, since this whole season is all about love being weakness (or strength) it’s high time the fairy tale characters of Storybrooke creating some legendary love stories of their own. Then again I suppose either the writers are too cynical for that and enjoy things like the Emma/Hook sexual tension or that’ll open up the options for lots of misery (since that’s what love really seems to be) in the end. Ah, I can’t think of all the hurt that the writers could wreck on us!

Question, can Cora truly die if her heart is still in tact? Is this going to be like a horcrux expedition for Aurora and Mulan?

BTW the tag at the top “Can people really change?” Reminds of that scene in Bridesmaids except now I’m imagining Regina being like “If you’re growing you’re changing” and Snow being like “But I think people really just stay the same”…I’m finding this idea really funny, probably more than I should

@Adventure: I don’t think he’s to old fashioned for a shotgun. Can’t you see him sitting in a chair, cleaning a shotgun, while Emma’s date waits for her to come out?

Funny that you mention Bridesmaids. I watch it last night. HBO has been showing it just about all week. I can’t decide if the best scene is the wedding shower one or her trying to get Rhodes attention in the end. I would love to see a OUAT wedding with all the ladies involved!

For what it’s worth. I personally think that Henryshould get the first punch on Neal. For abandoning his mom after he went and got her pregnant. Then a second one for not being there when he was born. Then a third one for not taking care of him after he was born. then a forth one fo–. OK, I think Henry should just beat the hell out of the piece of garbage!!!!

@Sagi: I actually envision Charming being the kind of dad who kills a date with kindness. He comes off very non threatening and he’d certainly use that to his advantage. He doesn’t need a weapon to speak for him, he has his tact (despite Rumpel saying otherwise).

I love Bridesmaids, it is one of my favorite movies! I quote it with my friends all the time! So much of that movie is applicable to regular life situations, though that might be helped by the fact that I’m a bridesmaid in one of my best friends’ wedding! My favorite scene and my favorite line change all the time, it depends on what kind of mood I’m in.

August and Red should get married! The show is too young for weddings and babies, we get longing looks and passionate kisses. Should be interesting because once Cora is out of the way will Hook stay in Storybrooke? Will Emma rehabilitate him? Is she really over Neal?

@Mike: Henry should get a punch in but you just know that Neal is going to stroll into Storybrooke and Henry is going to be one of the first people he meets and it’s going to be this adorably sweet exchange that’s going to have everyone screeching and squealing at the TV that it’s the first Daddy and son moment and it’s going to be just like in season one when Emma and Snow would have those adorable moments except Emma KNEW Snow was her mom and just didn’t want to believe it. Henry is going to pissed at Neal but he’s going to be angrier at Emma for lying about his father. Looks like Snow has the best chance of winning Mother of the Year.

Another question, do you think that using magic will cost Emma her relationship with Henry? If not, what will it cost Emma?

Regarding Pongo — even if Pongo was able to sense that it wasn’t Regina (which he could because he growled and Archie seemed surprised by that reaction, responding with .. “you know Regina” or something like that), the memory catcher couldn’t read thoughts of the dog, it could only see memories (what the dog SAW). So, you’re looking through his eyes, not hearing his thoughts.

Also, even if Pongo knows that the dead body isn’t truly Archie, he still would try and alert people that there is a dead person in need of help in Archie’s office. Plus, if Cora replaced one body with another, perhaps the new body still “smells” like the original person. In other words, Cora took someone and turned them into an Archie clone. If the clone looks like Archie, perhaps the physical body also smells like Archie to the dog.

I also want to give the writers of OUAT props for being able to do something that most shows don’t accomplish (at least with me). They were able to seamlessly manipulate you into rooting for characters you originally disliked and vice versa. In other words, I absolutely despised Regina, but now she’s one of my favorites and I’m rooting for her. On the other hand, I used to like Charming and Red but now those two just annoy me and have me screaming at my screen for them to shut up and mind their own business!! With most shows I watch, once I like a character, I stay in their corner regardless of the plot twists (and I usually hate characters forever once I already hate them).

Hmmm, I don’t think magic will ruin Emma and Henry’s relationship right now. She hasn’t really used that much of it. So when he finds out he’ll most likely just be scared for her and make her promise to be careful her. And Emma will promise him that she’ll only use it for emergencies.

I’m not sure about the price Emma will have to pay. There are so many ways she could have to pay it. Has she paid back Rumpy’s price yet? The one she owes him for letting Ashley keep her baby.

I think Emma can promise not to use magic unless it’s an emergency but Henry is about to feel betrayed by Emma too which means just like Regina anything she has said or done to prove otherwise will be invalid. I don’t expect magic to affect Emma and Henry yet but I do expect it to come into play at some point. What will be interesting is if Henry can do magic!

Emma still owes Rumpel but that has nothing to do with her own cost for using magic. I don’t expect Emma to become cold and calculating because of magic but I do expect her to realize her abilities can make life easier and that’s where the danger lies. When does magic go from being a convenience to becoming a crutch. We know Rumpel is having that difficulty. Emma could easily fall into the pit of temptation. Interestingly enough, ALL magic comes with a price but is Emma’s magic more pure because she’s the product of true love as opposed to the dark magic Rumpel, Regina and Cora wield? Or is all magic the same and it just depends what you use it for?

Guys!!! I was perusing the Internet about next week’s episode because I want to know more about the stranger who made quite the impact when he entered Storybrooke (see what I did there?!) and I came across the Canadian Promo for next week’s episode which is completely different from ours and has lots of stuff we should definitely hash out before the episode. To all who are interested here’s the linky http://youtu.be/5–X72AySfU

Woah what did I miss. I’m avoiding all the lower questions because I didn’t watch last night (I was in the middle of cooking) and I’ll watch tomorrow over breakfast but I’m going to guess something big happen an I’m going to guess I’m going to flail like a banshee.

I’ll watch tomorrow and be back, I don’t want to see any accidental spoilers (of my own half for not watching on time)
