He then whips out the old dried up magic bean necklace the giant was wearing, saying a pirate always keeps a souvenir of his conquests. Huh. That giant didn’t seem like he’d be into dudes, but I guess you never know!
But the necklace is much more than a mere trinket; it’s a symbol of something that was once magical and full of hope and possibility, but now it’s dried up, dead, useless….like Cora’s womb.
Please. If I wanted a baby I’d magic one up.
The time for deals is done, Hook tells Emma, much like he is done with her. And off he goes with Cora.
Over in StoryBrooke, Grumpy and Red have discovered the diamond theft while Henry continues to read to Charming while he’s stuck in slumber. They rush over to tell Henry and to try and find out where Regina and Rumpy are (how do they know who stole the magic? Are they just assuming that it was the two known evil people in town?); Henry is sad to discover that Regina may have lied to him.
Henry’s sad face
No time to wallow in misery and betrayal! They need to find them! They need to stop them! They need to help Emma and Snow!!
Well, they sure do need some kind of help because they are not getting out of that cell any time soon. Everyone starts playing the blame game again because, really…..what’s more fun when you’ve got this much time on your hands?
Snow sits next to her daughter and says they’re totally going to win this. You know why? Because good always defeats evil. Emma thinks Snow sounds like Henry. Well, optimism must run in the family.
Obviously it skipped a generation
Snow thinks Emma should know better than anyone; she’s the one that broke the curse. Emma lists off her failures since then saying the only reason she ever broke the curse is because it was exactly what Rumpy wanted her to do. Oh, come on, Emma! Give yourself a little credit!!
Emma thinks that maybe that’s all she was ever meant to do, play a role in Rumpy’s show. She’s not powerful, Emma says, she’s not the savior; she’s a name on a piece of paper. She’s a pawn which is why they’re stuck in the cell while Cora is on her way to StoryBrooke.
Speaking of Cora….she is indeed headed to StoryBrooke. But first, they need to find a way to revive the ashes. Good thing there’s a lake nearby that restores things that were lost!
Forgive my ignorance, but doesn’t a lake have, I dunno….WATER in it?????
Why yes, yes it does.
