Sounds like Regina told him she’d seen her mom’s dead body, but apparently Rumpy taught her well and she’s not dead, she’s on her way. Regina doesn’t think she needs to remind Rumpy how most unpleasant that would be for both of them. Rumpy says he can handle Cora, but Regina’s not so sure because Cora tells the story a little differently.
Well, Rumpy won last time and he can win again, he tells Regina. Yeah, except last time he didn’t have anything (or anyone) to lose. Looks like Rumpy might be inclined to help after all.
Back in FairyLand, the fantastic four trudge through the forest looking for a good spot for Aurora to take a nap and meet back up with Henry. Mulan notices the nasty burn Aurora is sporting on her arm and is not happy about it at all. She says she swore to Phillip that she’d protect Aurora not get some dames back to a land she’s never heard of.
Bitch, this is the first time I’ve been able to do something useful. Leave me be!
Meanwhile, back in Storybrooke, Regina has brought Henry’s favorite blanket over to Rumpy’s place. Rumpy assures Henry that even though Cora is pretty powerful, she’s not as powerful as he is. Regina scoffs at him.
Charming asks Henry if he’s really ready to do this and Henry says he was born to do it. He’s sick of reading about heroes; he’s ready to be one. Charming tells him that sometimes being a hero is knowing when NOT to run into the fire.
Rumpy points out that whatever he faces in the dream room of fire will be far less dangerous than what they’ll all face if he fails. And so, Rumpy sits down beside Henry to tell him a little bedtime story……Once Upon a Time…..Snow White and Prince Charming needed to stun a very powerful magician just long enough to lock him up in a very dark and creepy dungeon.
This isn’t a kissing book, is it?
Turns out that it wasn’t the quill itself that froze Rumpy back then; it was the INK. An ink that from a super rare squid ink found only at the bottom of a bottomless ocean, impossible to find unless you’re a mermaid (Squeeeeeeeeeeee! Ariel!) or Rumpy. Just so happens that back in the homeland Rumpy’s got his own private supply of this rare ink back in the jail cell that he was locked in.
Speaking of FairyLand, Aurora’s just drifting off to sleep and Emma is looking really worried. Snow reassures her that this is totes gonna work and she’ll be seeing Henry again in no time. Just then, a branch cracks. Uh oh…..I think we know what’s coming for them.
Aurora, however, is oblivious to the danger (well, that danger at least) and is back in the flame room just in time for her meeting with Henry. Henry tries to tell Aurora where to go, but every time he talks about Rumpy’s cell there’s some sort of interference and then
Aurora tries to recreate the ascension.
