Rumpy must have taken Milah’s deal because they’re boarding the pirate ship where RedCap has been captured and his magic bean confiscated.
She tosses it to Killian before asking Rumpy if he agrees that they should just all go their separate ways.
But what about my BAEbee?
Uh oh. I guess abandoning your child isn’t on the list of forgivable sins because Rumpy digs his fingers right into her chest and rips out her heart. DAMN! Did Cora learn that from him or did she master that little trick first? Doesn’t matter. Either way, Milah is FUCKED.
Killian is unable to save her and loses it, trying to kill Rumpy and in the process getting his hand cut off with the bean inside.
Talk about lending a hand!
Killian attacks Rumpy once more, this time with a hook, but it doesn’t work because ya can’t kill the Dark One. At least not with a hook. Having now both exacted his revenge AND gotten the bean, Rumpy takes his leave.
RedCap has Belle at the abandoned mines and handcuffs her into an old mine cart, preparing to send her over the border of Storybrooke. That magic he’s not supposed to be doing comes in handy as Rumpy is able to magically grab the cart and pull it back before Belle’s brain is churned into Swiss Cheese.
Belle thanks him for his assistance but tells him that it doesn’t change the fact that he was too cowardly to be honest with her. Her dad shows up and tries to get Belle to go with him, but she’s having none of that either. She’s a person, not a possession and they can both go fuck themselves.
You go girl!
A little later, Belle is dealing with her PTSD by scarfing down a giant breakfast courtesy of Red. Red’s also got a little box for Belle; someone dropped it off for her at the front desk.
Is it wrong that I swooned a little here?
I mean, we all know who it’s from, right? Sure enough, Rumpy shows up as Belle is checking out her new digs and fesses up to procuring the key for her. She wary of course; she thinks this might be his way of trying to woo her back to him.
That’s not it. He came because she’s right; he’s a coward. He has been his entire life. He tried to make up for it by collecting power, but the power became so important that he couldn’t let go of it. Not even when it meant losing the most important person in his life.
Belle knows (just like we do) that he really means both her AND Bae, so it melts her heart just a little bit. As Rumpy starts to leave she asks if he’s ever had a hamburger. He has. Well, she hasn’t and she was wondering if he’d like to join her for one at Granny’s sometime.
YES YES YES!!
