At Snow’s place, Henry is still not dealing well with the loss of Archie. He’s calling the cricket’s office and listening to his outgoing voicemail message. Charming tells Henry that things will get better, he’s just gotta hang in there. Then Emma arrives with Pongo, saying that she’s sure Archie would want Henry to take care of him. Because there’s totally room to add a dog into the mix, right?
I draw the line at doing it in front of the dog
Emma knows it’s a little cramped and adding a dog into the mix might require them to get a little creative with the space, but Snow thinks that maybe she and Charming need their own place.
This is not the reaction she was hoping for.
Emma says she thought that this was waiting they’ve been waiting for for twenty-eight years – all of them living together. Yeah, sure, but Snow had always imagined a bigger roof. With turrets. Snow points out that they have a chance for a fresh start here in StoryBrooke. She wants them to take it.
We head back to the ship to check in with Belle. She’s found what looks to be a treasure chest, a locked treasure chest, so she finds something to pop it open, thinking that Bae’s shawl may be inside. Nope, just gold.
Hook appears asking if she’s looking for the shawl he’s holding in his hand.
Why yes, yes I am.
She tells Hook that it doesn’t belong to him, but shockingly that doesn’t convince him to return it. She glances at the gun that she’s put down on a nearby table and then they both lunge for it. Unsurprisingly, Hook comes up with the win on that one. And now Belle is screwed.
Time to head back to FairyLand! As predicted, the leg scratch is now a full blown injury that is going to prevent Mulan from going on the Yaoguai killing quest as planned. Instead, she gives Belle her sword and a pep talk about people underestimating her as well, and off Belle goes to face the beast alone.
Don’t be anything less than everything you can be!
On Hook’s ship Belle is showing off her big balls again, telling Hook she is not afraid of him AND she is not leaving without that fucking shawl. Hook admires her loyalty but says it’s a lost cause when it comes to Rumpy. She tells Hook he needs the shawl to find his son, but Hook says maybe his son doesn’t want to be found.
Then he lays some truth on Belle, telling her about how Milah begged him to take her away from her coward of a husband, and how they fell in love. He says he should have burned the shawl as soon as he got his hook on it, but he didn’t because Milah made it.
