Hook’s not thrilled to hear about the 28 years part, but Cora says he won’t even know it’s gone by because he’ll be frozen like everyone else. Then, once the curse is broken (way to believe in your kid, Cora!) she’ll travel to Regina in her time of need and Hook can tag along and kill Rumpy.
In StoryBrooke, Regina and Rumpy are walking through the woods, making their way to the well. Rumpy just knows this is where they’ll be coming through. This is where things once lost are returned. Sure enough, the water is already bubbling.
Wait a schminute! Something about all Emma’s talk of scrolls and pawns and Rumpy clicks and she suddenly realizes that the scroll of a million Emmas was written in magic squid ink!!! Whatevs. It’s not like it’s going to magically open the door for them.
It does. Now they can go after Cora and Hook! Not Aurora though. She says she’s staying behind so that Cora can’t use her against them again. She’s still susceptible as long as Cora has her heart. Well then, Mulan will get it back for her. She ties Aurora up and they head off.
Over at the Lake, Cora is ready to add some magic wardrobe portal ashes into the mix, but suddenly the gals arrive!! How did they know Cora would go there? How long did Cora and Hook spend standing around staring at the water geyser? Why do I expect everything to make sense on this show?
Meanwhile in the forest of StoryBrooke, Regina and Rumpy have pulled down some super neon green magic and thrown it into the well.
Emma fights Hook while Snow and Mulan take on Cora; Mulan’s sword deflects Cora’s magic which is helpful in this sort of circumstance. Hook and Emma are really going at it and seem to be pretty evenly matched.
Hook manages to disarm Emma and she charges him; he picks her up and throws her to the ground. Mulan is super close to stabbing Cora when she uses magic to escape the stab and send Aurora’s heart sailing off into the sky and toward the portal.
Interestingly, Hook saves the heart and tosses it to Mulan. She is so outta there now. But she leaves Snow her magic deflecting sword.
Emma’s used Hook’s act of kindness to regain her sword and soon they’re back at it again. Soon he’s got Emma on her back once again. He tells Emma he normally prefers to do other more enjoyable activities with a woman on her back.
