At Lake Nostos things are looking grim as Charming realizes the water isn’t working. Charming wants to try to find more water, but Ruth tells him to stop; she knows she’s going to die and she’s alright with it. She just wishes she could have seen them married before she dies. Done!
Oh look! They even had time to decorate. This is the slowest acting poison of ALL TIME
Lancelot performs the ceremony and just as it ends, they turn around to find that his mom is now dead.
We jump BACK to the future again now and Snow and Emma are trying to figure out how they’re going to get the wardrobe back to the camp. I’m not sure that really makes sense given that Snow didn’t even want to TALK about it near Cora, but okay, I’ll guess I’ll go with it.
Luckily Lancelot shows up just at the right moment and says he’ll help carry it back. Lancelot is showing a lot of interest in the portal and Snow wonders at that. But he assures her that he just wants to see her safely returned to her husband and Emma to her son, Henry.
Wait a schminute! The only person they mentioned Henry’s name to was CORA!!!!
Ya got me!
Cora killed Lancelot a LONG time ago and has been posing as him ever since! HOLY SHIT! Was she in two places at the same time in that camp?!??!?? What other crazy fucking magic can this witch do????
She magically pins Snow up against the wall and even wraps a carpet around Emma’s legs like a snake! But for the first time this episode, Emma proves that she DOES have some of her mom’s brains after all. She empties the gunpowder from one of her bullets and sets the wardrobe on fire!! Cora is pissed, but cuts her losses (for now at least) and disappears.
In the past, Charming has buried his mother and Snow is sad for him because she was the only family he had left. No, that’s not true, he tells her. Sheis his family now. Her and the children they will have together.
He takes out the necklace his mom had earlier and tells Snow that his mom would have wanted her to have it. There’s some superstition about it being able to predict the sex of your child. Snow says there’s something she needs to tell him, but…..the necklace is moving! That’s right! That tricky Ruth FAKED drinking the water and gave up her life so that her son could have children with Snow.
Yep. Apparently Ruth and Lancelot had some telepathic conversation and she told him to put the water in the wedding chalice. Lancelot asks what her child is going to be…..a girl (we all knew that already).
