They chat a bit about potion cooking and magic making, and Regina tells Henry that (aside from on Daniel) she hasn’t used magic since he asked her to stop. And after this she won’t be using again. She’s clean, working the program. At least she’s using it to help people know, Henry tells her.
Who else has a funny feeling that she’s gonna be teaching Henry a thing or two about magic before we’re through?
I think at some point he’s gonna turn to her, asking that she teach him (maybe if something happens to one of his grandparents or Emma), and you know she will if he asks her to. Then we’ll see Henry struggle with power and how it corrupts. I think that would be a really interesting turn of events.
Over in FairyLand, the ladies have finally reached the poppy place, so Mulan has some powder making to get to. (I guess we’re not going to Oz )
Now that Regina’s part is done, the curse is ready to be administered to Charming. Rumpy says they’re going to have to do it the old fashioned way; he’s going to have to prick his finger on a spinning needle.
Dude, did you just call me a prick?
Why Rumpy has to set up the whole spinning wheel thingumajig is beyond me, but I’m sure there’s a perfectly magical reason for it. Once he’s got it set up and spinning, Charming will prick his finger and off he goes to slumberland. But before that happens he finds out from Rumpy that he won’t be getting a straight shot into the flame room; only those that have been in the curse and awakened from it go straight there. He’ll have to find it once he’s under.
Have a safe trip! Don’t forget to buckle up for safety!
Henry gives him a hug goodbye and Charming tells him not to worry; he’ll be back before he knows it. How does he know? Well, how did Henry know that Emma would save him? He believed in her. Yep, the way Charming and Snow believed she’d come back and break the curse; that’s the kind of faith that runs in their family.
Excuse me, I think I might need a Benadryl. And a box of tissues.
And so, off Charming goes, to meet up with his wife. Snow’s setting off on her own trip, although she thinks she’s heading off to see Henry. Charming arrives first, but as Rumpy warned, he’s not in the flame room. Instead, he’s in a hall of mirrors. Snow, on the other hand, went right to the front of the flame line and is smack dab in the middle of the burning room, calling for Henry.
After making sure his outfit doesn’t make him look fat, Charming figures out (with the help of Henry’s pendant) how to break through to the flame room. Snow is confused to see him there; the only way he should be able to get to that room is to have been under a sleepin….oh shit.
I’m a hunk-a hunk-a burning love
