Once Upon a Time Recap: Owner of a Lonely Heart

Aurora and Mulan are freaking out because there’s no squid ink just lying around the cell (as if Rumpy would just leave it out in the open).  Did he have a cellmate, Mulan wonders.  Nope.  He was in solitary.  Aurora finds a scroll hidden in a nook in the wall.

What’s Rumpy, in the third grade or something?

Shit.  That thing is longer than Santa’s list!  That’s just a bit creepy.  What’s creepier is that Emma goes all weird eyed and blinky, like perhaps the scroll is putting her into a spell or something.

Why am I suddenly craving hamburgers and ketchup?

Back in StoryBrooke, Henry is reading to Charming.  Well, it worked before, right?  Regina pops in for a quick chat and tells Henry she’s got to run out with Rumpy to prepare for Snow & Emma’s return; can he stay and babysit Charming while they’re gone?

You’re not up to anything dastardly are you?

Kidding.  Henry isn’t the least bit suspicious (even though he looks like he is); he swallows her line and then remarks about how she really has changed.  Regina has changed enough to look very uncomfortable at that remark.  But not enough to keep her from heading out with Rumpy.

They make their way to the mines where all those brilliant, magic filled diamonds are hanging from the ceiling.  Regina wonders how many of them they’ll need; ALL, Rumpy replies.

That’s a bit greedy, isn’t it?

Watevs.  He pulls out a fairy (dead fairy) wand (remarking that no one mourns her).  Any thoughts on who he means?  Cindy’s fairy godmother?  Did he kill Blue?  Or (GASP) Nova?  Wouldn’t any of those be missed???  Anyway, he uses the wand to scoop up all the magic as Regina watches.

Suddenly we’re back in past FairyLand, rejoining Hook and Regina after her attempt to hire him to kill her Mommy.  She enchants his Hook so that he is able to rip out the heart of one person.  Namely, Cora.

So don’t fuck it up!

Hook wonders what the fuck Cora did to her that warrants Regina wanting to rip her heart out.

None of your fucking business, Pretty Boy!

Watch out Hook; if you’re not careful you’ll end up locked in her bed chamber like the last hottie who failed an assignment!

Can we pleeeeeaaaaase not talk about it?????

She tells him to kill Cora and bring her body back.  He’ll need help getting to where Cora is….she pulls Jefferson’s hat out (and a dead guard) and sends Hook on his way….

PottyMouth

When she isn't screaming curses at various dance show judges or washing her OWN mouth out with soap, PottyMouth is a proud mama to a gorgeous little boy. And yes, she knows everyone says that about their kids, but it's true when she says it. YES IT IS. Fuck you. She also laments throwing away the chance to be a trophy wife, and would like to find a rich husband so she can sit on her ass all day long and watch TV. If you are fabulously wealthy, look like Hugh Jackman (or ARE in fact Hugh Jackman), and are turned on by foul-mouthed, mature, slightly smooshy women, then she just may be the gal for you. Episodeee timeeeeeeee!

The scene with Belle and Hook was so funny. I really couldn’t stop laughing at it, finally Hook acted like the pirate I know he can be. And I just love that Belle didn’t loose her fight in that cell and she was still defending Rump’s honor.

Can we just talk for a moment about how GORGEOUS Regina’s dress was guys? I mean, DAMN. It was all bejeweled and queen-y and evil.

The mommy dearest vibe is getting strong with this show.Regina’s got serious serious mommy issues!

So, I know it could be seen as Rumpy being evil about the portal, but I think he was being practical in terms of things. Neither Rumpy or Regina have defeated Cora before and killing Cora with the portal would be advantageous. But I don’t think he really wanted to loose Emma either, she owes him a favor and he plans to call on it.

As soon as I saw the note in the wall, I knew what Rumpy had done with the ink. Did anyone else? Using the squid ink to write the saviors name would be a very potent form of magic.

I’m standing by my theory that the wand is Maleficent’s. She’s the only fairy no one would miss I can think of. And Emma killed her dead.

*sob….NOT THE HUNTSMAN! ITS TOO SOON. Okay, so it’s been a year…..THATS TOO SOON.

I was person number one on the anti-Cora as Queen of Hearts team but I bow down to being wrong. I really wanted it to be more interesting then that but I concede, she is the only one it could be. However it does lead to a few interesting questions. 1. How did Cora get to Wonderland? 2. How did she manage to become Queen? 3. How did she get Regina’s dad there and 4. Where did she hide her heart?!?!?!?!?!?

Poor Aurora, she looked so, so horrified when she realized she was being controlled and she didn’t have her heart. But did anyone else think the whole Heart thing was wrapped up kind of short? Like, she only lost her heart the episode before and now she has it back plain and simple. I thought she was going to be heartless for awhile….

Hook and Emma need to get a room. After she decks him and gets some ice for that burn he delivered.

If magic goes missing Gold and Regina would be the first people I’d hunt down. Did they reallllllllly think no one would notice?

I feel bad for Henry, it’s kind of like everyone in his life let’s him down all the time and he has this never-ending hope in everyone.

Emma’s pity parties are getting a bit annoying, come on girl! You saved an entire lost group of people, reunited with your parents and son and you’re on your way to saving the Fairytale world! Give a hand to your bad self.

I like how Cora could magic the entire lake up. What? No water? No problem? Here’s my easy button!

Barbara Hershey is stone cold terrifying. That woman plays evil so well. But the scene between Regina and her *Dead* mom was really touching, you could really see the vulnerable little girl in Regina who just wanted a mom that loved her and that she could love back. And clearly, somewhere in Cora’s empty chest cavity she does feel something for her daughter. Or she’s just narcissistic and wants Regina to crash and burn to pick up the pieces one by one to be back in her life.

It’s one or the other. Now we know why part of the realm wasn’t in the curse. I wonder just how much of that was and what kingdoms? I also want to pose a question. If Whale was from another world and he got transferred with the curse, did all other worlds? Or did Whale happen to be in Fairytale land when it happened?

I’m honestly kind of bummed Aurora and Mulan didn’t go with them. I hope everyone stays in contact otherwise the third thread is going to be really disconnected from the other two (Past and Storybrooke). I do want to see more of the ravaged Fairytaleland and find out where’s Phillip’s soul.

Time is always fuzzy on this show, I’m going to guess it was a time lapse? Or they figured it out much faster than we think…or……okay I shouldn’t analyze this. On with the fighting.

Anyone else find Hook and Emma’s fighting really sexually charged with all the physical contact. Usually sword fighting is much more distanced. You can tell they got the feels for each other. Especially when Hook saved Aurora’s heart. I don’t know if he did it for Emma or if he did it in Ex-Mrs.-Rumpy’s memory but it was a nice moment.

Hook has some of the best lines of the season in this episode but Emma’s got the best punches!

I hope the magic emitting from Emma and the talk with Rumpy finally get her to stop doubting herself. She is a living breathing product of the most powerful magic alive. She needs to harness that power!

I can totally understand Rumpy and Regina’s mindset at the well but what she did for Henry, absorbing all that magic was a truly selfless act. It could have killed her, she didn’t need to save them, she could use magic to manipulate Henry. But she wanted to be better for him, for them and to maybe even believe in Good? I was really, really upset that no one invited Regina to go to Granny’s. She saves your butts (okay granted she put them in danger in the first place), she gets your husband to you in the dreams AND watches over his sleeping body and you can’t even invite her to pie :( Poor Regina……..My heart broke.

Since Regina consumed all that magic, does she have all her big bad powers back?

Charming and Snow…*sniff* Wahhhhh I can’t take the waterworks, I didn’t even have wine this time and they were still pouring.

I’m glad Emma could see that Rumpy didn’t almost kill them because of them, she now knows Cora is one nasty nasty piece of work. But, unfortunately………..Mama’s common’

Damn that bean….This show is so good at putting in the little details that become so significant later.

I think Regina is learning the hard way that the road to redemption is long and unpaved. I hope she doesn’t take these knocks as a reason to turn back to evil but as her paying dues? And I hope Emma and especially Snow see that Regina is trying to change and she needs their support and friendship. Snow and Regina were really close when Snow was a kid, they obviously bonded. Even with the whole, you caused my lover to be killed, you killed my dad and put me in a curse and then transported my life to a town where I didn’t get to watch my baby grow up….We can all be friends? Right….? Maybe?

Okay……..This is so long and I apologize…I’m going to shush now until other people get here!

@Wendy:Regina pushed Cora through the looking glass remember. If Cora’s a threat to Rumpy and Regina I doubt she had any trouble taking over Wonderland.

Maybe finding Cora’s heart is how Mulan and Aurora will be tied in to the main story. I don’t think Cora would bring it with her, and risk the chance of out heroes getting a hold of it.

I think Hook save Aurora’s heart for Mila. I don’t he actually wanted to hurt her. He was just planning on using her to get back into Cora’s good graces.

I felt bad for Regina not being invited to dinner, but it is understandable. She has long way to go before she gains redemption. She spent years trying to kill Snow for basically being a naive child.

Hopefully we will finally get some Mulan and Aurora back story when the show returns.

SagKim: Oh yeahhh, I didn’t connect the Mirror and Looking Glass together. That makes sense. I hope we get back story on how she took over/how she got Regina’s dad there!

That’s a good point, Cora’s heart is her weakness and its definitely somewhere in the magical realms. Since they have to go to other realms for Phillip will we see Mulan and Aurora realm hopping?

Mila, that was the name I forgot (or blocked out…..) I think Hook really couldn’t bare to think of another woman forever without her heart.

I just felt so, so bad for Regina. I think she needs a bit of extra kindness too, maybe dinner invites are too soon but I hope she’s included in battle plans and caring for Henry.

Oh yeah I got the note was written in the ink the second they pulled the note out. I was kinda shocked it was taking them that long to figure it out themselves. This shows just keeps getting better.

FYI the new Snow White ride won’t be ready till the Summer. I saw them building it though. It is a new indoor coaster type ride and they had a big sign on the wall about it. I could see the track in the building. The new Little Mermaid ride is finished though and that ride was great. It was so new it even smelled new. They also premiered the flying dragon that shoots fireballs that flew around New Fantasyland in the night sky. I had heard rumors about it on the Disboards for awhile and we figured it might be for new Fantasyland and it was.

I also felt like really hurt for Regina when they all were like “Woot we did it! Let’s go eat!” and left her standing there. I thought she might say something like “Can I come too?” and they be like “Sure” but it did not happen. I feel she is really coming around and it sucks that she still gets treated like that. They better be nice to her or she will go evil on their butts again. You know what they say, keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

    Man Hook is hot.

April: Ooh! I thought it was done! I think I just got too excited by Belle’s cottage/Beast’s Castle and Eric’s Castle with the Little Mermaid ride. I heard its pretty much a direct copy of the Little Mermaid ride out here in CA which I adore, but the way the Ariel figures blink kind of creeps me out. But I’ve had issues with statues since a certain Doctor Who episode…

Wait, Wait, Wait! THERE’S A DRAGON?! Ugh, Orlando way to make me jealous again. I haven’t been to Disney World since 1998 and there’s so much good stuff there now! :(

Well…..at least we got Cars Land out here? We do have a small exhibit in the Hollywood Backlot of costumes from Once too. I hope they put more from the show in the park.

Hey I know all of you guys love this Hook, but as my husband reminded me when I was gushing about how hot he is, Hook is a child and Indian killer. Hook loved nothing more than killing lost boys and Indians daily. He may have been a bit of a silly buffoon in the Disney version, but he was pretty evil and ruthless in the other versions. He does kill lost boys or tries to. Children. Keep that in mind when imagining him being good. I don’t think he will be good. If he is, it kinda betrays the story. His greatest aspiration for years while chilling in Neverland was killing Peter Pan who was an adolescent.

Awsome recap PottyMouth. Loved the Princess Bride refrence too.

Cora’s coldness and not having her heart make total sense. I do think that the key to defeating Cora is her heart, and that Mulan and Aurora are going to find it.

I didn’t notice until the screencap, but when Regina taking back the magic in the well she turned green (ie The Wicked Witch of the West; and another Oz reference). I think it was mentioned previously, but I love how they are including different types of literature.

Finally, this is a bit off but it was a realization I had a few days ago. The similarities between Rumplestiltskin and Walter White from Breaking Bad are so similar it’s crazy. Both started as sort of weak and timid men just trying to survive. They both made drastic choices in an effort to save their loved ones, which then had rather ironic results. Does anyone else see this?

PottyMouth, say hi to the Princesses for us!!!

So, I’m posting right now even though I should be working on two papers that’s due dates are soon approaching! At least all my finals are just papers. I still haven’t decided what to do one of my papers on, we have basically full rein within the topic and I might use OUAT for my analysis……..Don’t look at me like that! If you knew the topic you would understand why I’m having a debate about it!!! So many choices!

    Now to the episode!

I may have gotten a bit ahead of myself in the last recap so the only thing I really have to say is about Cora being the Queen of Hearts. I have been debating this point with my friends and I’m the only one who didn’t think Cora was the Queen of Hearts anymore. What bothers me is there seems to be a bit of an inconsistency, at least based on character canon.
    Timeline:
-Regina pushes Cora through the looking glass
-Regina commissions Hook to kill Cora
-Cora commissions Hook to help her kill Regina
-Regina confesses her love to her mother
-Cora decides not to kill Regina
Regina attempts to use the horse heart for the curse. Rumpel yells at her
-She kills her father the curse is enacted
-Cora protects that part of FairyTale Land

~Somewhere between then she brought her father back with Jefferson

According to this quick timeline I’ve constructed why did Cora just nod at Regina when she walked by her with Henry? How did Cora know she was the Queen of Hearts? If Regina thought that Cora was already dead why would she have taken Henry? Did Cora take Henry because he wanted to lure Regina in but abandoned this plan after the revelation of Regina’s love?

I think I was hoping the Queen of Hearts would be someone else because since it is Cora it makes the rivalry between Regina and the Queen of Hearts a little less interesting, a little less contentious, especially knowing that Cora is Regina’s weakness. However, I don’t know if I really believed that, Regina despised her and continues to. And this episode proved that Henry is her weakness.

@Wendy: Isn’t it funny, Hook didn’t seem bad enough and Aurora seemed substanceless, at least the writers delivered on one of those characters!

I love Regina’s outfits in FairyTale Land!!!

I understood where Rumpel was coming from with the portal and he knows how to get to Regina, he was willing to sacrifice Emma and Snow for the benefit of everyone else, it’s an old philosophy, however I don’t think he was thinking it through. If the portal had killed Snow and Emma, Cora and Hook would have still made it through, in Rumpel’s mind the option of defeating Cora was for Snow and Emma to kill her and that didn’t seem possible so he took the measures he thought would benefit the town he owns. His motives were right but I think he underestimated Emma of all people. She is the product of true love, her powers are limitless in some ways.

I knew the squid ink was on the parchment but I immediately had a vision of Rumpel in a FairyTale Land version of The Shinning sitting in his cell writing on the parchment “All work and no play makes Johnny a dull boy.”

I was actually a little disappointed in Emma, she seemed so insecure in that cell, so ready to give up on everything, she’s been in jail before in a much worse situation, she looked sad in that scene when she found out she was pregnant but I always thought that was because of Neal and her heartbreak over his alleged betrayal. She seemed to come out of it with a lot of resolve. Maybe not believing in magic but when she got to Storybrooke she definitely worked vehemently against Regina and her formally wicked ways.

I like your theory about Maleficent. Granted like I previously mentioned I immediately thought of Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, simply because of the line “No one mourns her” but Maleficent seems more plausible…It’s definitely significant that she keeps coming up with Aurora being in the picture and the mystery behind Maleficent’s knowledge of how the curse is broken.

I really thought they would put Aurora’s life in more danger, it certainly seemed very easy but then again Regina and Rumpel were so lucky that Charming couldn’t prevent them from taking the diamonds he and the dwarves had worked so hard to find.

BEST LINE EVER!!! Hook has made many references like that, in his first episode “I’ve had many men’s wives.” His Pirate-y raunchiness(well raunchy for this show)has exceeded my expectations and only gotten better with each episode he’s in. I’d like to see Emma really fall for him and then Neal show up and for Neal and Hook to get into it after everyone punches him…This idea of punching has gotten so entertaining since Charming started the casual conversation with Whale by decking him…I just want to see it happen again and again, get out the angst, alleviate some of the sexual tension.

Isn’t that being a child? Henry has to have hope. His innocence and unconditional love won’t last forever, Regina is watching that and Regina knows that herself. It’s a parallel. Actually it’s more than that because Snow fits in there too. Snow loved Regina when she was young, trusted her, looked up to her. She was happy she was going to be her Step-Mother, of course Regina had no love for Snow after Daniel and you can only mistreat someone for so long before they realize it’s not their problem, it’s the person who is mistreating them’s problem. Regina was tired of her mother’s abuse and Henry was tired of Regina’s abuse.

Wonderland was taken but we did see Whale in FairyTale Land so it’s quite possible he was in need of something for his brother. He wants to get back to him because he was only partially successful but perhaps that’s also because he wasn’t with his brother when it happened…OOO!!! If he was only partially successful does that mean that his brother/monster is wandering around feeling abandoned?! This idea has just caused me so much glee!!!

They’re not connected for now. That’s why I think part of the third storyline is again going to be in the past with Snow, Charming and Co taking back the castle, kind of like how Cora and Hook are going to try and take apart Storybrooke. Also I want flashbacks, I want Charming’s name!!!

The question is what will Aurora and Mulan have to sacrifice to get Phillip…As Rumpel would say, everything has a price! And a brave soul like Phillip’s can’t come cheap…Is someone going to have to make a deal with the devil? ;-P

Hook is a trickster but he’s not ruthless(or heartless) he took Aurora’s heart for the leverage it added not to put someone else’s life in danger. Milah is definitely always on his mind but revenge certainly hardened his heart. The man can hold a grudge. He made Emma feel sooo guilty for leaving him with the giant. It is interesting because he’s trying to prove he’s not who Emma thinks he is, he’s on her turf now maybe she’ll convince him not to kill Rumpel.

Wouldn’t it be confusing if Emma and Hook ended up together if Henry is the son of Bae…If Bae is Neal? That is a complicated family tree. And also really awkward because that would mean Bae’s mom and girlfriend both fell for the same guy…Ew! Anyway, yes I noticed that about the sword fighting! It was like angry sex!

My heart broke for Regina too, especially after Emma thanked her. I didn’t expect there to be hugging but Henry should have held her hand tight and dragged her along. Like I already mentioned she should be celebrated! It was really disappointing on everyone’s part. That group is like the popular kids in elementary school, inviting Regina could have changed the whole game for her in Storybrooke. She can’t compete with Emma so it’s everyone else’s responsibility to include her. Regina has a lot of knowledge on Cora and I’m sure the gang won’t hesitate to ask her for help again when they need it. I wouldn’t blame her if we see that biting spite return.

Magic is different in Storybrooke, the bigger question for me is are there more diamonds? Will they be able to use fairy dust to help Sleepy? And what about the barrier spell, can and will it be broken? Can Cora and Hook go across the border?

For Charming and Snow I was scared he wouldn’t wake up for a second. I also expected Henry to try kissing him. It worked with Emma and Henry is Charming’s grandson. But it was cute! Snow’s apartment is going to be quite crowded now, perhaps if they were nice to Regina, Emma and Henry could have stayed there while Charming and Snow rediscovered each other!

That bean had bothered me! I knew it wasn’t a nothing point!!! Which perhaps proves that Jack’s skeleton isn’t a passing point either, I hope so!

I would love to see Regina included in the little girls club forming in Storybrooke, I’d actually like to see Emma support Regina more than anyone else. They both care for Henry very dearly and they are both lonely in Storybrooke, Emma having grown up in that world and Regina knowing who she is and being potentially hated for it. What Regina needs to do is maintain her composure and not lose herself and her control when she does come face to face with Cora again. Crumbling would be the worst thing ever.

This love is strength is a new idea, I wonder how that plays out since Emma is the only one to really prove that so far.

@Cawfee: I agree with the smacking around. It was very casual and at all addressed.

@April: Good point about Hook. However, this is a reimaging and the Hook we know doesn’t seem so ruthless or enjoy killing. I do want to know what happened between him an Peter and perhaps why Neverland wasn’t taken but Wonderland was…Unless Neverland was taken…Hmmm…Where is Peter now?! Is he in Storybrooke? Will he come between Rumpel and Hook? Is he an adolescent? Where are The Lost Boys and Wendy? Will Smee be happy to see Hook?

Wow! That’s a lot! So happy this is up! We have so much we could talk about when we’ve exhausted the episode!!! Here’s the short list of things to talk about while we wait:
    August
    August’s box
    Neal
    Charming’s real name
The favor Emma will carry out for Rumpel
Aurora’s past(Is her mother Briar Rose?)
    This Land of souls
    Cora’s heart
    The Wizard of Oz references

@Adventure I was thinking that Regina getting her father back from Wonderland happened a good bit earlier. Before she even started planning the curse. So she didn’t decide to kill Cora until she decided to use the curse. And it took her a couple of days to prepare the curse. So to me the timeline works out.

After thinking about it. I feel like almost 2 years at least had past before Regina enacts the curse. After Regina’s first murder attempt (The Huntsman) Snow is on the run for months. Murder attempt #2 is the apple, Charming saves Snow they’re on the run again for months, as they plan to take back the kingdom. Then by the time Regina plans the curse Snow is good and pregnant Emma, so that’s a good 9 months right there.

@Sagi: True the timeline could work out. However, it still doesn’t fit with the canon of Cora’s character. So Cora is still very much the Queen of Hearts when Regina retrieves her father. Yet, Regina is given very little obstacles to get to Henry and again the Queen just nods as Regina abandons Jefferson and strides out of the mirror. It is the nod that bothers me. Cora pretended to be dead so that she could take Regina’s heart. Why if she was still in Wonderland at that time and Regina knew it was her mother did Cora just let Regina go? One shout of “OFF WITH HER HEAD!” And Regina would have been at Cora’s mercy. So either way in my eyes it doesn’t seem to work out. I accept the fact that Cora is the Queen of Hearts (unlike how I cannot accept the fact that Jack the Giant Killer is dead). It just does not seem to work if Cora is the Queen at the time and if she isn’t what is Henry doing there? It’s the little things I have a problem with. I’m inclined to think the writers made a booboo but they’ve been so perfect with continuity I would be willing to give it a pass though I’m more inclined to consider the possibility that we’re missing a piece of the puzzle.

Speaking of that event when Regina and Jefferson take a little trip to Wonderland, I found this little nugget, while doing research for one of my papers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLna8v7nvUY the majority of it isn’t overly information…However, toward the end one of the writers hints at the room of doors and the possible realms behind those doors. This is another thing we can discuss, while we wait! And if my ears didn’t deceive me I believe I heard a reference to a glass elevator…Does this mean we’re getting some Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? Jefferson could totally be Wonka, funny how similar these mad people in literature are, don’t you think?

Cora didn’t want Regina dead until she find out Regina wanted her dead. I think she loves Regina like Regina loves her. The only thing they disagreed on was the direction of Regina’s life. And Jefferson is the only who met with the Queen in Wonderland, cause of Regina trapping. Cora only knew that Regina had been there. And I don’t think she was mad, just irritated. Cora, to me, seems kind of powered of Regina she basically became what Cora wanted her to, for the most part.

April: Apparantly, WDW is going to get Cars Land over at Hollywood Studios in the next few years. So jealous it was the one thing we had going in California! Aside from being the only park Walt walked in.

Thank you for the Dragon video! So cool!

Adventure: I think Cora nodded (and still chased her out) because she wanted to see how Regina got there and back. Cora was trapped. Then later when Hook comes back Cora has figured how how it works but still can’t leave. Cora probably took over Wonderland, which we will most likely see in another flashback episode. My big guess is she gained all her guards by taking their hearts. Like most things I believe Henry SR. was just a pawn for Cora, she was interested to see just what Regina would do.

I don’t think Henry (jr.) is Regina’s weakness but her biggest strength. He constantly encourages her and realizes that she’s really trying for him and she really can be good. He helps her see that in herself

Emma’s insecurity this season is like her doubt last season. Its really nagging and is rather annoying. I don’t want her to be like Snow or Henry but she’s suppose to be a kind of a badass and is down on herself a lot.

Mal’s the only fairy I can think of that wouldn’t be mourned and is relevant to the story.

Henry is far more than just a child, he’s the grandchild of Snow White and Charming and has their everlasting hope for good and true things. Not just kid naivete. And I think Snow knows too that Regina is not all bad and she needs help to see the light. Snow is far too good to ever completely turn her back on someone who is sincerely trying to be better.

I don’t think we’ll have two flashback threads. That would be far too confusing. The third thread will most likely still be Aurora and Mulan and they’re going to have to tie it in somehow. I like the idea of them searching for Cora’s heart and maybe world hopping?

I know Regina needs to do a lot to be accepted into the group but even a \Do you want to come?\ to which Regina could politely say \No\ knowing it was an out reach of kindness but….*sigh* We’ll see. I really like Regina’s Magics Anonymous progress.

There may be more diamonds deeper down but it’s going to take time to find them. I don’t know if they’ll be able to help sleepy until the entire curse is done and I don’t think the barrier spell will fall. Its what is constraining the show. And I doubt Cora and Hook can leave but I also think they don’t want to leave, they only came for the people in Storybrooke Maine.

I really want to go to Maine now.

Emma has a hard time forgiving people but she also knows the guilt Regina is feeling about failing Henry and wanting to do better by him. I think she and Regina will form an unlikely frenemy bond with each other.

Cheryl: Good thinking, Maybe Lancelot gave it to her when she went with Phillip on his quest

@Wendy: Hmmm, Cora was trapped but Jefferson had been to Wonderland before we know this because he says “I hate Wonderland” and looks positively miserable. You would think Cora would have just taken him and asked him how to leave. If anyone, Jefferson would know, he’s a portal jumper. Speaking of Jefferson I wonder if he went to Wonderland that first time for Rumpel, I want to see more of them!

I’m not saying I don’t buy Cora as the Queen of Hearts I’m merely citing a possible inconsistency. Being disappointed is one thing, I’m over it, but I feel like part of what mad the Red Queen so intriguing was not just her being fully covered but also that Regina and the Queen seemed to have a bit of a problem. Regina knew her mother was the Queen of Hearts, how she knew we don’t know yet and is directly related to the Cora taking over Wonderland flashbacks. Regina pushed her in, you would think she would fear retaliation and therein lies the inconsistency.

Wouldn’t it just be fantastic if she won Wonderland by playing croquet with the White Queen(Is there a White Queen?!) and then just started shouting about the white roses!!! Oh I would LOVE that!

Henry Sr. absolutely was a pawn just as Regina was also a pawn for Cora. I agree that her father was taken to Wonderland just to get Regina there but again the nod, the acknowledgement between the two of them, I feel like it’s not within the realm of Cora’s power to be so civil without being conniving at the same time.

Henry is Regina’s strength but if Cora goes after Henry Regina is going to find herself between a rock and a hard place, I foresee us getting a scene with Regina in a very bad situation where she considers sacrificing herself because she’s certainly feeling like no one would miss her, but Regina is too dynamic to lose so that selfless idea should get her out of the situation in some way. The weakness comes in because Henry is easy prey…Regina will lose herself in a tough situation, we saw that in the season one finale…Actually Henry in danger creates a great dynamic, Regin eon’t use magic but then we’ll get to see Emma use her magic!!! I wonder how that will change her.

Someone bring in August to give Emma a pep talk again this time to make her believe in herself! I don’t want Emma to be like Snow or Henry, she can be cynical, enough has happened in her life to warrant being cynical but she doesn’t have to be self-deprecating and just so…IDK…Great heroes do that kind of thing all the time, I think it’s old, we know she’s flawed but she’s also very strong willed, where is that strong will now? Why doesn’t think if herself as more than a pawn? I mean okay there’s no need to go shouting on the rooftops about being the mother fucking savior or Storybrooke but she could give herself a pat on the back once in a while. Then again, Emma is still feeling a little lost…Too bad Graham is gone she was just starting to believe in love again…WAHHHHHH GRAHAM!!!

I think they’ll have room for a third flashback thread, Cora’s/Hook’s and the Storybrooke gang’s storyline are fast approaching each other. They’ll all be together among the havoc that will likely ensue while Mulan and Aurora pretend they don’t have the hots for each other. That leaves a few opportunities for flashbacks, which we have been seriously lacking this season!

I don’t know if Aurora and Mulan will portal jump, they’re going to have to come across Cora’s heart or a clue all on their own, Hook is the only one that we know of that knows Cora doesn’t keep it in her chest cavity area. I’m sorry but I have to mention the connection between hearts and souls and bring up Davy Jones! I know he’s in the Pirates movie but he keeps his heart in a chest and he has to ferrie souls between worlds, perhaps it’s something to that effect that allows Mulan and Aurora to come across Cora’s heart. I’m trying to remember tales about Netherworlds that aren’t Hercules.

I wonder why Rumpel felt the need to mention that the wand belonged to a dead fairy that no one mourns, does it matter if the wand is used by a good fairy or a bad fairy?! Regina was friends, well sort of, with Maleficent you would think she would have feelings in regards to her death. And yet it seems much more plausible than my theory and far more relevant.

Speaking of relevant Regina mentioned something about a little mermaid in the first episode with Belle, when are we going to meet Ariel already?!

Snow would have to see Regina trying for herself, she ran off to kiss her hubby while Emma thanked Regina, awkwardly. But I agree Snow wouldn’t turn her back on Regina. Henry can be a little naive, he initially bought Regina’s lie. But his hope in Emma buoyed her throughout all of last season. I think my favorite thing about Henry is his ability to talk to everyone. He and Archie had a nice chat trapped in the mine that time and even getting Jefferson to go find Grace. It’s more than seeing the good, it’s creating it. Poor kid grew up while everyone else stayed frozen. Rumpel and Henry are developing a special bond this season because of Rumpel’s tenderness and their frequent scenes together since the dreams. It’s nice. I would love to see Rumpel and Henry work together in some way, I wonder if Rumpel would risk his life for Henry also…Hmmm…

Oh! Do you think Regina will have some magical backup or malfunction from absorbing the icky green light?

Regina needs a friend and not Rumpel who just antagonizes her at every opportunity. She lost Henry and Daniel all over again. I feel so bad for her loneliness! Whale won’t even sleep with her because she can’t get home back to his brother!!! Who’s going to hold her when she really breaks down and cries?! Not Mommy dearest, Cora is worse than Rumpel!

Hook obviously isn’t going to kill Rumpel, I wonder what the sequence of events are that he doesn’t or are they just going to keep up the shenanigans until the season finale and end on a huge cliff hanger?! I feel like they can’t because Emma and Hook can’t make out until he’s not cohoots with Cora. I’m not sure Emma would allow him to kill Rumpel anyway, but even if by some weird chance he were too that’s not exactly going to sweep Emma off her feet.

If Cora and Hook can’t leave I wonder what happens if they push them over the barrier?! ThT should be attack plan numero uno! Who wants to hedge bets on who Cora takes with her at the last second if they do that?!

@Adventure:Cora did ask Jefferson how he got to Wonderland. After Regina trapped him in Wonderland Cora captured him. He told her about his hat and that Regina had taken it. So she locked him up and forces him to try to make a new one.

Adventure: I forgot to mention I watched the video you posted. And it led me to watching several videos from a panel interview that took place during the middle of season 1. And the cast was asked if they could be another character on the show who would it be. Josh Dallas misunderstood the question and thought they were just talking about fairy tales characters in general. And said he would want to be Jack from Jack and the Beanstalk.

Oh and one of the theories that was floating around about August’s identity, was that he was future Henry. I don’t think that theory occurred to any of us. We need to start to getting more creative it seems.

If you go clear back to about the fourth or fifth episode last season. The one about Cinderella. The Stepmother and Stepsisters were heading out for the ball. About that time Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother shows up. Then she blows up leaving behind her Magic Wand. In which Rumpty Dumpty quickly grabs for his very own. I believe this to be the same Magic Wand used in this episode. I have been wrong before but this time I think I am spot on. There ya go. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everybody who believes that way. For everybody else, Happy whatever it is ya believe. For those who don’t believe in any of this nonsense. Get Happy, it wont kill ya for a day or so!!!

@PottyMouth: As always, your recap was great (and the Princess Bride references make me very, very happy). I love the debate that ensues on this board afterward…

It is a long while until the next episode but I will survive – Christmas and New Years will keep me plenty busy. And I can always watch old episodes and read old recaps to keep in the loop.

Good thought about Excalibur being Mulan’s sword. I think you might be right. Makes sense.

@Sagi: Riiighhhttt!!! And Jefferson wasn’t right in the noodle because he wanted to get back to Grace and the Queen had cut of his head…Okay things are making more sense to me, this is why I come here! I want to rematch that episode with my new knowledge, when finals are done. I was just worried there was an inconsistency, glad to realize continuity was maintained. Bet Rumpel regrets teaching Cora the heart trick!

Sorry I sent you on a YouTube chase, I was looking for a clip for a project and was so happy when I heard that thing about the room of realms but I’m glad you came back with some interesting bit to share…However, did you just poke a gaping hole in my Jack theory?! I might cry, I feel personally betrayed by Josh right now…Though perhaps he was just being coy… He is a Charming guy and ridiculously good looking! I shall hold out hope because the other option is flounder around with who he could possibly be and why his name is David Nolan!

I happened to think August was a Lost Boy or Peter all grown up, of course it began to become very clear that he was in fact Pinniccho but older Henry?! Really?! There’s a difference between theories that take a logic turn and the absurd. We got pretty creative with Whale, though.

@Mike Hunt: We’ve seen Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother’s wand a few times. She was mourned, we assume by Cinderella that is why it seems to us the wand belongs to another fairy and with Aurora in the picture it makes sense there would be a connection. However, we have been known to dig too deeply and since this seen is full of the expected being the unexpected perhaps it is Cinderella’s fairy Godmother’s wand. Does this mean we’ll get to them again soon?! Things are not brought up for no reason in OUAT, the dead bean is evidence of that!

@Pikey: Reading old recaps is a lot of fun!

@April: I keep forgetting to mention that I love the idea of the sword being Excalibur, especially if it means we get Lanelot in a flashback! He was awesome! I’m not sure I want OUAT to delve into the whole Arthur thing, that can get very complicated. Eric better be a hottie, though the show has yet to fail in that regard.

I also want more information on this Princess Katerina!

Do you think we’ll see Rapunzel?

And where is Emma’s jacket?! Aurora better give it back!

Adventure: I doubt anyone could catch Jefferson. The only reason Cora finally caught him was the fact that Regina left him there. He’s very good at vanishing and getting away, I bet Cora was annoyed for months or maybe even years trying to catch him. Probably why he hated Wonderland so much, constantly on his guard.

I don’t know if Regina knew her mother was the Queen of Hearts until her Dad went missing (and we don’t know how that happened) I’m going to guess Cora could use the Looking Glass and pulled him through, or lured him cause Henry Sr. did love his wife but she is trapped. Regina doesn’t have to worry about Cora escaping even with her new found Army cause Cora has no way to jump worlds. She’s harmless to anyone not in Wonderland. The reason she decided to let Regina take her father back is twofold. Henry Sr. probably told her about the curse and she wanted to see what would happen and Cora knew from seeing Jefferson come and go, that if Regina was taking Henry Sr. then she was leaving Jefferson behind and Jefferson IS a portal jumper, that’s why Cora sentenced him to make another magic hat. She gave up chasing Regina and Henry Sr. because she was getting Jefferson in return and potentially a way out. Unfortunately Jefferson couldn’t do it and went mad, so Cora had to wait again until Hook came along.

The White Queen is from Through the Looking glass, not Alice in Wonderland and the Queen of Hearts doesn’t exist, she’s called the Red Queen. In TTLG the entire world is a chessboard and Alice becomes queen by crossing the board to the other side. However the classic Disney movie blended both the books together taking and leaving out elements from both. Tweedle Dee and Dum are from Looking Glass while the White Rabbit is from Adventures in Wonderland and so on down the list. So they could blend and use the White Queen as the kind peaceful ruler who Cora decides to overthrow. Cora would do that.

I’d like to see Emma go to Regina to ask about magic when Cora shows up. While she doesn’t really trust Regina she knows Regina would never, ever hurt Henry and she’d do anything to protect him from Cora. If Regina can teach Emma to use her powers, they can play off each other. I think they’re going to form that frenemy bond I mentioned earlier. They still wont fully get along and they’ll butt heads and make threats a lot but they’ll find common ground and realize they both are very similar.

I just wish Emma would get out of her doldrums about Henry. Thats whats been dragging her down, her compounding guilt. But Henry is fine and he’s learning to stay out of the flame room and he’s got everyone watching out for him, even Gold. Hopefully being back by Henry and seeing he’s doing okay is going to bring her back to her normal self. She can’t pity party when Henry will tell her not to.

I can’t see two flashback threads. It would be far too confusing. The threads we have currently are Storybrooke, Present Day Fairytale Land and Past Fairytale Land(or past in general with Tallahasse). If we had two flashback threads it’d be confusing, at least I think so. Unless they’re condensing back down to two threads but both Mulan and Aurora are cast regulars now aren’t they? I doubt we’d just drop them and not hear from them again when they’ve been so prominent in the season.

There’s still the flame room where Snow, Henry, Charming and Aurora can go to, to communicate and I wonder if Emma wont find a way with her magic to communicate. I really think the key to defeating the Queen of Hearts is her own heart and that’s in Fairytale land. Mulan and Aurora are going to have to find it along with whoever else they meet. This is really random but, wouldn’t it be cool to see Robin Hood? Fox or not :P Hell in greek mythology is a multi layered place. You pay Charon to ferry you across the river Stix and then make your way past Cereberus. There are typically two areas of Hades for the undead, the fields which is for people who were good in their lives, and Tartarus, for those who were bad. Thats a basic rundown.

Well if no one’s mourning the fairy, I’d think it’d be a bad fairy. Aurora would mourn Flora, Fauna and Merryweather, Cinderella obviously mourned her Fairy Godmother who was killed, the Blue Fairy and Nova are still alive and I’m still WAITING for my NovaxGrumpy reunion. I don’t think she and Mal were really friends. They just used each other for magic spells and little pats on the back for being evil. Plus, Elphaba wasn’t a fairy, she was a witch. I can’t wait till we finally get to see Oz. Wouldn’t it be cool if they got Idina Menzel to play her???

I don’t know if we’re getting Ariel this season, there’s been talks about it but with all the Oz references, I think Oz is more likely now. We don’t know what Regina did to Ariel (and does that mean that Regina is Ursula?) or if it was needed for the curse or just her enjoying spoiling everyones unhappiness!

Henry reminds Rumpy a lot of Bae, I can see it, which is why I’m so dead on for Bae being Henry’s dad despite whats been said. But he feels that connected to Henry and is trying to do better by him and his own son when Henry needs him. Rumpy’s my favorite bad-not really bad guy. I wouldn’t doubt that when it came down to it, Rumpy would risk a lot to keep Henry safe.

I think she’s magically super charged from absorbing all the raw magic. And it’s going to be hard for her to control it and use it only for the right reasons.

I think Regina will find someone along the line and I think Henry will be there for her a lot in the next half. She’s taken steps to show she’s changing and he really believes in her. Plus Archie is there to listen to her about her magic use and issues. I think if Snow and especially Charming who has really seen her start changing and worked with her to get Snow and Emma home will stand up for Regina and support her.

Rump’s not going to die ’cause I’ll kill hook if he does. Or Belle will. Belle wont be happy to see hook, another person who deserves to give hook a good punch. I think shenanigans are going to be the last half. Cora and Hook arriving, our team grouping together, Cora taking hearts, Neal showing up, and then a big battle towards the end. I have a feeling its going to lead to, too much magic being in our world and it causing the rifts between worlds to break down which would be very bad.

They’d probably just have their minds of fairytaleland wiped, so they’d be blank and amnesiac instead of reverting to their old self.

SagKim: Future Henry is bending the rules of time and getting to sci-fi-y for my liking. I’m glad he turned out as pinno but I would have loved to see him as Bae. I’m just fixated on Bae.

Mike Hunt & Pikey: The problem I have with that is that obviously Cinderella mourned her Fairy Godmother when she was trapped by Rumpy in the end. If only her fairy godmother hadn’t been killed she’d never have lost her husband originally and since she was a good fairy, I’m sure the Blue Fairy and Nova + the others mourned her as well.

April: Yes! And it better be really really red, not auburn, not some somewhat natural hue. It’s gotta be BAM red. I had my hair \mermaid\ red for a year, my friends joked and called me Ariel cause it matched the Ariel barbie doll exactly.

@Wendy: Jefferson hated Wonderland because hookah smoking caterpillars asked inquisitive questions while blowing smoke rings. Where is that caterpillar now?! But you’re right, Wonderland was dangerous for a portal jumper like Jefferson with Cora around…I wonder who Grace’s mother is! And I want to see Alice and Cora interact!

You bring up an excellent point about Cora being trapped. Magic works differently in Storybrooke perhaps it works differently in Wonderland too. Otherwise, I feel like Cora would have used magic to keep Regina there.

I combined both books because I was thinking that since Disney did the movie they own the rights to both. I feel like Cora came to Wonderland and definitely and took over. Perhaps Alice was already the White Queen and she killed her? Oh no!!!

That would be so fantastic if Emma lets Regina teach her magic.

I’m kind if thinking that by absorbing the magic the malfunction could be related to her mood. Like she’s just a ticking bomb and all that back up is going to come out, could be useful against Cora but I have a feeling it’s damaging Regina in some way. I hope she continues to get opportunities to be heroic! I like this side of her, I like the evil side if her too but if she has to earn that invite to dinner, well then damn it she better be nice because she deserves a little loving!

Emma is going to do fine until Neal strides across the border. It looks bad now with Cora and Hook sailing through but Seeing Neal is either go to spur Emma on or break her. I wonder what he’ll do!!!

So I just realized, you mention that others tag along for this journey. That would explain Princess Katerina. Wonder how they meet and how she’ll help.

Last season Disney couldn’t get the rights to Robin Hood, I have no idea if that has changed.

I know in Greek mythology there are many layers, I was trying to think of other lands of souls outside of Greek mythology. I’ll have to browse some tales during the break.

True witches haven’t really been tackled yet. They’re making a movie of Wicked, Idina has said she’s too old to be Elphaba, Glinda better not be far behind.

We are getting Ariel this season! The writers have said they are reimaging the tale but she’s coming!

OMG Regina as Ursula…Yes!!! That would be awesome.

At the end of the episode they showed a bunch of clips hinting at the next half of the season. Most of it were clips from this season but Rumpel does say he wants to find his son, we’ve heard him say this of course but it was a pretty prominent part of the clip, that’s certainly going to come into play…Questions will be answered! That would make sense if Neal is Bae and he waltzes into Storybrooke and something almost happens to him because of Cora and/or Hook…Rumpel has an opportunity to do right by Henry and it’s nice to see him trying. Belle should be around when they interact, it would melt her!

Charming will stand up for Regina. He stood up for Red and he isn’t going to do what he did to Snow…Perhaps the moment was too soon for Regina. Everyone needs to be reintroduced to her and Charming can certainly lead the way in that regard…Where is King George?!

Ooo a magical melting pot of realms…That changes all the rules!!!

I feel like Cora would destroy the barrier spell by stepping over but it would destroy her, her heart isn’t in this world…Graham’s heart was in Regina’s fault. Could she really survive that way?!

And we’ve had storylines in the past and present and it wasn’t confusing. The episode left FairyTale Land much to the wayside but when we met Lancelot there was the flashbacks and there was real time. It’ll be the same thing. We’ll see a little bit of FairyTale Land a little flashback and of course Storybrooke. We’ve said before that one storyline always gets a little less attention, I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see a whole lot of Aurora and Mulan for a while.

Adventure: Don’t apologize, I knew what I was getting myself into. I love hearing behind the scenes stuff for my favorite shows and movies. I’m one of the people DVD extras and commentaries were made for. And there was a lot of good stuff, I’ll share some more in a minute, you could tell the cast really love the show and working with each other.

The Ariel thing came up during the interview. Lana Parrilla asked if Regina could be Ursula and Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz seemed to think it was a really good idea.

The writers really do like torturing us. Whenever a questions about upcoming episodes or ones about this season came up, they were passed on to Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz. And they gave the most convoluted answers possible. They were clearly enjoying torturing the interviewer and audience.

Rumpy’s make up takes an hour to put on and take off. And his boots take, I think it was, 20 minutes to lace up. Robert Carlyle’s accent is really thick, it’s awesome.

It really was snowing during, Snow’s awakening scene. They had to CGI the coffin lid because the real one kept fogging up, so they had to remove it. Edward Kitsis said he thought Ginnifer Goodwin was going to go all diva on him. But when he asked if she was okay, she replied that the whole thing was “fucking awesome.”

Jennifer Morrison acknowledge that Jamie Dornan (The Huntsman) is one of the hottest men on the planet. How you ever thought of how Graham is the perfect name for The Huntsman? I mean graham crackers are yummy and delicious and he’s yummy and delicious.

That’s all I can remember right now. If I remember something else good I’ll post it. Now I’m off to get my crap together for finals. Would anyone here like to write a 4 page paper in French for me? …..Yeah, I thought not.

@Sagi: I’ve heard some interviews with the writers and they are so cruel!!! I think they get more joy out of torturing us than actually writing it…Interesting that the Lana proposed that idea of Ursula, I would love to see it though! If they do that does that mean they took into account Josh and his wish to be Jack?!!! :-)

Four page paper IN French, yikes!

    Adventure:
I wondered if Alice was Grace’s mom, I know we’ve all talked about it and Alice was originally an 8 year old girl but if they are blending both stories and say Alice was Queen Alice she could have grown up in Wonderland by the time Jefferson came along. Or not, never know, she could be completely unrelated but we do know she’s dead. But then if she was Grace’s mom how did Jefferson get Grace out of Wonderland. Will we get an alice? Can we please have an Alice!

If Cora could have busted out, you know she would have in an instant. I have a feeling once she was informed of Jefferson slipping about and then when she saw Regina show up, she knew there was a way in and out. Then when Regina leaves Jefferson he probably was interrogated and then sentenced to make the hat, when that didn’t work, she waited. Luckily ol’ Hooky Wooky showed up.

I like the idea of Cora taking over Wonderland via the death of the White Queen and I wonder what tricks she learned while there and just how long she was there.

I think it’d be really beneficial for both Emma and Regina for Regina to teach Emma!!

I think the rehabilitation much like the rehabilitation of Rump is really fascinating and adds such a depth. I cannot wait to see the struggles she’s going to face balancing her magical rehab and the arrival of her mother. Not to mention her uneasy steps into getting the town to trust her and come to know her as friend.

Right now Neal is a sore spot. I just cannot figure out what part he’s going to play in the rest of the story and if he’s Bae. But I did have a thought, what if when Bae went to the land without magic he lost his memories? Thats why he was kind of a transient, Neal I mean. But it looked like he cleaned himself up and got himself going with his life…?

I want to know what story Princess Katerina will be from!

The only other myth based land of the dead I know is Valhalla but thats for heroes. Ooooo I’d love to see some Valkyries!

IDINA DONT BREAK MY HEART *sob* you are the only Elphaba! Ugh, if Lea Michelle gets the role, I’ll be so annoyed.

YAY ARIEL! She’s my favoooorrriiitttteee! Then Belle, then Snow White.

I was just thinking, when Regina said \I need to deal with a pesky mermaid\ it made me think of the deal Ursula makes and how Ursula has to go and stop Eric and Ariel from falling in love by becoming Vanessa. I could see Regina either becoming a octopus-like mermaid to go down to the sea kingdom to get something (like Ariels voice) and then going off in her normal form and attempting to stop Ariel and Eric from falling in love. It would help tie things together more! I love that Lana said she wanted Regina to be Ursula! I didn’t know that!!!

Rumpy always melts my heart but thats just me! Heh!

I missed the clip thing at the end…I watched online and normally they play it but they didn’t.

I hope Charming does! He really got to see improving Regina! You SO know Adventure that King George is going to try and team up with Cora!!!!!!

Its a possibility to the consequence of having magic in a no magical realm!

You’ve made an interesting point, what happens if you’re in a world where your heart isn’t?!

Oh, Past and Present wasn’t what was confusing! I thought you were saying that the threads would be Past FT, Past FT and Present SB instead of how it is currently where we get Past FT, Present FT and Present SB. I was saying if we had two past Fairytale threads it could get confusing. But yes, one of the three in each episode always gets a little less depending on the episode, but considering one of the threads is Present FT I think we’ll see them but it may be the short thread for most episodes which means more focus on Present SB and Past FT.

Sagi: Oh I hope Regina is Ursula! It’d be so cool!

Kitsis and Horowitz are evil, evil guys. They’re very good at giving vague answers for everything. There was an interview with them in one of my D23 magazines and they would basically talk about everything that wasn’t the actual answer to the question!

Oh wow, an hour JUST to put the boots on? That’s insane!

Yeahhhhh Jamie Dornan….damn. Just damn. Why did they kill him -_-

    French? Nope. Sorry, Can’t help!

I have a feeling that the writers are holding out on us on Charming’s name just to torture Adventure. yep, it’s the soul reason :P

@Wendy: I don’t want Alice to be dead, but I kind of want her to be Grace’s mother and we can’t have both potentially…I feel like Alice is grown up.

Cora is lucky that Hook is a pirate and had his own revenge plans because otherwise he wouldn’t have been persuaded and he’d be dead and Cora probably would have killed Regina.

I think nothing really happened in Wonderland, it was a wonky place and Cora had to maintain her sanity probably by playing croquet and shuffling a deck if cards. Oh and sending the white rabbit on errands.

Emma needs a mentor, Regina has got time. Regina would also teach Emma how to roll things off her back, break up the pity parties forever. Emma can’t harden her heart I feel like that would interfere with her magic.

Regina now has every opportunity to help Storybrooke against Cora! They’ll certainly pretend to appreciate Regina when it’s known that Cora is around. Poor Unfortunate Souls!

I wondered that about Neal, does that mean entering Storybrooke and getting a little fairy dust sprinkled on him he’ll be fixed him? Emma is going to need some convincing! If nothing else Emma and Charming get bonding time and Henry and Neal will meet, it’s like a parallel father/child reunion.

The name Katerina doesn’t ring a bell but I’m excited to meet her.

Right Valhalla but Phillip wasn’t a hero, that’s okay I’m totally okay with Hades!

Ugh Lea Michele…I may or may not have heard rumors to that effect but I hope they pick an unknown actor, it’ll be intolerable if it’s her.

I don’t think it needs to be that complicated, at that point Regina’s reputation preceded her. I’m sure Rumpel is involved in some way, Ursula did everything for a price.

Rumpel melts my heart too, I want him to find Bae so badly all ready!

I assure you, you didn’t miss anything in the collection of clips at the end of the episode it wasn’t like some sneak preview but more like an overview of what’s to come. One of the next episodes is called “The Outsider”…I hope it’s got Neal in it!!!

Ew King George and Cora…I feel like she wouldn’t tolerate him very long, I would like him so much more if he would just announce who Charming is to all if Storybrooke and then for Charming to set the story straight.

It can be assumed that if one were to get a hold of Cora’s heart and squeeze it to dust she would die in Storybrooke. However, if she crosses over the boundary and ceases to be magical I imagine the lack of her heart being nearby would have an effect on her. Look at what happened to Graham and he was close to his heart. I feel like Cora’s heart is full of cobwebs and stuff because she never uses it.

I see why you were confused. I feel like Aurora’s and Mulan’s thread has the potential for tons of cliffhangers, I’m sure they’ll stress us out.

I wonder why they killed off Jamie ALL THE TIME!!!

Ah, ha! I KNEW IT!!! Who have you been speaking to Wendy? What did they say?! Did they give reasons?! Why are they trying to aggravate me, I’ve gotten so many people into the show, they should thank me by telling me. Have Josh ring my doorbell, I’ll get the answers I need out of him ;-)

I feel like we should all go and bombard him on Twitter…Be all Wonderland caterpillar-like “Who ARE you?!”

On a side note, I have decided that Henry should hang out with Christopher Robin!!! Can we get a Hundred Acre Woods, please?!

Cute, yes???

@Cawfee: That’s a cute story, I hope they use it

In other news episode 13 is called “Tiny”…Wonder what that’s about, my first thought is Tink.

This Sunday! Just a few more days Gasmii! We’re almost there! We made it through the long awful break.

@hot cawfee: The pacing was weird and some shots were odd. It’s hard to get over the fact that Russell Crowe is in a musical. But it was really good. I’ve never seen the musical and I haven’t read the book, so for my first Les Miz experience, I was happy with it. I would love to see it live. Anne Hathaway will have you bawling like a baby during I Dreamed a Dream. I bought the movie cd, I’ll think I’ll by the broadway one next to see what songs the movie cut out.

The Show is on tonight– three episodes from 8pm to 11 pm and on Sunday at 7pm and of course at 8pm we get our new episode!!!!!!! I am a little too excited

@44 Sagi— I thought he was an odd choice too for a musical. If you have a chance on PBS there are live versions of B’way musicals from time to time–I saw “South Pacific” with Reba McIntyre and Alec Baldwin and “Les Mis” with Joe Jonas in a 25th Anniversary showing–it was awesome–I sang and sobbed thru out.

Hiiii!!! I am elastic for Sunday!!! Happy New Year, gasmi friends, hope everyone had an enjoyable break.

@Cawfee: I feel like it might be Archie too…Probably because the episode is titled The Cricket Game and it fits with the “beloved fairy tale character” description.

@Sagi: OMG there was one video that made me gasp and cheer at the same time!

I also bring you all some presents! First here is an interview that our dearest Charming did with TVline, I would just like to highlight this question and answer:
TVLINE | We still don’t know Charming’s real name. Didn’t [series creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis] say we’d find it out this season?
Josh: We will find out. We will find out. It’s surprising what it is. It’s surprising and it’s obvious… which is weird!

So I’m still totally right! What else could be obvious and surprising?!

There’s also another interview from The Hollywood Reporter circulating to really get you in the mood of frustration with what’s to come in the next part of season 2

In other news who spent the break getting completely caught up on Doctor Who and recognized Josh Dallas’ face in a season 4 episode? This girl!

Les Mis was phenomenal! The only thing was Russell Crowe. I know all the singing was done live as opposed to being prerecorded but if they wanted Russell Crowe’s name they really should have dubbed his voice.

There was sneak peek of tomorrow’s episode on OUAT’s facebook page. It showed Red and Emma finding Archie on the floor of his office. We see Emma check his pulse, but his hard to tell if he’s actually dead based on the reactions.

Sagi: I saw that clip, I didn’t want to spoil anything for anyone who didn’t want to watch, I also saw a flashback clip with Regina and Snow but my favorite and the I was talking about is with everyone celebrating Emma’s and Snow’s return and Emma does something really really cool! Something we’ve been discussing!

And question– watched the episodes last night and — Emma has a tat on her right inner wrist of a flower???/ Saw it when she had the watch on—-did we ever discuss?????

Am very excited– got my wine and pint glass at the ready–ad my notebook and pen.squeeeeeee

OH– and there is an episode of How I Met Your Mother with our Emma as Ted’s gf Zoe. The episode has her at a party or bar playing a game with Hurley (the Giant) anf she is tossing peanuts into what looks like Jefferson’s hat—-incredibly funny.

Seriously I don’t give my shows enough credit, just when I was thinking they were lacking on the emotion and the adventure and that this premiere was a dud they go and do THAT!!! It’s good to back in Storybrooke!

@Cawfee: We have not discussed this tattoo, how intriguing!
And I love How I Met Your Mother! I watched an episode with Zoe but I don’t think it was the one you were talking about, that’s really funny!

@Sagi: I vote Charming(despite the fact that I acknowledge how bias I am in that regard) that line in the beginning about Emma was worth the fact that we didn’t get a good shot of his chest
