While everyone is mourning Archie, Hook is trying to get some answers outta him. Firstly, he wants to know where Rumpy’s dagger is. Archie doesn’t know anything about a dagger. Well then, what’s his weakness? Archie ain’t gonna tell him nothing!
Well, no one ever said that Jiminy Cricket was well known for his bravery. What I want to know is how he would know any of this stuff about Rumpy. He doesn’t strike me as the sort to spill his guts to a therapist, real or not.
Belle stops by Rumpy’s shop for a visit and he shares his good news with her. Belle is super excited for him. He shows her HIS most dear object, which is Bae’s shawl that he keeps locked up in his safe. Now that he knows the potion works, he’s ready to go off and find his kid.
Sadly, there’s only enough potion for one object, so Belle will have to stay behind and wait for her man. Hm. Can’t he just make more? I mean, he’s waited this long, what’s a couple more days, right? I just think it’s a big mistake, big, HUGE, to leave Belle behind.
We’ve no time to ponder what an awesome travel companion Belle would be because we’re heading back to FairyLand. Remember the episode where Belle was boozing it up and she advised Dreamy to always follow his heart? Well, she’s either still at the bar or back drinking, because we rejoin her there.
Dreamy comes over to thank her for her awesome love advice (He and Nova are running away together. Or not.) as some dude is trying to round up a posse to go monster hunting. The monster in this case is called a Yaoguai (thanks to the props department for the super awesome reward poster in the background!) who has been rampaging and terrorizing its way through a far away kingdom.
Bella’s obviously intrigued and Dreamy encourages her to go. She says she’s always dreamed of heroics, but she thinks it’s better if she sticks to her books, they’re the only adventures she knows of that have happy endings. Well, maybe THIS adventure will have a happy ending, Dreamy counters. Doubt it, Belle replies. The last time she faced a beast it didn’t end so well.
Dreamy tells her she’s got to go and take a chance. Belle seems like she’s looking for a counter argument but isn’t able to, so she thanks Dreamy and decides to join the hunt. As she leaves, Dreamy stops her to give her a pouch of fairy dust. It might just come in handy.
